Got Your Six: an OPS Protector Romance Book 6 by Giulia Lagomarsino Book tour with Cat's Review @EJBookPromos @crzybookladyluv @TTCBooksandmore

Title: Got Your Six
Series: Owens Protective Services Book 6
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Alpha/Protector Romance
Release Date: January 30, 2023

Action, Adventure, and a good woman—that’s all I crave.
A chance to prove my love for a woman by risking my life for her.
Everyone else gets to do it, so why not me?
Except, I never imagined she would vanish without a trace.
I thought she had been taken by a gang or a serial killer.
It turns out, she’s what they call a runner.
Yeah, you heard me right. She runs when people get too close to her.
And not because she has emotional baggage or something.
She doesn’t like people, which I don’t get.
I’m great people!
That night playing Battleship will go down in the books as one of the best nights of my life.
But apparently, I scared her off when I said I was coming back for her.
And then she landed herself in a Russian prison.
And of course, now she needs me to come to the rescue.
Yeah, I’ll do it. She’s my girl. Why wouldn’t I?
I just hoped she’d never see the one weapon I always deploy.
Tactical Vomit.

Cat gives this book 5 Meows with a 3 Purr heat index...

This is book 6 in the OPS series and needs to be read in order. This is Scotty Dog’s story.

Scotty and Quinn meet one night when his team is on layover from California and picking up 3 other guys. Scotty decides Quinn is the one and wants to romance her and not a one off.

Quinn has a habit of running from anything that makes her uncomfortable because she hates saying no, so when Scotty announces he will be back she runs. Winds up in Alaska and captured by Russians.

All the characters are so good, the camaraderie great but the way they argue and fight makes it perfect. The story may be over the top on the hilarious side but I loved it.

It’s actually what I expect from this author, suspense but lots of comedy tossed in. There’s also plenty of heat as well.

I love this series and you like military men, protective services, rom-com, suspense with some heat you will too!

★★★★★ BooksnNooks4Me - “Remarkable! Hilarious! Got Your Six is the sixth book in Owens Protective Services (OPS). I absolutely love this series!”
★★★★★ Sexy Sirens Book Blog - “Oh My Gosh, I just love Ms. Giulia’s books. As a rule they are funny, entertaining, suspenseful and romantic storylines all rolled up into one.”

“Hey,” I nodded as I approached. “I was wondering if I could get you a hotel for the night.”

He looked past me to Quinn. “Why?”

“Well… I’m sort of on a date, and it’s an important one. Only one chance to seal the deal, if you know what I mean.”

“I’m a guy. Of course I know what you mean.”

I held out my hands. “So…how about it? I can get you a really nice suite at the Holiday Inn.”

He huffed out a laugh. “No thanks. I’ll stay in my room.”

He tried to walk past me, but I stepped in his way. “Yeah, that’s not going to work for me. See, I’m trying to build a fire with her.”

“A what?” he asked, looking at me funny.

“A fire. See, I’ve got the safe spot. If you leave, the area is clear of debris. The ground is moist, but not wet enough to make it difficult to start the fire.”

“What?”

“And I have the tinder bed all ready. I’m getting ready to add the kindling, but if you show up, I’ll never get to pull out the flint and create that spark.”

“Shouldn’t you already have a spark?”

I rolled my eyes. This guy just wasn’t getting it. “Man, this isn’t a race. I’m not looking to throw some lighter fluid on it and toss in a match. I want to nurture the flame and watch it grow. I want a fucking forest fire.”

“You know, that’s really not safe. Forest fires kill people and have astronomical geological effects.”

I squeezed my eyes shut, pressing my fist to my mouth so I didn’t explode. “It’s a metaphor. I’m not actually building a fire!”

“Oh, sorry. I got lost in the whole build-up of it.”

“So, you get what I’m saying?”

“I think so. Although, I’m not sure you needed the whole fire thing. It was a little weird, to be honest.”

“You’re a little weird. You live with this insanely hot woman and you haven’t made a move.”

“I thought it would ruin the working relationship.”

“Yeah, that’s a tough move. Not many can do it,” I agreed. “There’s a lot of planning that goes into something like that.”

“Exactly. Plus, she’s really not the type to go back for seconds.”

“Which is why you need to build a fire, my friend.”

He grinned at me and held out his hand. “Alright, I’ll stay somewhere else for the night. Good luck with the tinder.”

He turned to leave, but I grabbed him by the sleeve. “Hey, do you have any games at the apartment?”

He jerked his arm out of my grasp and shot me a disgusted look. “You want to borrow sex toys?”

“No, you idiot. Games. Battleship, Twister…”

“Oh…for sex?”

“No, just to play!” I nearly shouted. “We’re building a fire here, remember?”

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Two Truths and a Lyle is a cute, low-angst M/M romance with two oblivious best friends who are perfect for one another, a town full of quirky residents who get in everyone’s business, and a sweet sexual awakening.

This novella was previously published as part of a promotion, but some new content has been added.

Excerpt

“Okay, the game is Two Truths and a Lie,” Kevin announced. “Who’s first?”

Calista and Darren put their heads together, conferring quietly. Then Darren straightened, gesturing to Calista. “Ladies first.”

“I’ve never been accused of being a lady before,” Calista said to a round of laughter. She was gorgeous, with curly hair that was a little wild and curves that attracted her a steady number of boyfriends. But she was also one of the crudest people I’d met, always down for a dirty joke or reckless adventure. “But sure, I’ll go first. Okay…two truths and a lie. Hmm. Oh, I’ve got it! Here goes: I’m a Scorpio. I once wrecked my dad’s car. And my two best friends are in love with each other.”

“You’re not a Scorpio,” Tru said.

“Wait, aren’t all the truths supposed to be about yourself?” I asked.

At the same time, Evan said, “I thought I was your best friend. I’m not in love with anyone!”

And that’s when it hit me.

She was talking about me and Tru.

“Drink up, Calista!” Kevin called. “They busted you on the lie. You’re not a Scorpio.”

I noticed no one was suggesting she told more than one lie. Or calling her on the fact she’d told a supposed “truth” that wasn’t her own.

“I’ll go next,” Darren announced gleefully.

My gut clenched. Somehow, I knew what was coming. I glanced around the group playing the game, all ranging in age from about eighteen to twenty-two, all long-time acquaintances or friends. Was this some type of organized effort? Evan hadn’t seemed to know it was going down. So maybe it was just Calista and Darren. But that was still too much.

“Maybe we should head out,” I said to Tru.

“Why? We haven’t even played yet.”

Before I could answer, Darren was announcing his truths and a lie. “I’m a Scorpio. I’m a virgin. And my roommate and his best friend totally need to bone because they are in luuuurrrve.”

There were shouts of laughter, and Calista smirked. “I know you’re not a virgin.”

Hold up now. Calista and Darren? Surely not. At the ooohs and ahhs they started to get, Calista flipped off the room. “Dude, he’s a slut. I don’t need to screw him to know.”

I dragged a hand down my face.

“Wait, hold on,” Tru said. “Ly is your roommate.”

Darren smirked. “Yep.”

“And…his best friend is…?”

Darren raised his brows. “Don’t you already know the answer to that?”

Tru frowned, glancing between me and Darren. “I thought I did. Now, I’m just confused.”

“Join the club,” I muttered, though I suspected we were confused about different things. My stomach was squirming with discomfort as half the eyes in the room fixed on Tru and me. Fucking Darren. I knew he was behind this. I didn’t know why, but I’d find out.

Part of me wanted to jump up and tell him to knock it off. The other half wanted to sink into the sofa and disappear rather than draw more attention to myself.

“Ah, I think I get this game now,” Evan said. “Can I go next?”

Sweet Evan. Sweet, naïve Evan. I sighed with relief. Finally, the game would move on, and everyone would forget Darren and Calista’s entirely deluded suggestions that Tru and I were anything but good friends.

Hell, I wasn’t even gay. Or bi. So how could I be in love with my male best friend? I barely dated women, much less men. I was too busy working my ass off, trying to prove myself at the construction company Truman’s dad had built from the ground up while my dad did his best to drink himself into an early grave.

I’d always thought Truman would be right there by my side on the crew, making the back-breaking labor more fun. He had a way of turning everything in life into a big laugh. I hadn’t even realized how much he made me smile until he was gone and every day was just one dreary slog after another.

“Two truths and a lie,” Evan said. “Okay. I’m creating my own app.”

That was undoubtedly true. Evan was a classic tech geek, and at eighteen, he already did freelance work for a handful of companies. He didn’t need a degree, evidently, because he’d taught himself everything he needed to know in his spare time.

Evan continued, “I’m dating a girl.”

There was an immediate snort of laughter. Evan had been out as a gay boy for years.

“And…” He glanced guiltily in my direction. Oh no. Not him too. “Lyle and Truman are totally couples goals. If they could only see it for themselves.”

“Et tu, Evan,” I said.

Beside me, Truman gasped. “Evan, you’re dating a girl?”

Evan looked floored. “What? No?”

“The game is two truths and a lie,” Tru said. “If you’re not dating a girl, you told two lies.”

Evan shook his head. “Sorry, guys. But I’m still gay.”

“Well, I’m not,” I said shortly, standing and dragging Truman up by the arm. “I think it’s time to call it a night.”

Valerius Cafarelli
In my world, we live and die for our family. We brand our skin with symbols of loyalty and rank that bind us together. It’s time to step from behind the scenes and claim my birthright, leader of the Cafarelli family. But the mafia is nothing if not set in tradition. Marriage is the only way to claim what’s rightfully mine.
When the angel I’ve protected from a distance suddenly needs me as much as I need her, I make an offer she can’t refuse.

She is a candle in the night.
She is a prayer to the gods.
She is the knife that brings me to my knees.

Adaliya Solarin
I took an oath to save lives, trying to redeem myself from a bloody night where I played judge, jury, and executioner. I worked hard to erase all traces of the night I claimed revenge, but my mind can’t forget the man who ensured I’d never be put away for my crime.

Now I need someone to help me save my father from himself. When I’m left desperate and defeated, the man who saved me once offers one last chance at survival. What can I do but make a deal with the devil?

He is the bump in the night.
He is my darkest temptations come to life.
He is my salvation.

Cusp of Darkness is book one of the Cusp series but can be read as a standalone. It has a guaranteed HEA, swoon-worthy anti-hero, and badass heroine. Warnings: abuse, graphic violence, torture, graphic sex

Valarius is on a job when he hears shots. Going in expecting to see another young woman murdered by a scum, he was shocked to find a beautiful woman, also in shock but over the dead man’s body. He was immediately smitten which never happens and vows to protect her.
Then 5 years later they meet again.. she is about to marry out of convenience, he out of necessity but he suggests a better pact… they marry each other.

Adaliya is about to make the worst mistake of her life. She has to marry Noah to help her father, but realizes Noah is abusive and can’t put herself in that position, and that her father is into something shady and not concerned about her. When the stranger from 5 years ago shows back up and offers her a solution by marrying him, she accepts the lesser of two evils. Or is it?

This is a series but first book. It is a very dark romance, but most mafia/ crime family books are. It’s very well written, gripping, suspenseful, page turning and has several twists with a satisfying ending. Bring on Salvatore and Naya!

If you like Mafia books, betrayal, fair marriage, enemies to lovers, and lots of hot sex this is for you!
