Damaged Goods by Susan Mac Nicol (Men of London book 7) Release Blitz!

Touched by tragedy, love is an elusive dream never to be realised by eighteen-year-old Jax Grady--until he discovers his secret admirer and receives the sweetest gift he could ever desire.

THE SWEETEST GIFT

Tragedy and horror shaped Jackson Grady's life, leaving him orphaned and scarred. At eighteen he's ready to claim his future, but who could love his disfigured face and damaged soul? Definitely not a big, burly, beautiful Irish Traveller who is entirely the stuff of dreams.

Dare Rowan didn't mean to become obsessed with the blue-eyed man he first saw across a field, but that porcelain skin and innocent air demanded another meeting. Jax has the face of a wounded angel, and the rest of the young man is as heart-breakingly perfect. Jax is beautiful in every way and teaching him about love and life will be something Dare will embrace. Like unwrapping and savouring the candy at the shop where he works, Dare will show this young man everything Jax desired but never thought he'd have, and take Jax to new highs while he holds him through the lows. Between them, they’ll find out just how sweet life can be.

“Who’s there?” he called out. Jax hated the slight quaver in his voice, not wanting to appear defenceless to a potential burglar. “I can hear you, so no use hiding. Just tell me what you want here. Or get the fuck out of my home.”

He wouldn’t tip his hand, telling the burglar he had a weapon. Let the bastard find out for himself, he thought grimly. The scuffling noise stopped and now all Jax could hear was someone’s steady breathing.

Jax stood straight and tall, hoping he looked intimidating in the dim light, where no one could see he wasn’t superhero material.

A quiet voice echoed from the darkness. “I’m not here to rob you or hurt anyone. I hope I didn’t scare you.” The voice sounded familiar and Jax frowned, trying to place it.

“I’m not scared.” Jax gripped the poker tighter. “Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?” He let out the breath he hadn’t known he was holding and scowled, reaching down to fumble for the table lamp. He switched it on and the room flooded with warm light. Jax momentarily closed his eyes, trying to adjust to it. When he opened them, a large, blurred figure stood by the door to the hallway. It was half open and Jax guessed the man had been trying to make a clean break away from whatever he’d been doing in the house.

Jax stepped around the huddled blanket on the floor and made his way closer to the other man.

If he was going to hurt me, he’d have done it already.

“Are you going to tell me what the hell you’re doing in this house?” he demanded. Something propelled him forward; he didn’t feel nervous anymore, simply curious. As Jax got closer, he squinted at the stranger, trying to see him more clearly.

“I came to return something.” The other man’s even tone sent a shiver through Jax’s body. “Something that was taken from you that didn’t belong where it was.”

Now Jax was sure he knew the person behind the voice. It surely couldn’t be who he thought it was, could it?He moved, closing the distance until he could see more clearly. The sight that greeted his eyes took his breath away.

God, it is Dare from the mall. Crap, he’s one sexy beast. Even if he might be a serial killer.

Jax waved the poker at Dare. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

Dare huffed. “It’s a long story.” He eyed the poker dubiously. “Really, a poker? That’s your weapon of choice?”

Jax snorted. “I can clobber you with it if you try anything. Come on, dude. Tell me what the hell is going on. Are you that desperate to have coffee with me?”

Dare laughed, a little shakily. “‘Dude?’ You love that word. It’s pretty cute when you say it. And yes, I’m definitely partial to having coffee with you one way or another. But this wasn’t quite what I had planned.”

Jax blinked. His eyes felt gritty and sore and he had gunk bunging up one corner of his left eye. He reached up and rubbed it away softly. “How do you know I use the word ‘dude’ often?”

Dare gave a deep, indrawn breath. There was silence. Jax got the impression Dare had revealed something he wasn’t supposed to.

Jax grew impatient. “Are you going to tell me anything anytime soon? Because if not, I’ll call out for the owner of the house and he can call the cops, then we’ll get the story—”

“No, no police.” For the first time Dare sounded panicked. “God, you’re so damn feisty.”

Jax got the impression that wasn’t a problem for this man from his admiring tone. Jax’s groin warmed more. Now his dick was standing at half-mast and it was the last thing he needed if he did have to call on Randy.

I’m getting a hard-on for someone who broke into the house. Could shit get any weirder?

“So, what’s the story, Mr Dark and Sexy? Do you actually have one or are you just an opportunistic burglar making something up?”

The chuckle that emanated from Dare’s mouth was low, and yes, still damn sexy.

“Really? You think I’m dark and sexy?” Dare’s face twisted into a grin. “I’m flattered. You’re something yourself.”

Jax went on the offensive. “Do you always hit on people whose houses you break into? What are you, like, the Flirty Burglar or something?”

Really? This god of a man thinks I’m something? And honestly—the Flirty Burglar. Face palm.

No Quarter (Bounty - book one) by @Christine_dAbo Virtual Tour | Spotlight, Excerpt & #giveaway {@RiptideBooks}

Hello, my name is Christine d’Abo! Thank you so much for having me here on the blog today. I have been a big fan of all things science fiction since I was six. I started by watching reruns of the original Star Trek, moved on to watching (and re watching) Star Wars, and finally I was introduced to the world of Doctor Who.

My world exploded, expanded and I loved it all. The idea of space operas, and how they focus on the people and their developments, rather than the science was what appealed even at that young an age. The adventure, the romance, good versus evil, showed me that there could be more to live that what existed in my tiny world.

As I got older and my life experiences grew, I never lost that love of space opera. One thing that I wanted to do was to put my own mark on it, to show a different side to the worlds that had been portrayed. The Bounty series was my way of doing that. Not everyone in the universe is straight, and it’s important to show diversity out amongst the stars as well as here on Earth.

The men and women you’ll meet – both space pirates and bounty hunters alike – are full of life, love and are most definitely up to no good. I hope you enjoy reading their tales as much as I loved writing them.

About No Quarter

When bounty hunter Gar Stitt is given a simple locate-and-retrieve mission, he’s convinced it’s a waste of his skills. His success rate is legendary, after all, and Captain Faolan Wolf isn’t hard to find. He’s the most notorious pirate in the galaxy, and when he shows up planetside to take his pleasures, he’s far from subtle.

Faolan never expected a hot but tightly wound hunter to walk into his private party and try to apprehend him single-handedly. And when an unexpected betrayal forces them to work together, Faolan’s even more surprised to find himself drawn to Gar personally—especially since neither of them do personal.

Gar had intended to put Faolan in prison. Instead he finds his solitary existence shaken by his desire for the pirate. And when the bounty hunter becomes the hunted, he must put his faith in Faolan and his pirate crew, or run the risk of ending up dead.

Excerpt:

Gar had long since become accustomed to hell. It suited him.
The crowd parted, making it easier for him to avoid the layer of scum that clung to everything and everyone in the place. When he reached the back room, the captain’s voice slipped from the half-shut door. Two rather bulky men flanked the entrance, large, meaty arms crossed over their chests. Gar laced his hands behind his back and let his gaze slide from the man on the left to the one on the right. Their clubbed fists would easily crack his jaw, but he doubted it would come to a single blow. Cocking a lean eyebrow, he waited.
It didn’t take long for the man on the left to squirm.
“Private party,” the behemoth slurred.
Gar snorted.
“The captain doesn’t want to be disturbed,” the one on the right bit out, a little more coherent than his mate.
Bowing his head toward the man, Gar took a half step closer. He didn’t raise his voice, despite the resurgence of the blaring music. No, he kept it even, his words clipped and clear.
“Open the door.”
“Why the fuck should we listen to you?” the guard on the right spat, pushing his face into Gar’s as he did.
Gar jabbed his thumb into the side of the man’s throat, collapsing him to the floor, gasping and coughing. The movement was so fast the other bouncer barely had time to blink before Gar returned his hands to their original position behind his back. Raising his eyebrow again, he waited for the remaining man to push the door all the way open.
Gar spoke softly as he stepped over the moaning man. “He’ll need medical attention. You might want to see to it immediately.”
In the back room, a red haze hung high in the air, the sweet scent telling him that it was most likely an erotigen. Great, now he was going to have a hard-on for a week. He stepped fully into the room and waited for someone to notice his presence.
It took longer than expected.
Captain Wolf lay on a large, thick pallet that covered most of the floor. He was barefoot, wearing only a pair of black leather pants and a rich-green military jacket that gaped open. His bare chest and stomach were partially covered by the long hair of a woman currently fighting with a young, attractive man for the privilege of sucking the captain’s cock. His wide grin exposed a mouth full of perfect white teeth, and amusement made his eyes sparkle.
“Now, Jona, you must learn to share. There’s more than enough of me to go around and Ziva has been more than patient.”
The cooing and moaning of the pair would have been funny under different circumstances. For that matter, the impressive size of the captain’s cock would have been a matter of interest. Gar knew the only thing it rivaled was the size of the man’s ego.
His slow gaze moved up Wolf’s body and over his chest, taking in the long brown hair that reached the top of his shoulders, and finally coming to rest on his startling blue gaze. It took all Gar’s years of training to keep his surprise from showing. He’d only laid eyes on the captain once before, during a time when he’d been in no position to draw attention to himself or his actions. Now, subjected to Wolf’s piercing inspection, long-buried feelings of uncertainty and inexperience rose.
The captain’s amusement never wavered, even as he pulled Jona’s mouth from his straining cock and leaned forward to stage-whisper in his ear. “It seems we have company.”
“Captain Wolf.”
“Ooh, now that is an accent I haven’t heard in a very long time. Damasmus? No, too refined for there. Zeten?” He shifted his weight to one hip, attempting to look around Gar. “Can’t see the stick up your ass, but it must be there.”
“Stand up.”
“I’d much rather you lie down. Take that jacket off. Maybe your pants. I’ll look for the stick.”
The pair on either side of Wolf snickered, the woman turning her head to lick his nipple. The captain gazed down at her and placed a kiss on her forehead. Gar didn’t look away, but knew he was being tested—the captain was trying to catch him off guard.
“Look, I don’t mind sharing. She’s quite good.”
Gar let out a soft sigh, but the captain’s hearing was too good.

Believing Blue (Manchaster Menage collection book 3) by @NikkieColville | Tams Review, Dream Cast & #giveaway

Is there a fated path we follow, or is it simply a series of coincidental events?

Police officer Kellan Howard is rumoured to have spent too much time in sub-zero temperatures, leaving him with a block of ice for a heart and women lining up to help thaw it. Mountain climbing is his only love, leaving no time for a relationship, and although meaningless sex satisfies his physical need, it’s empty. When he attends a fatal traffic accident, he didn’t expect his entire life to change. Along with a final message, Kellan is offered something else from the dying man: the chance to fall in love. Kellan’s never considered being with a man, but when he meets Valentino, he’s instantly drawn to him.

Suffering from crippling agoraphobia, talented Italian artist Valentino has a solitary existence, only experiencing life outside the house through his partner Stuart. When their relationship comes to an abrupt end, Kellan helps ease his suffering. A deep bond binds the two men together, and the sexual tension can’t be denied, but Valentino questions if the distance between their very different lives is too much, and if they can bridge the gap by themselves.

Ballet dancer Blue has a vibrant personality which demands attention, but his humour and courageous attitude are a shield. Blue’s good at making others believe in themselves, but what he needs is someone to believe in him. He could be the bridge both men are looking for, but Blue’s never allowed anyone to get too close, and when Kellan and Valentino enter his life, he desperately tries to protect his heart and his secrets.

When all three meet, the chemistry is undeniable, but each have fears about moving forwards. Together, they learn love comes in many forms. It can’t be restrained or labelled, and it doesn’t always appear in the way you first imagined.

**Blue is a standalone book, and although characters from previous books do make an appearance, it won't spoil their stories if you choose to read them afterwards.**

Tams 5 Star review...

Officer Kellan Howard spends all his time not on the job climbing mountains and hiking, he is very much an adventurer at heart. It's this experience that has Kellan out assisting stranded motorists during a bad snow storm. When he stumbles upon a bad wreck, the last thing he expects is for the man in the car to ask Kellan to take care of the partner he will be leaving behind.

Valentino hasn't left the home he and his partner Stuart share in years, a strangling case of agoraphobia keeps a tight reign on the Italian painter. When Kellan knocks on his door with the news of Stuart's death, even then, Tino can't bring himself to step foot across the threshold of his prison disguised as a home.

Blue Parr-OT is lightening in a bottle! Young, vivacious, and frightening, the adorable little blonde pixie that reminds Kellan of Tinker Bell on crack, has no filter and no problem putting all six foot four inches of Kellan Howard in his place. The ballet dancer has more energy than ten grown men and does a fantastic job of hiding his vulnerability beneath a smart mouth and quick wit.

As Kellan fulfills Stuart's dying request, looking after Tino, the two develop a bond that blurs the lines between friendship and romance. When push comes to shove, Tino pushes Kellan away, certain he will never be able to love Kellan the way he deserves because his heart still belongs to Stuart. Enter Blue. From the first glance and accidental shove, the two go out of their way to make the other miserable. Foreplay. The banter back and forth is hysterical and in an odd way, it causes them both to let down their guard and genuinely begin to care for each other. Blue is young and he's been hurt by a man he trusted and loved, so he is understandably hesitant to move too fast. Kellan refuses to let him go though, he lost his chance at happiness with Tino, allowing the man to shut Kellan out of his life, he will not let Blue do the same. In a strange twist of fate, the three men end up tied together and trying to figure out how they can move forward without one of them winding up alone and broken hearted.

This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions let me just tell you. Laughter, tears, angst and love all woven together to create the perfect triad for these three men. Each one has their own distinct, individual personality that, when joined, strengthens their relationship as a throuple. There are some kinks to work through first though and lord if Blue doesn't make it come across as hysterical insanity. Seriously, the banter back and forth between Blue and Kellan will leave you in stitches, and it never stops. Tino is a lover not a fighter, however, Blue could test the patience of a saint. What I found very intriguing was that every time Blue went off on a tangent about something vital or important, he was usually right and though his men cussed, yelled and gave just as good as they got... they knew their young, inexperienced partner only had their best interest at heart.

There was an amazing twist toward the end of the book that blew me away, the circle of life, that's all I'm gonna say. If you are a fan of menage stories, characters with attitude and flair and/or hard fought for happy ever afters, you simply must read this book. Start at the beginning though if you haven't read any of the previous books. Each story is about a different throuple, yes, but it's a continuation so to speak.

Oh but I loved this book, this series in fact. I always like to visualize while I'm reading and usually get a pretty sound idea of what I think the characters look like based on their description as well as their attitude and persona.

Kellan is big guy with a heart of gold. Both Tino and Blue see him as their Knight in Shining Armor.. he is fierce, loyal and sexy. This is how I see Kellan, with those intense eyes that can see right through to Tino and Blue's souls.

Valentino comes across as very vivid to me. He's an artist, a slightly tortured soul and more than once Kellan and Blue talk about his curly hair.
I see him as a lover, not a fighter, well... he will make an exception for Blue.

Kellan calls Blue Tinker Bell. He is loud, vivacious, crude and occasionally socially unacceptable. Tino calls Blue his beautiful boy with his intense blue eyes and platinum blonde hair, he successfully wraps both men around his little finger.

Author bio: After being married for over ten years and raising three beautiful kids, I decided it was time to do something for myself. My passion for reading bled over with a need to tell the story that was repeating in my head and that was the birth of my first book. The rest they say is history. I love the creative release that writing gives me, being able to take someone away to a different world feels amazing. As a reader I know how important that escape is, and as a writer I love to be able to give people that. My other loves include music and reading (in case I haven't mentioned that before) and then when I have time a little more reading. I think if I could read for a living I would, but since I can't I will continue on the writing side of things.
