Tammy's Review of Love At First Swipe by Andrew Grey @andrewgreybooks @tammystwocents X- @AndrewGreyBooks @TTCBooksandmore

Darby Wright has fought for his independence ever since he lost his sight as a child. But even now that he has his own home and a good job, his overprotective mother doesn’t believe he can handle himself. Darby’s determined to prove her wrong, but there are some things—like finding his guide dog’s potty accident—where an extra set of eyes would come in handy.

Enter See For Me, an app that connects blind clients with sighted volunteers. See For Me is designed for just this sort of emergency, and it’s through this app that Darby meets Reynaldo. Lust at first voice turns to more when Darby and Reynaldo run into each other at a local sandwich shop, where Renaldo seems as nice in person as he was in app.

With Reynaldo, Darby can feel his world expanding. Reynaldo doesn’t just support him but understands him and sees Darby as more than his disability. But will being with Reynaldo mean giving up Darby’s hard-fought independence, or will it mean gaining something more than he ever dreamed?

Darby and Reynoldo click instantly when Darby reaches out for assistance via an online app for the blind that ensures they can get the help they need, while maintaining their independence. Fantasy becomes reality when Darby hears that familiar tone at his favorite restaurant a few weeks later. It doesn't take long for the initial spark to grow into a comfortable fire, offering these two men an escape from the loneliness they've grown accustomed to.

Such a fun, short read. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these two and watching their relationship blossom and grow. I would love to see more with them and hope they continue to make appearances in forthcoming books. Again, if you're looking for something to pass a couple of hours that will leave a smile on your face and a little warmth in your heart, this story is definitely for you.

Tammy's Review of Throuple Next Door by Andrew Grey @andrewgreybooks @tammystwocents X- @AndrewGreyBooks @TTCBooksandmore

Austin knew change was inevitable, but he hadn’t counted on just how difficult it was going to be… for all of them. He, Weaver, and Randy have been together for two amazingly hot years, and then with a single decision, everything is different. When Randy receives an offer on his gyms in Brooklyn, he jumps at it and switches careers with a teaching job in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Weaver is also interested in making a change after nearly burning himself out as a lawyer. With both of his passionate partners needing something new and Austin’s modeling career cooling as he ages, the three of them decide to relocate from New York to Carlisle. Randy settles into his new position, and Weaver easily lands on his feet, but Austin wonders how he is going to fit into their new world.

Austin knows he has the support of the men he loves, and who love him, but he needs to pull his weight. With very few prospects, what could small-town life hold for him? Randy and Weaver have their special way to make him forget, but it will take more than love and hot sex for the throuple next door to start the next chapter in their lives.

This is a short, sweet and sexy threesome story. This is truly one of my favorite tropes, especially when it's believable and this story was very realistic and plausible. Each man brings something different and vital to the relationship. And though there are a few speed bumps along the way as these three men navigate a new chapter in their lives, there's no angst or melodrama, which was quite refreshing. Well, other than a slightly meddling momma, but she comes around in the end. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of the Author, the trope or just looking something delicious to pass a couple hours while your sit in your corner chair with a glass of wine.

Authors: T.L. Smith and Kia Carrington-Russell
Genre/Tropes: Dark Mafia Romance
Release Date: December 28, 2024

We met because of a job.

We played because he made a bet.

We carried on because we couldn’t stop.

It’s supposed to only be a fling, but it’s started a fire.

One that we’re both in denial about.

Cat gives this book 5 meows with a 5 purr heat index...

This is book 5 in a series and yes you can read alone since I did and followed fine but, man oh man, I'm going back to get the rest!

This is Will's story and I'm sure he's been in at least a couple of the other books.

I love a good dark romance and cocky anti-heroes and this checked all my boxes.

Will is cocky, a butthole, sassy, but somehow likeable all at once.

I thought Alina a perfect match as she shared some of the same traits. I loved the push and pull, all the characters, the drama, and the twists.

I definitely intend to go back and read the rest of this series. I highly recommend.

USA Today Best Selling Author T.L. Smith loves to write her characters with flaws so beautiful and dark you can’t turn away. Her books have been translated into several languages. If you don’t catch up with her in her home state of Queensland, Australia you can usually find her travelling the world, either sitting on a beach in Bali or exploring Alcatraz in San Francisco or walking the streets of New York.

Australian Author, Kia Carrington-Russell is known for her recognizable style of kick a$$ heroines, fast-paced action, enemies to lovers and romance that dances from light to dark in multiple genres including Fantasy, Dark and Contemporary Romance.

Obsessed with all things coffee, food and travel, Kia is always seeking out her next adventure internationally. Now back in her home country of Australia, she takes her Cavoodle, Sia along morning walks on beautiful coastline beaches, building worlds in the sea breezes and contemplating which deliciously haunting story to write next.

Cat gives this Audiobook 4.5 Meows overall...

This is a multi world crossover so though it's OK on its own I think it would be better if you've read the series' that this covers.

It is a fun Christmas/winter story filled with lots of established couples. The story is interesting, witty and fun.

The narration is spot on. They are new to me narrators and I'll be looking for more especially from Charlie David. His voice is pleasant, the pacing good and lots of emotion in it.

Cat's Review of Here Comes Santa Paws (Christmas Falls Season 2) by Lee Blair @leeblairbooks @neonrainbowarcreviews @tammystwocents X- @TTCBooksandmore

When a sunshiny cinnamon stick with paws-itively purrfect holiday plans meets a grumpy Grinch neighbor with a smokin’ hot... chimney, bells aren’t the only thing jingling.

I spend all year gearing up for the Christmas Falls festival season. Those five weeks are showtime for the animal shelter, and I’ve got it down to a science to help all my four-legged friends find their furever homes.

My well-oiled machine goes off track when I discover a massive leak at the shelter. And Grandpa, my only family, is recovering from a hip replacement, and I can’t stop worrying about our latest shelter dog. To put a star on the top of my anxiety tree, Roman, my Scrooge neighbor, is giving me a hard time about the festive decor on my half of our duplex. It’s not my fault I’ve got more Christmas spirit in my pinky than he does in his entire broad-shouldered body.

But something about Roman tells me he could love Christmas and this town as much as I do if he just gave them a chance. I don’t care if I’ve got a thousand other priorities on my list, I’m making it my holiday mission to get him to let down his guard and show me the wonderful and caring man behind the terse talk and award-winning RBF. It’s like opening a present on Christmas morning and seeing exactly what you wanted from Santa.

It’s all tinsel and sugar cookies until my heart decides it wants Roman under the tree. But his New Year’s resolution is to leave town, and I can’t let myself fall for a man who doesn’t plan to stick around.

Christmas Falls is my forever home. How do I convince him it could be his?

Christmas Falls: Season 2 revisits a small town that thrives on enough holiday charm to rival any Hallmark movie. It's a multi-author M/M romance series.

Cat gives this book 5 meows with a 3 purr heat index...

This is part of the 10 author series set in Christmas Falls. They can be read alone but some characters cross over. So far all I've read been great.

I just love al these stories.

This is Elias' story. He is director of the animal shelter and loves everything Christmas.  He decorated his half of the duplex before Thanksgiving and is eager for all the celebrations but when the pipes bust at the shelter he has to up his game and start his things early to find foster families for the pets. And deal with his grandpa that is recuperating from hip replacement and a grinchy neighbor.

This story is sweet, charming, funny, heartwarming with a little heat and lots of feels. Plus, all the cute animals and meddling elders don't hurt any.

Highly recommended.

Once Upon A Goth Dog Solstice by R.L. Merrill Blog tour with Cat's Review, Author Guest post & #giveaway @rlmerrillauthor @tammystwocents X- @TTCBooksandmore

R.L. Merrill has a new MM romance out (gay, bisexual/genderqueer), part of the multi-author Once Upon A Holiday series: Once Upon A Goth Dog Solstice. And there's a giveaway!

Once Upon A Goth Dog Solstice - R.L. Merrill

From the author of the award-winning novel You Can Do Magic: Carnival of Mysteries and Publishers Weekly's BookLife quarterfinalist Earthquake Ethan comes a heartwarming holiday tale of found family and sacrifice. Two wildly opposite veterans connect over a shared love of art, rescue dogs, and a very special foster child.

Doug Cross spent the first half of his life attempting to appease his career-military father. After a stint in the Air Force and a successful career in cybersecurity, he’s traveled the world in search of fulfillment. He believes he’s found it in the San Francisco Bay Area with a room on an urban farm, a new spot in a goth punk band, and the support of his extended family. He’s always been a helper by nature, so when he learns that his housemate’s dog rescue is in trouble, he creates goth-influenced dog accessories to sell at the Treasure Island Arts and Crafts Fair in hopes of raising much-needed funds for the pups. He also lends a helping hand to his neighbor at the fair, and the two have a potential meet-cute…that quickly fizzles, leaving Doug wondering why his charming personality failed to make a new friend.

Luther Sorenson is a disabled Marine veteran who is struggling to keep his family afloat—and himself literally on his feet. His sister convinces him to sell his wood paintings at the fair as a way to supplement his income. He’s a single foster dad to eight-year-old Mila and is desperate to give her everything she deserves. His body doesn’t always cooperate, however, and having to ask for help from the goth guy next door at the art market could have potentially been humiliating. But Doug makes it easy, and Luther can’t stop thinking about him in between markets. Doug seems like the kind of person Luther could add to his support network. Not to mention, his superb makeup skills and the way he rocks a utilikilt have Luther smitten in no time.

A brunch “business meeting” turns into adult summer camp, and Doug and Luther embark on a tentative courtship while navigating the challenges of parenthood and owning a small business. But as the seasons change, the two men find in each other what they’ve always desired: love, family, and acceptance. On the night of the winter solstice, will they choose to combine forces and step into the unknown together?

Once Upon A Goth Dog Solstice is a part of the multi-author series Once Upon a Holiday Story. Each book can be read as a standalone and in any order. What links these books together is The Hook’s Book Nook Traveling Library, a library on wheels owned by two old ladies in love.

I Really enjoyed this story. I liked Doug. He is outgoing, enjoying life, and he's his cousins on the rescue farm.

Luther was a wounded soldier. From Foster homes he and his sister from the home and his foster daughter do what they can. Luther and Doug both are artistic and meet at a craft fair.

This is a charming, sweet story of found family and getting through what life throws at you.
Opposites attract, grumpy/Sunny, ex-military men, cute kids and cute dogs and found family.

Once Upon a Yuletide Romance by R.J. Peterson (December 6th)

Once Upon a Goth Dog Solstice by R.L. Merrill (December 10th)

What an amazing way to spend the holiday season! I intend to read them all. Several years ago I started picking up queer holiday romances and my very first one hooked me. Brandon Witt’s Teddy Bears is a sweet and unique story about a lonely guy working reception at a bath house and the silver fox who finds him irresistible. Then I found Andi Van’s Krampus Hates Christmas, and I reread that damn book every year. So fun. Annabeth Albert’s Better Not Pout was super fun, and Kim Fielding’s Exit Through The Gift Shop, A Very Genre Christmas, and Get Lit are favorites as well.

Do you have favorite holiday reads? Any you reread? Message me on Facebook or Instagram @rlmerrillauthor or email at rlmerrillauthor at gmail! I’d love to hear your recs. Thanks again for joining me on this adventure and however you celebrate, I hope you and yours are safe and healthy this holiday season. Love and light to you and as Doug and Luther learn in Once Upon A Goth Dog Solstice, even in the darkness, the light will always come. Stay Tuned for More…

Cat's Review of Frost Impressions (Christmas Falls Season 2) by Kelly Fox @authorkellyfox @neonrainbowarcreviews @tammystwocents X- @TTCBooksandmore

Living in a town named Christmas Falls with a name like Gray Frost, you'd think I loved Christmas.

On the contrary, I'd rather get a root canal than participate in anything remotely festive. Yet here I am—running the regional airport for commuter airlines and rich guys who have nothing better to do than fly in for the season.

Just today, I picked a fight with a pilot—the wealthy and wickedly attractive Sunny Day. He's as irritatingly cheerful as his name would suggest, even when his plane breaks down. He's a little less bright when he realizes I have the only spare bed in town.

The only point in his favor is that he hates Christmas as much as I do. When I find out what stole his joy, though, I have to wonder if the town's charms can give him back the love he once had for the holiday.

Christmas Falls: Season 2 revisits a small town that thrives on enough holiday charm to rival any Hallmark movie. It's a multi-author M/M romance series.

Cat gives this book 5 meows with a 3 purr heat index ...

This is part of the Christmas Falls shared world. Each book stands alone just fine. There are characters that cross over and a sneaky Secret Santa but it doesn't hinder the enjoyment of each book.

This one is one of my favorites of this series.  All have been good but something about Gray and Sunny just did it for me. Plus, the 2 dogs were an added plus.

I love a good opposites attract and Grumpy/Sunshine and this nailed it. Plus, maybe Frost was just a bit loveable softy on the inside.

There is also hurt/comfort, and of course the small town romance going on.

I kinda hate seeing this series finishing for now. Hopefully next year!
