Real Good Man (The Last Best Place for Love Book 2) by Giulia Lagomarsino book tour with Cat's Review @giulialagomarsinoauthor @enticingjourney @tammystwocents X- @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos @TTCBooksandmore

Title: Real Good Man
Series: The Last Best Place for Love Book #2
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre/Tropes: Small Town; Enemies-to-Lovers; Opposites Attract; Dark Secrets; Grumpy/Sunshine; Next-Door Neighbors and Emotionally Unavailable
Release Date: January 26, 2026

In a small town where secrets last five minutes, privacy is a myth, and gossip lasts forever, this might have been the worst possible place to settle.

After my last job fell apart and burned my reputation, I followed Archer to this small town in Nowhere, Montana.

I had no intention of staying longer than the night, but circumstances took a turn for the worse when not only was there not an immediate solution to my job problem, but the only places to stay were the local roach motel or a bed and breakfast with flowery bedspreads and potpourri in every room.

But then I happened to help out a Parker, which apparently meant something in this town.

Not only did I land myself a house rental for as long as I needed, but I ended up with a neighbor who insisted on feeding a stray dog on my property, convinced he was mine.

And as much as I fought it, I found myself sort of liking the damn dog.
Not that I would ever admit that.
But the dog wasn’t the only unexpected addition to my daily life.

It seemed the more I tried to ignore my neighbor—her perky personality, the weird tea concoctions, and her ability to make me want her even when she annoyed me—the more I found myself intertwined in her life.

And that might just get her killed.

Cat gives this book 4 meows with a 4 purr heat index...

This is a book 2 in the new series. It is best read in order as recurring characters and many are connected.

Some things I really liked....

The gossiping neighbors and how gossiping traveled within seconds of events... hilarious.  In some cases, others new things before the other character.

The dog that just appears in the truck back inside when let out and the expressions it makes.
JR....hot alpha protecter with secrets and a dark side...I'll take 3 please.

And I adored Josie sweet, adorable but not a pushover.

And how characters keep dropping in and building up suspense for the series.

The only thing I didn't love was it started a bit slow and repetitive but was still funny and cute but once the embers caught... awesome.

Can't wait to see who's next.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Cat's Review of Scoring Chances (The Comebacks) by A.J. Truman and M.A. Wardell @ajtruman_author @mawardellauthor @neonrainbowarcreviews @tammystwocents X- @TTCBooksandmore

Totally fake marriage. Very real feelings.

When my hockey teammate, the recently widowed Tanner Chance, loses his job, he and his four kids are left with no medical coverage.

So I suggest a wild idea: get married and put his family on my company’s insurance plan.

It’s supposed to be a marriage on paper only. But this being a small town, our nuptials accidentally go public. Now, we have to play house in order to make this scheme believable.

Suddenly, I’m trading my swanky highrise for a cramped split-level and refereeing sibling squabbles while attempting to make a meatloaf.

Goodbye bottomless mimosas. Hello bottomless piles of laundry.

I’m also sharing a bed with my closest friend, the one guy I promised myself I’d never cross a line with…and using all my willpower to keep that promise.

The more time I spend married to Tanner, the harder it is to remember what’s fake. Because every time he smiles at me, every time he calls me his husband, it feels a little too real.

If our ruse is exposed, I could lose not just my career, but the man and family I never knew I wanted.

Scoring Chance is a single dad, friends-to-lovers, marriage of convenience MM romance. It’s book 2 in The Comebacks series, about a team of former hockey champions recapturing their magic (and finding love) in a local amateur league—but it can be read as a standalone. Whether they win or lose, there’s always a post-game beer.

Cat gives this book 5 meows with a 3 purr Index...

For those that like lots of spicy scenes and explicit you may call these 2 flames....I think I'll go with 3 as there are at least 2 fairly explicit scenes... it opens a bit raunchy but oddly with only 1 of the MC...

now I'll explain just a little...Des is a wealthy playboy and bisexual... he's fairly arrogant and rocky but has a big heart and soft spot for his best friend from middle school and high-school hockey partner Tanner.

Tanner is a widower with 4 kids...demisexual and monogamous.  He doesn't have time to play around.

So, when he gets laid off, loses insurance and Des proposes so he can put them on his insurance; that's what best friends do, right? Help each other, what could go wrong? I suggest you grab this and see for yourself because it's more a twister than a twizzler, sweeter than cotton candy and plain Ole swoon worthy.

This is book 2 of the Comebacks but can be read as a standalone though the first book was good too...this one even better so if this is the pattern oh my I can't wait to see what's next.

I loved all the character's, the kids, the development of the romance, the realism but also escapism... I guess I loved it all so much I read in one setting.

If you like fake marriage of convenience, slow burn, cute kids, lots of humor and the usual
Hockey Romance (armature league) single dad, small town, best friends to lovers, you're going to love this.

Cat's Review of Stealing his Thunder (Toronto Thunder book 2) by Beth Bolden @bethboldenauthor @neonrainbowarcreviews @tammystwocents X- @beth_bolden @TTCBooksandmore

  • Can rookie Cam’s sunshine steal veteran Dawson’s thunder?

Kicker Dawson Hall is ready to leave his past in the dust. His last season was catastrophically bad, with the distraction of his divorce and discovering that his father-in-law wasn’t managing his money—he was stealing it, instead.

He signs with the Toronto Thunder, poised for his redemption arc, but he’s grumpy and frustrated he has to undertake one at all. He should be better than this. He
    is better than this.

The new rookie punter’s hero worship might be just another annoyance, but Cameron Green is sweet and kind and more than a little naïve. He’s a country boy suddenly dumped amongst all the skyscrapers, with no idea of how the real world can chew him up and spit him out. It’s practically Dawson’s duty to mentor him and if Dawson soaks up a little of his sunshine, too?

Well, nobody could blame him for that. Not after the year’s he’s just had.

But when Dawson starts craving more and more of Cam, his crush dangerously teetering into passion kind of territory, he’s forced to not just confront his own past, full of disappointment and distrust, but his future, too.

He wants his redemption, and that perfect vision of a season feels just within reach. But it turns out he doesn’t just want Cam for single season—even if it’s everything he believed he wanted—he wants Cam for every season.

Cat gives this Book 5 meows with a 4 purr heat index...

This is book 2 in the series, you can read alone but you'd understand the characters and team better if read in order.

Here's a few things I loved.

Cam's relationship with his dad. I adore how caring and how he talks in depth with Cam about his feelings. I'd love more of him.... hint hint Beth... an HEA for an older dad?

I like Dawson struggling with his feelings trying to get back on his feet.

I guess what I'm saying I like that this relationship works up to it and it builds as the book goes.

A little slow burn.

I like Cam is younger but the taller of the 2 and holds his own in the bedroom.

I'm really loving this series and see some many potential stories ahead...yay.

I think Cam and Dawson have merged right up in my favorite Beth couples list.

If you like football romance grumpy/sunshine, age gap, and lots of good characters and storylines with play-by-play football too you're going to love this.

Cat's Review of Dodge (Bastian Brothers #2) by V.L. Locey @vl_locey @tammystwocents X- @vllocey @TTCBooksandmore

For Dodge, the vibrant plains of Oklahoma hold the promise of a new way of life as well as the possibility of a second chance at love.

Starting over is never easy. Dodge Bastian can attest to that fact a few times over. Not only has the professional from California traded in his dental scrubs for cowboy boots, but he’s also now the sole parent of his ten-year-old son. While trying to restore the rundown ranch his father left to him and his siblings, Dodge was thrilled to be given sole custody of his child. His dreams of raising his boy in the bliss that is rural America are slowly coming true. However, the upheavals that have taken place are not sitting as well on his son’s thin shoulders as they are on his.

While he’s working to rebuild a family legacy for his son, the lad has found a new group of friends who aren’t exactly the best influences. After being caught defacing a historical landmark in downtown Bastian Grange, Dodge gets a call about his son from the local sheriff. Tall, handsome, and infinitely patient, Ollie Ahoka has already grabbed Dodge’s eye. Seeing how the lawman interacts with his son fans the small flame of attraction into a blaze that will soon engulf both men. But will the inferno of a new romance continue to burn once the reality of parenthood settles in?

Dodge (Bastian Brothers #2) is a single father, medium burn M/M contemporary western gay romance with a new cowboy who is feeling out of his depth, a longtime local lawman, a confused young man, lots of found family love, plenty of filled to the rafters farmhouse chaos, and warm as the summer sun happy ending.

Cat gives this book 5 Meows with a 3 Purr heat index...

This is book 2 in the Bastian Brothers series a contemporary western romance.
It's set in Oklahoma.  I feel it should be read in order... at least book 1 first so you know why the 4 brothers are together, why one doesn't really like the others and a bit about each one since it was all set up in the first book.

Dodge is from California, going through a rough divorce and raising his ten-year-old son on his own.

A few things I really liked the found family aspect. I loved Dahn the child and how his story is very integral to the main story.

All the feels. Lots and lots and lots of emotions and feels.

Is there anything I didn't like?  Nope. Loved everything! And can't wait for the next book.

If you like slow burn, new cowboy, ex dentist, local lawmakers, found family, stories with kids, small town western with some angst and lots of feels this is for you.

Cat's Review of Major Advancement by Andrew Grey @andrewgreybooks @tammystwocents X- @AndrewGreyBooks @TTCBooksandmore

Second-grade teacher Dade Saracina has had all of the military life he could possibly want. He grew up with an ambitious father who moved them all over the world, and now he just wants to put down roots. So the last thing he wants or expects is a handsome, kind, and attention-drawing army major to come to his rescue.

Major Clifton Rogers loves a challenge, and he’s been curious about the quiet man who lives near him. Seeing trouble, he jumps into action, and damn near sinks into Dade’s eyes when they meet his. The attraction between them seems undeniable, but Dade keeps him at arm's length, and once Cliff meets his father, the general, he understands why.

As much as Dade resists, Cliff gets past his defenses and works his way into his life and heart. But Dade’s father has definite ideas about what his son should be doing, and he isn’t the kind of person who likes to lose or takes no for an answer. Cliff and Dade are going to need to be certain of what they want in order to stave off the general’s assault on their potential happy ending.

Cat gives this book 5 meows...

Sweet with just a touch of heat.

I really loved this one though it's started like a couple of the firefighter books with Dade in a fire in his apartment but rescued by a military man. He was raised by a general and doesn't want entangled in the military life but  Cliff wins him over but will Dads Father intervene?

This one has lots of feels with two big hearted Main characters. I really loved both guys and love Dade's sweetness but stand up to his father attitude. I liked he's not a pushover.

It's a great book when looking for something soothing and happy.
