Beach Balls (Balls to the Wall Book 3) by Tara Lain | Cat's Release day Review, Excerpt & #giveaway @Dreamspinners @taralain

A Balls to the Wall Romance

Adam James is so far in the closet he could find Narnia. As an attorney for the homophobic WMA Development, he can’t come out without risking the million-dollar paycheck waiting for him once they push their big land development deal through the city council—money that will finally allow Adam to live according to his own terms. Then, on an early morning scuba dive, Adam meets a tall, lean rebreather diver named Sky who makes him want to hug a tree.

Sky Sea Mickeljohn stands for the environment, world peace, and being openly gay. He won’t compromise his principles for anyone—even the damned lying developer lawyer he can’t help lusting after. True, the WMA land development deal could put thousands of people at risk, but Sky still wants to risk his heart. In the fight between freedom and integrity, is there a place for love?

Beach balls is book three of the Balls to the Walls series. They can be read as stand-a-lones. This is a cute, feel good series, so I suggest reading them all in any order you like.

Adam is a successful and wealthy development lawyer. He is working with a client that could net him a million dollars for this one job. He doesn't like some of the men in his group and has a gut feeling something is off. But a million dollars is a lot of money. He is lonely and tired of living in the closet.  He doesn't even go to clubs but once a month goes to a friend of his that has a large beach house and arranges parties for wealthy businessmen so they may hook up. With men like themselves. One day at Carly's beach house he goes for a dive and finds another diver looking at an octopus. He tries to see, and he and the diver get into an undersea altercation. Above the water, they find a mutual attraction and hook up. They begin seeing each other until they find themselves on opposing teams at the city council meeting over the project Adam is working on.

I loved both Adam and Sky. Thier characters are well developed, and I love the contrast and Opposites attract, and enemies to lovers story line. The story itself is fun, fast, sweet and sexy. What more could you want? If you hot lawyers, sexy conservationists, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, dancing octopus and some steamy sex this is for you.

Excerpt...

SKY LOADED his gear in the back of the Prius, stalked to the driver’s side and got in. What exactly are you considering? That made him grin and frown at the same time.
He started up and pulled out of the parking area, crossing the highway to head left toward home. Time to trade fish for a dog, a cat, and dinner and petting for all. Well, petting for Gore, his mutt, and Cousteau, the cat, but none for Sky.
Maybe that’s why I didn’t shut that guy, James, down. Sky might like animals more than people, but his cock didn’t and he sure as hell wasn’t immune to dark hair and big brown eyes above an athlete’s hard body. James looked to be a major player, but for a night, Sky could use some playtime. Funny, he usually wouldn’t mess with a rich-bitch corporate type like James, but something in those wide eyes spoke of a longing for freedom. That desire Sky understood down to the ground.
