A forbidden student-teacher obsession.

A queer coming-of-age thriller.

A story that lingers like a bruise you can't stop touching.

Liam is just trying to finish high school and keep his secrets to himself. Mr. Hilton, his English teacher, is everything Liam shouldn't want—straight, married, and way off-limits—but possibly...interested. What starts as an innocent crush blurs into something more real, more intense, and more dangerous than either of them can control.

Because some lines should not be crossed. Some lessons can't be unlearned. And some desires come at a terrible price.

The Teacher Inside Me is an emotionally charged LGBTQ+ psychological thriller about longing, power, and the darkness within us all.

Originally racking up 2.6 million reads by a global audience on Wattpad before it was banned, this newly revised and completely uncensored edition invites you back into the shadows—rawer, deeper, and more haunting than ever.

This is the book they tried to bury—but The Teacher Inside Me is too disruptive to ever disappear.

Cat gives this book 5 Meows 4 purr heat index...

This is very dark with on page violence, dubious consent and murder. Taboo of Teacher 33 and student 18 so if any of this is triggers... pass.

I started this one evening and couldn't put it down! Was up all night reading. What a ride. More twists than a twizzler.

The suspense is epic, characters you bond with fast. I am still stunned two days later. What a thriller...I'm ready for book two.

Excerpt ...

I can’t believe he’s wearing that cologne again. Today of all days. A test day. A day when we get handed an exam with a series of questions about the Anton Chekhov play, The Seagull. A day when we have to scribble answers in the form of short essays to prove not only that we read the play from beginning to end but also that we thought about it deeply. First line: “Why do you always wear black?” Last line: “The fact is, he’s shot himself.” And everything in between.

I’m sitting in the front of the classroom, dead center, because we all were randomly assigned seats at the beginning of the school year and I guess I happened to be unlucky. Never before have I willingly chosen to be this far up front, an open target for questions posed, stripped of the privilege of blending in. But in this class, I don’t mind all that much because it means I get to be close to Mr. Hilton, closer than any other student.

I can smell him from here, and it’s making me swoon. I know it’s an old-fashioned word, “swoon,” but that’s the best way to describe how I’m feeling. How am I going to make it through this test? The scent—his scent—has managed to crawl far up my nose. And that may sound like a complaint. But it’s not.

I’ve always been sensitive to smells. And when the smell is wafting from a man I find extremely attractive, a man in his early thirties who seems simultaneously young and mature, a man whose rugged stubble covers a boyish face, a man whose wavy dark brown hair is short enough to be considered clean-cut but long enough for someone like his wife to run her fingers through, a man whose slim blue jeans and red dress shirt reveal the contours of his fit body, a man who doesn’t belong in a quiet suburb of Los Angeles teaching English but does belong in between the pages of a men’s fashion magazine . . . well . . .

The room is spinning a little, the way it does when I sometimes get up out of bed too fast. A comforting warmth fills my entire head and melts down onto my shoulders and the rest of my body. My heart: is it beating faster? My stomach: is it tightening up? Down further: what?

To put it simply: his cologne is driving me crazy. Like I want to leap out of my chair, pin him against the chalkboard, and ram my tongue down his mouth so deep and so long that I could tell exactly what he had for breakfast. Gross, I know. But these are my thoughts. And if I can’t be honest in my thoughts, then life would suck even more than it does now. I mean, I can’t be honest in my words and actions. And that’s one of the reasons I can’t wait to graduate. To get out of this city, Point Liberty, where I was born and where I don’t want to die. I want to move to a place where nobody knows me and I can finally be myself.

Anthony Auswat is the author of hot and dangerous gay thrillers, including The Teacher Inside Me and Hunter’s Hidden Camera—which collectively racked up more than three million reads on Wattpad before being banned. Cat gives this book 3 meows...

This is a pretty decent suspense story.
What I liked?
-The enemies to lovers'
-The suspense,
-The Robin hood type story
-Women thieves
-Grumpy sunshine.
-Fun characters.
What I didn't like?
Basically, it's pretty predictable and a basic romantic suspense.

Still a fun, interesting read. Be aware there is torture on page and talk of murder and abuse if you have triggers.

Excerpt...

She did not just do that. He actually had to squeeze his eyes shut for a second. When he reopened them, the view was the same. Creamy swells of the most perfect breasts peeked out of the laciest, sexiest black bra he’d ever laid eyes on.

His heart beat a little faster, and he prayed he didn’t get a colossal boner. Adding to his discomfort, that intoxicating scent of hers mingling with her natural body heat was like a warm vanilla-sugar bath. One he was on the brink of drowning in.

“What?” At her question, he snapped his eyes from her chest to her face. “I don’t have any pockets on this thing.”

“Yeah,” he muttered. “I see that.”

From the hallway, Kinsey snickered. Way too much amusement at his expense.

With the unsteady fingers of his good hand, he gently pressed the com kit’s power supply box against Gina’s taut abdomen. Heat from her bare skin seared his fingertips as he adjusted the box to fit into the hollow beneath her rib cage. “Hold that.” His voice sounded like someone had rubbed his vocal cords with sandpaper.

She held the box in place while he tugged her zipper up. With each tug, he had to reach inside her suit with his injured hand to keep threading the ear wire out the top of the material so it would reach to her ear. With every touch of his fingers on her soft skin, his body temp went up a degree. The same way it had yesterday when he’d gotten a good view of her shapely legs…those same legs that made him dream about dragging those incredible stockings off them with his teeth.

With a final tug, he yanked the zipper up to her neck and began hooking the earpiece around her ear. More sweat beaded on his forehead. If things got any hotter, his Glock would go off on its own. The woman didn’t seem to notice the torture she was inflicting on him. Or maybe she did, and that was part of her diabolical plan to exact revenge.

Cat's Audiobook Review of Something Wicked by Eden Winters Narrated by James Amherst @edenwinters @tammystwocents X- @edenwinters1 @TTCBooksandmore

A mysterious legacy. A magical journey. The worst guide in history!

Piers Adams never knew his parents or birthplace. All he wants from his mundane life is a better apartment and fewer working hours serving drinks at a club in Asheville, North Carolina. Sure, weirdness happens around him occasionally. Coincidences, right? He can’t possibly wish things into existence. After all, he’s only human. Maybe.

It’s hard living down to a nickname like Wicked, but Prince Wycke Bertillian of the magical realm tries. He enjoys his lack of responsibilities until he’s coerced into a clandestine mission: find an evil sorceress’s hidden son in the human realm. A chance encounter awakens magical potential beyond what either realm has seen before.

Barely managing his own life doesn’t qualify Wycke to guide a novice sorcerer with infinite magic and zero self-preservation skills. Unfortunately, it’s Wycke or nothing standing between Piers and those who’d take Piers’ magic for themselves—magic powerful enough to rule two realms.

Piers and Wycke had better get their act together. Their lives and the fate of the human and magical worlds rests in their highly incompetent hands.

Cat gives this Audiobook 5 meows overall...

I absolutely loved Wicked when I read the book. He's one of those characters you just adore. So fun, charming, but has a selfish streak until it comes to those he loves.
The way Eden writes you can just see his grins and smiles.
Then there is Pearce also adorable but more down to earth. Two opposites.
I love the way they just fit.
Now getting the audio was my chance to reread.
I'll admit I loved the narration even more. Each voice was brought to life, the action strong and then there is Chinn the familiar... his voice was absolutely perfect.

You will know Eden Winters by her distinctive white plumage and exuberant cry of “Hey, y’all!” in a Southern US drawl so thick it renders even the simplest of words unrecognizable. Watch out, she hugs!

Driven by insatiable curiosity, she possibly holds the world’s record for curriculum changes to the point that she’s never quite earned a degree but is a force to be reckoned with at Trivial Pursuit.

She’s trudged down hallways with police detectives, learned to disarm knife-wielding bad guys, and witnessed the correct way to blow doors off buildings. Her e-mail contains various snippets of forensic wisdom, such as “What would a dead body left in a Mexican drug tunnel look like after six months?” In the process of her adventures, she has written twenty-eight gay romance novels, won several Rainbow Awards, was a Lambda Awards Finalist, and lives in terror of authorities showing up at her door to question her Internet searches.

When not putting characters in dangerous situations, she’s a mild-mannered businesswoman, mother, grandmother, vegetarian, and PFLAG activist.

Her natural habitats are airports, coffee shops, and the backs of motorcycles.

Cat's Review of Body Check (An M/M hockey romance, Scoring Chances book 2) by Brigham Vaughn @brighamvaughn @neonrainbow @tammystwocents X- @AuthorBVaughn @TTCBooksandmore

The last thing Gavin Racine needs is more heartbreak …

Following an ugly public divorce, all Gavin wants is a little stress relief in the bedroom and to put together a winning roster. Unfortunately, his busy and chaotic schedule as the Boston Harrier’s general manager and president of hockey operations means he cancels more hookups than not.

When Gavin reluctantly hires Dakota Crane as the team’s yoga and Pilates instructor, their first few meetings leave them annoyed … and intrigued.

With a struggling team to manage, a complicated relationship with his twin brother, and a secret from his past threatening to upend the success he’s fought so hard for, Gavin absolutely shouldn’t start something with his employee.

Personalities clash, sparks fly, and the chemistry is undeniable. But neither of them are looking for love.

Dakota’s been burned before and the last thing he wants is another messy relationship. Especially with his new boss.

Falling in love is nowhere on his agenda and nothing is worth putting his fresh start in Boston at risk.

But what if learning to work together is exactly what Gavin, Dakota, and the team needs?

TRIGGER/CONTENT WARNING:

Body Check contains scenes with main and supporting characters dealing with financial struggles, a potentially threatening heart condition, discussions about past recreational drug use, prison, manipulative exes, and initially unsupportive parents to a trans person (offpage).

Cat gives this book 6 Meows with a 4 purr heat index...

This is book 2 in the series but can be read alone though you meet some of the characters in each book and would know Jesse and Connor plus meet Gavin in first book.

You have two guys here with heavy pasts and don't want relationships and barely have time for hookups. So, attraction and convenience become key. Easy, right? Wrong. Here's what you get.

Enemies to lovers, workplace romance, age gap, hockey romance but not players, class gap, and a scorcher between the sheets.

What I liked about it? Well, I have a soft spot for enemies to lovers and age gap, but I liked the realism. You have 2 dedicated tops, 2 alpha men, that right there you don't expect to work or as in most romances you get one suddenly changing for the other.  Not here. They figure out how to make things work.

There are lots of twists and not all just magically fix themselves but have satisfying ends.
I guess what I like is the compromise but not change of character. I highly recommend this story.

Brigham Vaughn is on the adventure of a lifetime as a full-time author. She devours books at an alarming rate and hasn't let her short arms and long torso stop her from doing yoga. She makes a killer key lime pie, hates green peppers, and loves wine tasting tours. A collector of vintage Nancy Drew books and green glassware, she enjoys poking around in antique shops and refinishing thrift store furniture. An avid photographer, she dreams of traveling the world and she can't wait to discover everything else life has to offer her.

Her books range from short stories to novellas to novels. They explore gay, bisexual, lesbian, and polyamorous romance in contemporary settings.

Tropes: Billionaire, Single Dad, He Falls First, Instalove, Forced Proximity, Grumpy/Sunshine
Release Date: June 1, 2025

I’ve been called a lot of things in my life—gruff, intense, overprotective—but grumpy? That’s a new one.

After losing my wife, I left the noise of professional hockey and billion-dollar boardrooms behind, trading city chaos for small-town peace in Passion Pointe, Tennessee. I’ve got one mission: raise my son right and keep our world calm, quiet, and free from emotional chaos.

Then Linda Carter shows up, all curves, sass, and bright opinions wrapped in a nanny application.

She’s completely wrong for the job… and somehow, exactly what my son needs.

What I didn’t expect? That I’d need her just as much.

One smile from her turns my world upside down. One laugh makes the walls I’ve built start to crack. And the way she looks at me? It’s dangerous.

But she’s got rules, and so do I.
Rule #1: Don’t get attached.
Rule #2: Don’t mix business with pleasure.
Rule #3: Definitely don’t fall for the nanny.

Too late.

Because the more time I spend with Linda, the more I realize this fiery, big-hearted woman isn’t just helping us heal—she might be the piece we didn’t know we were missing.

And if breaking every rule is what it takes to make her ours?

Well then...

They can call me grumpy all they want.

"Rule #1: Never Call Him Grumpy" is a heartwarming closed-door hockey romance featuring a protective billionaire single dad, a sassy curvy nanny who refuses to be intimidated, and the small town that might just help them heal. Perfect for readers who love emotional stories with all the feels but none of the steam. A Sweet, Closed-Door Hockey Single Dad Romcom – Mistakes & Promises Book 2.5 & Rules For Dating A Single Dad #1

Each story in 'Rules For Dating A Single Dad' series celebrates the unique journey of finding love as a single father, showing that sometimes the most rewarding relationships are built on a foundation of Lego bricks and soccer practice sidelines.

Tears well in the eyes of many in the crowd, stirred by a fierce mix of fear and inspiration.

“BECAUSE WE ARE ALL DEGENERATES!” His voice erupts, a flash of fury in his eyes, as a supernatural wind howls from his aura. “WANTED BY NONE—” he roars, his words shaking the room, “AT HOME WITH EACH OTHER!”

Fiver Fingers of Death (Owens Protective Services Book 29) by Giulia Lagomarsino Book tour with Cat's Review @giulialagomarsinoauthor @enticingjourney @tammystwocents X- @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos @TTCBooksandmore

Title: Five Fingers of Death: An OPS Protector Romance
Series: Owens Protective Services, Book 29
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 26, 2025
Cover Design: TE Black Designs
Cover Image: Wander Aguiar

Refers to the five primary methods of killing an enemy or neutralizing a threat.

Firepower, maneuver, intelligence, logistics, communication.

It was practically a code I lived by.

After serving for years under Rafe, it was highly unlikely I’d change a damn thing about that code. He’d ingrained every ounce of that mentality into my head, and that was after the military did it first.

But now he was dead, and the one person I’d always pushed away was the only person I couldn’t keep off my mind. So, I went to her, willing to risk it all to see if she’d have me.

But I was too late.

All those dreams went out the window in a flash, leaving me with the one secret she’d managed to keep from me all these years.

And that secret came in the form of a small, adorable girl.

I knew absolutely nothing about being a father, but this was one mission I wouldn’t fail at, no matter what life threw at me. She was the one pure part of my world that no harm could come to.

But along with Rafe’s death came a promise that I couldn’t shake.

Look after his sister.

Isabelle was beyond messed up after being kidnapped and trapped on an island for the better part of thirteen years. Lord only knew the hell she suffered, but I made a promise, and there was no way in hell I would let him or anyone else down.

I didn’t expect to feel this protective of Isabelle. I didn’t think I’d care about her mental state or if she was happy. But I do, and now it’s my mission to make sure both Isabelle and my daughter are happy and safe.

And in my world, there is no option for failure.

Cat gives this book 15, Oops! 5 meows with a 2 purr heat index...

There are a few trigger warnings.. graphic violence and  mentions of rape.
Wow, Guilia out did herself! I figured Release Point would been unbeatable but, wow, was this epic.

I figured I would like Jason's story but never figured it would be my favorite of the series. We'll at least a tie with Foxes.

But I loved Jason even fell in love with Isabelle and you can't help but love Carli but I have a thing about single dad's.

Getting all of Isabelle's past finally was heartbreaking but good.

There is lots of action, betrayal and and more than one jaw-dropping moment. My jaw still hurts two days later. I can't wait to see what's next.

My phone rang again and I sighed, this time answering it, knowing he wouldn’t stop until I picked up. “What do you want?”

“Tahlia wants to know how long you’re staying in Minnesota,” Johnny rumbled, not sounding very thrilled that he was stuck in the middle of this conversation.

“Who said I was going to Minnesota?”

“You’ve been too fucking distracted for days. I saw you checking flights earlier, and when you couldn’t get a direct flight, you tossed a chair across the room.”

Fuck, I was really losing it if I didn’t see him there.

“It’s about fucking time you got your head out of your ass,” he grumbled.

“I never fucking said I was going to her.”

“Just don’t take too fucking long. Tahlia hasn’t seen her in years. She’s fucking pissed I haven’t let her go to Minnesota on her own.”

“Sounds like a you problem.”

“Yeah, well, I wouldn’t have this problem if you had gotten off your ass and taken care of shit.”

When Tahlia was in trouble and we went on the run with Johnny, watching his ass and keeping his woman safe, Leah was nothing more than a complication. That’s what I kept telling myself. Then I made the mistake of allowing her to walk into my room. The moment she pulled her shirt over her head, every single thought in my head disappeared. I knew I was fucked, but I resisted her to the point of pain.

But I couldn’t fool Jack and Johnny. They knew I held a torch for her. They saw the way I treated women, how they were nothing more than a distraction from the one woman I really wanted. Thankfully, they didn’t say jack shit about it.

“Just get your ass back here as fast as possible. If I have to hear one more fucking time about how long it took you to get her, I’ll fucking kill you.”

“You could just tell her to mind her own business,” I argued.

“Yeah, tell me how that works with Leah.”

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
