My Christmas wedding is out the door, and all I want to do is drop off the face of the Earth.

When my best friend gifts me a Christmas cruise package to Hawaii, I’m on it like flies on my ex-fiancé’s face. Twelve days and nights with complete strangers; no cell phones or internet. Sounds like the perfect getaway for me.

I’m in trouble as soon as I board the S.S. Bird of Paradise. The first person I run into is - Jordan Reed, the boy who pulled my pigtails, threw spit wads at me, and made grade school a nightmare come true. It’s too late to disembark, and why should I? I’m here to put fun back in my life and show that ex of mine that I’m doing just fine.

Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone. Both these guys need a lesson from Dani (that’s me).

Is it wrong to have a bit of fun along with revenge? It’s not like anyone is here for love, right? A bit of fun mixed with hijinks and pranks. It will be perfect.

Bring on the seashells and mistletoe. Let’s get this party started!

Dani has been jilted at the alter for jumping out of her fiancé’s wedding cake. Her best friend Jade has offered her a Christmas cruise for the two of them getting pampered and having fun.
Plans quickly change as Jade is nowhere to be seen and Jades younger cousin Jordan has been sent to replace her and show her a good time. When they were young, they spent all the time pranking each other and pranks resume, But Dani can’t help but notice how sexy Jordan has grown up to be.

This story is so much fun. There are sparks between Jordan and Dani, sizzling kisses under the mistletoe, fun pranks that make the story funny as well as sexy, Lots of quirky characters especially the elderly people celebrating their High school reunion.  There is just about everything you would want in a sensual, lighthearted romance here. Toss in a holiday vacation and Hawaii and you get even more romance and fun.

I love Charlie Ongel as a female narrator. I do have to say I am used to her with Tor Thom and this one is a single narration. It is still amazing but a few of her voices came off a bit silly for me. (the older men especially and a couple of the older women) They were just a bit squeaky or cartoonish), Other than that the narration was intriguing, brought life to the book and Charlie’s voice is very pleasant.

Vin has maxed out his credit cards to go to Rome for his father’s memorial though he doesn’t know why the man left when he was a baby and when he reached out to him after his Mom's death he was turned away again. Plus, it’s two days before Christmas. He finds himself stuck in an elevator and nearly late when the man stuck with him offers help.

Luca doesn’t know what made him help the man and even go inside for the memorial with a total stranger, but something just called to him. Then he even offers him to stay with him since he had one reservation besides, he was alone and welcomed company for Christmas

Oh man, where do I start? This up above is my perfect idea of romance but there are so many fun, cute, then sexy scenes. I can’t say much more but what seems like love, at first sight, slows down and blooms over a year with a promise to meet at the romantic fountain on Christmas Eve if things are meant to be.

The narration is amazing with good voices, lots of excitement and had me sighing and drooling and wanting more!

Rio Alcázar is tired of small-time hit jobs.

Especially small-time hit jobs that send him to the ass-end of Florida when half the state's underwater, the other half is covered in mosquitoes, and he's on the trail of a small-time scientist whose kill fee won't even buy a cheeseburger with 2291 inflation standards.

He's desperate. Hard up for money. Doesn't know what to do.

Until the biggest hit of all comes in.

A high-value contract. An under the table job. And...a priest.

In 1612.

What the hell.

Rio isn't sure why the priest needs to die. But suddenly the scientist he'd meant to kill is his only ally as he hopscotches through cities and time, chasing Friar Lyons down a rabbit hole that takes Rio closer to home than he'd ever wanted to be. With his tech assets cut off by centuries and oceans, Rio's on a countdown, at a loss, and not sure he can even pull this off. Especially when hunting Lyons through the past may change Rio in ways that could make or destroy his future...as he races both Lyons and himself to meet his mark in perfect time.

I’m going to admit I don’t know a lot a lot time travel and I found myself lost in this book a lot.
Rio is an assassin in the future sent back in time to kill a priest. There are a lot of twists and action and the book is interesting. The narration I listened to was interesting and gave the story life. I liked the different voices and accents for each character.

Lina Langley is a first-generation immigrant. She currently lives in sunny Florida and spends her time slashing hot strangers while getting coffee. Her past is haunted by spies, thieves, tyrants, and murderers. A resident of the world, she’s lived on three different continents. She first saw a radiator when she was twenty-two years old, and one time she followed a cat instead of going to a house party. She likes to read, watch TV, and play video games when she’s not developing them. Cat's Audiobook Review of Only Way to Live (Mechanics of Love, Book 1) Written by M.A. Innes Narrated by Kenneth Obi @AuthorShawM @KObiNarrator @TTCBooksandmore

The Only Way to Live
The Mechanics of Love, Book 1
Written by: M.A. Innes
Narrated by: Kenneth Obi
Publisher: Shaw Montgomery
Language: English
Unabridged Audiobook
Release date: 05-28-20

Flirting with his friend’s father was supposed to be just fun and games for Derek, but what happens when teasing leads to unexpected questions and some surprising curiosity?

Derek has known the unflappable Sean for years, and nothing ever gets a reaction out of the attractive older man. Nothing, that is, until Derek senses some unexpected curiosity from the man he always thought was straight. But who better than an adventurous switch to help Sean explore his wild side?

Sean knows better than to take Derek’s teasing seriously. There’s a reason he’s always called the impetuous younger man “the pest”. But when Derek’s playful banter leads to some interesting reactions, Sean has to decide what’s more important - hiding behind what he’s always assumed or finally getting to discover who he really was all along.

The story contains m/m sexual content, playful use of the term daddy, BDSM elements, spanking, a mischievous switch, a fun adult toy store, and a man who always thought he was straight.

Author’s note: There is no age play in this book, although Derek loves to drive Sean crazy about their age difference.

Cat gives this one 5 Meows Overall with a 4 Purr heat index...

The only way to live is a very good age gap story. Derek loves flirting with Sean his best friend’s father and always has. Though now he is all grown up and he is very attracted to the man.  But not only will he have to see if the man is at least bi but could be interested in Derek’s lifestyle.

The characters are all so interesting, I think Jules stole my heart though and I can’t wait for his story.  There is a lot going on and the story is fast paced and interesting.

I will say though that I loved the narration and think Kenneth Obi brought this story and all the characters to life. He always adds so much excitement and really amps up the sex scenes. I adored his voice for Jules.

If you have been kinda interested in a bit of kink, some bondage, a little bit of littles and age play this is a nice soft intro.

If you like age-gap, age play, switches, gay for you, coming out and a good, sweet romance with kink this is for you!

I write as Shaw Montgomery and M.A. Innes. Normally I write femdom erotic romance and BDSM erotic romance under the name Shaw Montgomery. M.A. Innes is my alter ego who loves kinkier things like age play and other fun fantasies. I love hearing from readers so please feel free to ask questions or make comments. Cat's Release day Review of Stacking the Deck (The Kings: Wild Cards #1) by Charlie Cochet @charliecochet @TTCBooksandmore

Ex-Special Forces Communications Sergeant Jacopo “Jack” Constantino knows a thing or two about communications technology. As head of Cyber Security at Four Kings Security, Jack spends his days working with high-tech systems. Life for Jack is pretty uneventful—despite working with his brothers-in-arms—and he finds himself longing for a little excitement.

Be careful what you wish for.

Two years ago, Fitz Harlow captured Jack’s heart and walked away with it. Now he’s back.

Fitz spent the last two years picking up the pieces of his life after a disastrous end to a ten-year relationship. After much therapy, and ice cream, Fitz leaves the fashion world behind and returns home to St. Augustine to open his own high-end salon, Hair Comes Trouble. Two years later, Fitz finally has the quiet, peaceful life he’s wanted for so long. There’s only one thing missing, or rather, one man missing, but Fitz has his doubts. With Jack, he’s not just gaining a boyfriend, he’s gaining a boyfriend, his family of mischief-magnet ex-Green Berets, and one highly opinionated Belgian Malinois.

Fitz and Jack discover their connection has only grown stronger over time, thanks in part to meddling friends, but just as they start to pick up where they left off, someone takes objection to their reunion. Danger hides in the shadows, a stalker determined to keep Fitz out of Jack’s life, no matter the cost. With the odds stacked against them, can Jack and Fitz win a battle against an unknown enemy, or will Jack lose Fitz forever?

The Kings: Wild Cards series is a spin-off of the Four Kings Security series.

I loved the Kings and was happy to get more. I have been wanting Jack's story for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Plus, we still get more of the Kings and their partners. It took me a minute to remember Fitz but then when I did, I was ecstatic because I had loved him.  So, Jack has liked Fitz since their first run in but after two years and many messages, their paths haven't crossed.  Finally, Laz talks Fitz into seeing Jack and sparks fly!  Then one twist after another come and the result is explosive... Literally!

I love all the characters and we had lots more Ace and the other guy's shenanigans to break the drama and tension of the suspense.  I loved this story and cannot wait for Joker's book!

Fight For It is a great first book in a series. There is a lot of building of the world (town), lots of describing and backstory of other characters, so in my opinion the main Characters lost a little page time. However, saying that, I did love all the characters especially Jay (he stole the story).

I cannot wait to listen to the other books in this series... especially Jay!

The narration is good though a bit choppy more like reading than acting.  I did love the voices especially Jay, his personality just hopped off the page.

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades haven't driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking. She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm. A.D. uses she/her or they/them pronouns.

Duncan cannot remember his name or anything. Pierce says he is his husband, but something feels off. Instead of loving feelings when Pierce is near Duncan has an odd feeling.  The longer it takes for Duncan to remember Pierce the more impatient he gets and who is Pierce anyways? His stories to Duncan just don’t add up then small memories start to surface, and they are not the same as Pierce says.

OMG is this book good.  There are so many twists and at times I began to wonder if perhaps it was Duncan with the problems, then more twist and as the story unfolded, I began to fear for Duncan myself. Al I can say about the ending is wow oh wow!
Maxx Power is new to me narrator and at first, I wasn’t sure how I felt but as the story picked up, I quite enjoyed it. The book would be a good read, but I think the audio really brings it to life and amps up the suspense factor.

If you like chilling phycological thrillers, nail-biting suspense, twists, and a good page-turning read… You never go wrong with Brittany Cournoyer and Sinister Shadows is amazing.

Brittany was born in a small town in Alabama and moved to Indiana when she was thirteen years old. She currently resides there and works as an operator at a local hospital. When she isn't working, she loves to spend her free time writing stories, playing with her puppy, Delilah, watching television, and spending time with loved ones.

Cat's Audiobook Review of Destined to Fall Written by Louisa Mae Narrated by Dan Calley @louisamaeauthor @TTCBooksandmore

Destined to Fall

Length: 6 hrs and 10 mins
Unabridged Audiobook
Release date: 04-30-20
Language: English
Publisher: Louisa Mae

There are parts of our lives which are predestined, and no matter how hard we try, we can’t change what will happen - what must happen. Andrew Manners understood that better than most, but it didn’t change how he felt about his past or his desire to change it.

Even angels have regrets, and after living two mortal lifetimes in his angelic form, and with countless other years ahead, he would give it all up to be with the man he’d loved and lost for just one short lifetime together.

“Everything has a price. Every journey has an end.”

The price Andrew paid when his journey ended was immortality. A gift, some would say. A curse, others would whisper.

He’s walked the earth for almost 100 years, putting aside all selfish needs while caring and offering comfort to others. When he finds a dying man on the streets of London, he’s unprepared for how it will change his life.

“I never knew how my life could change in such a short space of time, or how one decision would affect the outcome in such a monumental way.”

Josh is inconsolable after losing his partner, and as Andrew guides the grief stricken man through his pain, he’s forced to recall his own mortal life and the lover he left behind. Looking back allows him to see what he could find with Josh, but such a strong bond shouldn’t exist between a mortal and an angel, and Andrew struggles with the demands of his angelic duties and what his heart needs.

“I found out it was possible to love, and be loved in return, only to face losing it all.”

Knowing a relationship can only bring them both heartache, and unable to explain his angelic form, Andrew believes he will spend an eternity mourning what could have been.

“The true measure of love is what you’re willing to give up for it.”

With the terrifying prospect of living forever without the man he loves weighing heavily on his soul, Andrew seeks out a different path, one which could lead him into the hands of the demonic creatures which now hide in the shadows around him, or lead him into the arms of his soulmate. The risks are great. Andrew’s very soul is in danger. But what good is a soul without its mate? Falling in love was easy. Falling for love would be the hard part.

Oh gosh. What can I say about Andrew and Josh's story? Sigh. I started crying at the beginning when Andrew died... yes, I can tell you this without it being a spoiler as it made clear he is an angel. Then again, I cried when Andrew couldn't save Simon... again, yes I can say that as that brings us t how he meets Josh, Simon's partner.  Now comes stuff I cannot tell you and several twists that keep you on the edge of your seat, another sad part, yet sort of happy too. Then more twists and decisions for Andrew. The romance is beautiful, the story angsty but beautiful and the ending glorious. Then a little something that left me wanting Sages story lol.

I loved Dan Calley's narration. His voice is a dream to listen to and he tells the story so well and you never feel like you’re just being read to. He does the excitement and sex scenes very well and I highly recommend you get the audio as it just adds more to the already amazing book.

Born and bred in the the vibrant city of Leeds in the North of the UK. I’ve always loved reading, and one of my fondest memories from childhood was the weekly visits to the library with my beloved dad. It always seemed such a magical place to escape into through the books I read on a weekly basis. I’d not really thought about writing in my adult life until I was introduced to the world of Fanfiction and after reading so many I found myself making friends through this new media. My friend, Lori, told me to have a go at writing one, and I did. That work took on a life of its own and opened my eyes to the possibilities. This allowed me to get used to plotting a story and while making the characters my own. I also started to beta/pre read for others and discovered, that much to my surprise, they valued my opinion and input. Making the move to write M/M or slash as it’s known, took me a little longer. After becoming good friends with a wonderful lady from Illinois who told me (repeatedly), “You should write slash, I think you’d be good at it.” I shied away from the idea for so long, but the seed was firmly sown in my mind and soon took root and a life of its own. I decided to write a short piece as a surprise gift for Angela’s birthday that year. Emailing it to her, given the time difference between the UK and US this meant I was desperately waiting for her to see in and I think I heard her delighted scream. Thanks to this, and working on writing group competition, I soon found that I preferred writing M/M to M/F. In 2013 fate intervened and I lost my job. Through my new one, I met Nicole Colville, and the rest, as they say, is history. This marked the start of a beautiful friendship. She encouraged me to make the switch to writing original fiction, and I signed up to Nano Wri Mo 2013, but due to changing jobs I couldn’t commit the time needed. In 2014 I signed up again, and smashed the 50K word goal in 30 days, with a story I love and am proud of. I’ve been beta/pre reading for Nicole over 17 books now (including the 10 shorts in Knights) and the confidence she inspires in me has been invaluable in my joining this anthology and publishing my first work.

The Way of Us is book four and the last of this series. You do need to read them all in order as each takes up where the other left off. The stories follow Kane an undercover ATF agent working in LAPD to help catch the son of his father’s killer and Luca a young gay guy that manages a high-end jewelry store. Oh, did I mention that Kane is straight? Or was until he meets Luca in book one. (You will have to go back and read how they met and what transpires up until now).

In The way of Us Luca has received a call his mom is sick and has to go to Florida to help with his sister that has some mental issues.

This book seems to be going so differently than the last two then boom… twists and turns galore.

I loved how different this book was but also how it does tie up all the loose ends. I loved watching Luca and Kane’s relationship unfold and deepen.

If you like FBI Agents, action, established couples, gay for you and an all-over good suspense this is for you!

Heroan is a great dystopian read. Not a genre I read a lot but I love western and the word gunslinger got my attention. Finding out the gunslinger was a female lead character sold me. The book is well written, easy to follow when the viewpoint changes . There are several twists, lots of action, lots of chemistry, even though there is no on page sex, the romance sizzles. Kinley the wolf is an awesome companion and a main character in her own right.

I Loved this story and book two can't get here soon enough!

Cameron’s head throbbed as she tried to get a sense of her surroundings. It was pitch black, thanks to the strip of cloth covering her eyes. Despite the rising noise from a small crowd, searing its way into the base of her pounding skull like a hot poker, she didn’t move a muscle. “What should we do with her?” an old man asked. His voice was a strange mix of brittle and croak. “Find out how much she knows.” The smooth male response was equal parts condescending and amused. “You can play with her, a little, but don’t kill her.” Cameron’s whole body broke out in gooseflesh at the sound. Declan, she thought. She’d heard his voice only once, when she was a child. It was little more than a distant rumble at the time, scattered across the open yard by a freezing, swirling breeze, but she was sure it was him. The old man mumbled something under his breath. “Merle, if she dies in your care, I’ll come back here and pull you apart piece by tiny little piece. Until there’s nothing left of you but bloody stumps and wails of agony. Got it?” “Yes. Yes, sir. I’m sorry,” Merle quailed. “Good. I have plans for this little lady,” Declan taunted as cold fingertips brushed across Cameron’s cheeks.
Casey lives in Western Colorado with her husband and their pack of rowdy rescue dogs. She enjoys reading a little bit of everything, but she has a fondness for immersive and emotionally engaging science fiction, dystopian, post-apoc, speculative fiction, and romance.
When she's not writing or working at her day job in a machine shop, you can usually find her out walking with one of her dogs, hiking with her other half, or doing just about anything that gives her a reason to ignore her phone.
