We were back at it, filming another screenplay for Zoe—don’t even get me started.
My wife was upset that I spoiled her favorite “cafe latte” by telling her how it was really made, my pilot lost another plane, and my kid is keeping us up all night.
On top of all that, Fox went off on another adventure to discover the lost secrets of FNG.
Insert eye roll here.
I thought that would be the end of it.
Then the alarms went off. Chaos ensued and we went into attack mode.
They may have breached our walls, but they would never get to our inner sanctum.
Then it all got Blowed Up.
It was bound to be a bad week. I just never thought it would end like this.

The title is Blowed Up by Guilia Lagomarsino and it is book 14 in the OPS series. You do have to read in order, though each book has a main plot that gets closure, there is a wide ongoing plot for the series.
The cover is hot though not my favorite of this series of covers. Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because... everything I thought I knew a lie? Smoke and mirrors?
I've been reading the series since book 1 and am always eager for each new installment.
Who’s my favorite main character? Fox. Who doesn't love a pyshco with a heart? And he's funny.
Was there another character I loved and why? I honestly love all these characters.
The story is a Romantic Suspense, with humor.
Were there significant plot twists and turns?This entire story was a mega roller coaster. You get views from multiple characters and the book isn't about just one couple.
There is a plot introduced with a bad guys' point of view. We find out there's going to be an attempted kidnapping of one of the women and hit on one of the men. A sniper...so I thought I knew who then twist another female called Reed Security and Sinner (Former OPS) and was on the run for her life.
More things happen, including we get some info on Jack in prison. Which I thought this was his book, maybe the next one. So who is the hit on? Was one of the women hurt? Well, you will have to read the book and find out. It's worth it.
I liked the ending. It was an HFN and a cliffhanger. This story arc was closed, but more tidbits to follow on the main plot. But, I myself, like continuing series and love a good cliffhanger. It just makes me want the next book that much more. Bring it on!
If you like protector romance, lots of twists, and humor you will love this.

“Alright, let’s get started!” Dash shouted over the bullhorn.
I rolled my eyes, wondering why he was taking over my movie. Seriously, this was ridiculous. All the men thought they could just come into my life and take over, especially where the films were concerned. I was pretty sure they took this more seriously than I did.
Eli came walking over to me, holding the script in his hand. “Zoe, I’m not sure how I’m supposed to play this.”
“What do you mean?”
He turned it to face me, pointing at the first line. “What is my character’s thought process here?”
I looked over the line and then up at him questioningly. “You walk into the bar and order a beer.”
“Right, but am I sad? Lonely? Should I play it cool and relaxed?”
“You’re just there to get a beer. Nothing has even happened yet. This is where you meet the girl for the first time.”
He nodded, his brows pinched. “Right, but did I have a hard day at work?”
“It was just a normal day.”
He snorted. “On the police force? I doubt there’s a normal day.”
“This was a normal day,” I said, not sure what else to tell him.
Again, he nodded. “Cuz I was thinking, what if something really drastic happened? Like, say my partner just committed suicide and I’m here to drink away my cares.”
“But your partner appears in this scene later on.”
“Right.” He frowned hard. “So, what if it was my boss?”
What was it with these guys? Why did someone always have to be killed? “Eli, is there some reason you want to deal with suicide?”
“No, I just think it would really add to the feel of the movie. You know, bring out the emotions.”
“It’s a comedy,” I said bluntly.
He rolled his eyes. “Life isn’t always a comedy.”
“No, but this script is,” I said slowly.
He sighed dramatically. “I guess it could work.”
I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." The title is Get Frosted by Amy Aislin it is book 3 of 9 in the multi author Christmas Falls series. You don’t have to read in order as each book is just set in Christmas Falls.
The cover is cute, the title cuter, then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because, pro hockey rivals, brothers' best friend and Christmas decorations. Sounds good to me.
Who’s my favorite main character? Both equally. I loved Rudy with his itch to move on but wanting Mik. And I adored Mik's sense of humor.
Was there another character I loved and why? Grandma Gilmore. I want to be her when I turn 80 lol.
The story is a romantic comedy and a cute holiday story.
Were there significant plot twists and turns? The story is more character driven than plot based but there are twists.
I loved the ending. It was a good ole feel good HEA.

“You certainly know how to make a splash,” said a dry voice at his elbow, shaking him out of his irritation.
And setting into motion a new kind of annoyance that fizzled in Mik’s blood. “No one asked you,” he said to his brother’s best friend.
Rudy Snow raised one dark eyebrow, because of course he could do that. When Mik tried, he ended up with both eyebrows at his hairline.
“It’s certainly . . .” Rudy cast his gaze around, taking everything in. “Unique.”
“It’s majestic.”
“It looks like the Island of Misfit Toys. All you’re missing is a Charlie-in-the-Box.”
Crossing his arms over his chest, Mik clenched his teeth. “You’re not allowed to judge. You don’t even have a wreath on your front door.”
Rudy made a sound in the back of his throat, a rumbly laugh that made the back of Mik’s neck itch. “Do you often happen to find yourself outside my house, Miki?”
Mik’s stupid feelings went all gooey at the nickname. Or maybe that was just hunger. “It’s on my way to work.”
“Sure. If you take the long way.”
God. Why did he have to be so annoying?
And hot.
And annoyingly hot. All dark-haired and dark-eyed and scruffy-jawed, with a natural tan to his skin that perpetually made him look like he’d just come from the beach. He stood a couple of inches taller than Mik’s five feet eleven. At a year older than Mik’s thirty-one, Rudy was as fit now as he’d been when he’d played in the NHL, even two and a half years post-retirement.
Mik had considered himself lucky to be drafted to his brother’s team’s rival. With Mik playing for Washington and Josh playing for Pittsburgh, it had given Mik the chance to step out of his brother’s shadow and assert himself as his own person. And playing up the rivalry between their teams had been all sorts of fun at family get-togethers.
The problem Mik hadn’t anticipated had been twofold.
First, because Josh’s rookie year had been the gold fucking star of rookie years, Mik had been instantly compared to him when he’d been drafted a year later, forevermore casting him in the role of Josh Gilmore’s little brother.
Second, there was Pittsburgh defenseman Rudy Snow. And Pittsburgh defenseman Rudy Snow wasn’t shy about checking his teammate’s little brother into the boards during Mik’s first Washington versus Pittsburgh game.
“It’s no secret in the league that your brother and his teammate Rudy Snow are good friends,” a reporter had said to Mik during the post-game interview after that game. “What do you have to say to your brother’s best friend after that check in the second period?”
Um, nothing?
He’d barely known Rudy. Plus, checking was what hockey players did.
While both those things were true, that hadn’t been what the reporter wanted to hear. So Mik had smirked and said, “That he better watch out. He won’t get the jump on me again. In fact, next time, I’m going to swipe the puck out from under him and score. Just wait and see.”
Mik had later learned that Rudy had responded to that with a pithy, “He can try.”
And that was it. Instant rivalry.

The title is Truth and Consequences by BJ Harvey and it is book 2 in the Truth series. You do have to read in order as it picks up from last book and if cliffhangers not your thing probably should move on. I read the blurb and it really got my interest because, redemption but honestly, I've been waiting for this story since I read the previous book.
Who’s my favorite main character? Aiden. I like a character that is flawed and especially a good redemption story.
Was there another character I loved and why? I liked Marley too she's a strong female lead.
Were there significant plot twists and turns? The entire story is one big twist with a shocking ending. I'm still not recovered.
The story is a romantic suspense, and it is a cliffhanger. But, I myself, like continuing series and love a good cliffhanger; it just makes me want the next book. Bring it on!
If you like romantic suspense, mystery, intrigue and a second chance, you will like this.
