Someone is trying to kill Marc Foster.

Attempted poisoning was bad enough, but when the would-be killer messes with the brakes on Marc’s precious Porsche, the art dealer admits he needs help. He just wasn’t expecting help to be quite so dark and sexy.

Royce Karras loves his job at Ward Security. He’s making up for a lifetime of bad decisions and a bloody past he’d rather forget. But Marc isn’t the spoiled rich boy he thought he’d be protecting. Sticking close to Marc as his “boyfriend” gives Royce insight into his toxic family, but it also reveals a brilliant, compassionate man who completely disarms Royce. Against his better judgment, Royce finds himself falling.

But can they find a way to make it work when Royce’s past threatens to tear their lives apart? Their future hinges on a lost Renaissance painting, six Bichon Frises, and a pornographic Robin Hood.

No worries, right?

Cat gives this one 5 Meows with a 3 Purr heat index...

Marc is a millionaire and after the second attempt on his life goes to Ward Security for help.  He hates to admit it but it looks like the one after him could be a family member.  Royce is hired to play his boyfriend to help solve the mystery and protect Marc.  The play acted soon becomes real but then Royce's past comes out to tear everything apart. He tells Marc the problem and Marc also has a past... some of his acquisitions aren't as easily or legally obtained. Marc calls in a friend and they go to get a painting to help both get it in a museum where it belongs and free Royce of his past.

I think this so far is my favorite of the three Ward security books. Though I have loved them all, something about Royce and his past and Marc just mesh and the touch of humor when they bring in Marc's friend seals the deal. There are so many twists and lots of smoking sex and of course a happy ending.

Again, this is a great book, But Kenneth Obi's narration just adds so much more to the story. I love his evil laughter, the grunts and emotion he puts into the sex scenes and emotions when someone is in danger.  Iy just adds so much to an already good book.
Jocelynn Drake... By day, Jocelynn Drake is a clean-cut financial editor, picking apart stories about Wall Street and the global markets. But in her free time, she writes about explosions, car chases, men in search of love, and underworlds where vampires and warlocks rule.

The author of Dark Days, Asylum Tales, and Unbreakable Bonds series, she lives in Florida with her husband, dog, and cat. When she's not working on her next book, she's usually hiding from the sun by playing video games.

Rinda Elliott... While all of my books are romantic and sexy, most lean toward erotic. For adult books that are just sexy, there are my Beri O'Dell books and if you're looking for sweeter, but still sexy, there's the young adult trilogy I wrote for Harlequin Teen. All of the others? Expect some heat because I love it. ;) I also love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children.
