Paul Auster and Vince Taylor just want to have a simple wedding. Really, is that too much to ask? As the big day approaches, they struggle to keep everything from spiraling out of control. From meddling friends and intrusive family, to a certain drag queen's idea as to what constitutes a normal bachelor party, Paul and Vince have their work cut out for them.

  • "I laughed so hard I nearly had an asthma attack!"
    Overall
    Performance
    Story
What made the experience of listening to Until You the most enjoyable?
all of Michael Leslie's voices. He didn't read the story he acted it. with sighs, snorts, sexy voices the whole nine yards. It was amazing!

Who was your favorite character and why?
Oh gosh. its like M&Ms how can you pick one ( or is that potato chips) *shrugs* I think you get my meaning. Pall was sweet with his insecurities, Vince the dumb jock was way to adorable, Sandy/ Helena and her flaming queenness. Then we have mom pop and Nanna... Nope can't choose!

What about Michael Lesley’s performance did you like?
Every thing! Especially the sounds he added with the performance. When he shrieked with Paul and the audience at the bachelor party I nearly spit my soda everywhere!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
oh yes. Don't listen in public. You may get committed for laughing so hard! Then Vince's vow *wipes tear*

    Any additional comments?
Oh, my can I have for than five stars? This story was so cute and it's one that will definitely give you the feels, but with this performance I guarantee you laughs galore!

You know a story that starts with a seven-year-old marrying Robo-cop and his mom and dad dropping everything to help make it happen has to be a sign of a good story. I admit I haven't read the previous two but had no trouble following along. I will say I plan to change that very, very soon and read the first two or get them in audio!

I loved every single character; the story was sweet, very humorous, charming and plain old feel good. If you have been down and out and need some cheering up grab this audio and give it a listen (just not in public).

  • When TJ Klune was eight, he picked up a pen and paper and began to write his first story (which turned out to be his own sweeping epic version of the video game Super Metroid—he didn’t think the game ended very well and wanted to offer his own take on it. He never heard back from the video game company, much to his chagrin). Now, over two decades later, the cast of characters in his head have only gotten louder, wondering why he has to go to work as a claims examiner for an insurance company during the day when he could just stay home and write.

Since being published, TJ has won the Lambda Literary Award for Best Gay Romance, fought off three lions that threatened to attack him and his village, and was chosen by Amazon as having written one of the best GLBT books of 2011.

And one of those things isn’t true.

(It’s the lion thing. The lion thing isn’t true.)

  3. Thanks for your review. I wasn't a big fan of Tell Me It's Real, however I do like Michael Lesley's work.
