April is Autism Awareness month and every year since I started this blog I've held an Autism Awareness Auction. I remember the first year, I barely had a dozen items for bids and raised just $300. But every year the items and the amount continually climbs higher. I personally think this is the best year yet as far as participation from Authors, Blog tour hosts, Narrators and the lovely Jay Aheer of Simply Defined Art. Something new this year is Author only items. Enticing Journey Book Promotions, Simply Defined Art, Greg Tremblay Voiceovers and Sean Crisden are offering up some goodies that Authors can bid on as well. So if you are an Author participating by donating, this year you can join in on all the fun!
Here's how it works...
There is an album on the blog facebook page, TTC Books and more. Each item up for bid will have it's own image and a detailed description of the item(s) you are bidding on. Pay close attention to the descriptions, I will list whether or not the item will ship Internationally, of US only. If you are in the UK and you bid on a US only item and you are the winning bid, you will forfeit said item. I list shipping clearly with each item/image, so please read carefully. As well, if you are not an Author, you do not want to bid on things like book covers or blog tours.
The auction will run from 12:01AM on April 1st - 12:01AM on April 30th. The highest bid at 12:01AM on April 30th will win that item. I will leave a comment and tag you if you won asking you to email me your contact info. I'll send you the link to go to the Autism Awareness site and make a donation in the amount of your winning bid(s). You immediately get a receipt from the organization that you will forward to me. I will then send all the details to the person that donated that item and they will either ship your book(s) or contact you if you win one of the Author bids.
Now this is important so pay attention. You have 24 hours to respond to my comment that you won the item. After that, the item goes to the 2nd highest bidder, and so forth.
