Their Bounty (Four Mercenaries Book 1) by K.A. Merikan | Cat’s Review & #giveaway @AgnesMerikan @KA_Merikan @TTCBooksandmore

Title: Their Bounty
Series: Four Mercenaries Book 1
Author: K.A. Merikan
Date: May 20th 2019

Taken. Prized. Possessed. Loved. ---

Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one.

His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy their depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.

The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.

But can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?

Tank. The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s Daddy.
Pyro. Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence.
Boar. Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly.
Drake. Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.

Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

Cat gives this one 4 Meows...

Warning: This is erotica, it is dark with lots of dubious consent and some violence. (There is no on-screen rape or anything really bad. These authors have a good style and taste in their dark romance) Also, this is a book on in an ongoing series and must be read in order so start now...it's worth it.

I have just recently begun reading from K.A. Merikan with their Underdogs book 3 and fell in love with the dark stories.  Though erotica isn't my scene I do like a good ménage, love mercenaries, and bad boys and have not read a reverse harem so this ticked lots of my boxes and I wanted to try. I can skim past sex scenes if I feel the need. I am glad I took a chance on this book.

(Read the blurb for a rundown I can't say much more without spoilers)
I was won over with the characters. Clover was a surprise. though he is the center of the reverse harem and offers himself to them all in payment for protection, he is by no means a cowering twink. he is full of spunk and defiance that gets him in trouble more than once. Tank is the leader and also the one that wants to take on Clover though he knows he is spout lies about the friends on the other end of the journey.  Boar and Pyro are in a relationship but being two Alphas and Pyro is all toppy they like taking on a third and always wanted a steady one to please them both but  it was hard doing so through apps or hook-ups since they really couldn't tell their jobs or share their personal lives and Clover happened to fit perfectly in both men's needs. I loved the dynamics of Pyro and Boar's relationship. Two alpha, tough men but you could see the love between them and Pyro is very protective of Boar's feelings. Then there was Drake. Dark, mysterious and brooding Drake that was not keen on keeping Clover.  He kept me on my toes and I really wanted more Drake

There is a good storyline, A twist, and a hot, sexy ending.  The sex is a lot but fits in the story and wasn't overwhelming.

I would have liked a little more on the mercenary front seen them in action more and how they all met, but they may be coming.
