Download Now at Publishers Before it's Released!Jack and Roman’s love grows seemingly stronger as Jack’s star rises, and he is determined to build a life with the sexually overwhelming screen idol. But hiding from the truth doesn’t make it any less real.

Jack has given himself completely to screen god Roman Pasquale – body and heart. Jack forces himself to let go of the promise of what could have been with Nick, and focus on the enchanted moments with his film star lover instead, despite Roman’s jealous and controlling behaviour.

Roman’s paranoia and fear about losing the much younger Jack threatens to destroy the only real happiness Roman has ever had. Jack is a wonder and a gift to him, yet he can’t seem to just accept their charmed life together – he is determined to make Jack into the perfect partner. He believes that constant sexual attention, lavish gifts, and declarations of love will ensure that Jack never has a reason to leave him.

The pressures of being on the silver screen and being the lover of a demanding movie idol is difficult for the sensitive young man to handle, and Roman’s increasingly erratic behaviour only adds to his stress. Unwanted attention from other men and a startling revelation from movie star Trixie Fox add to Jack’s confusion. All he’s ever wanted was true love, so how can he give up on Roman and the star’s promises of forever?

Review based off an ARC copy.
This is the third book in a series that must be read in order.

All young Jack has ever wanted was to be loved and be happy. He thought he found that with Nick, but had his heart broken when Nick left him. Screen icon Roman Pasquale was conveniently there to pick up the pieces. Jack was leery of the eccentric older man’s affections in the beginning, but persistence paid off and Roman finally won his heart. As much as Jack wants to live happily ever after with Roman, things are happening that are starting to concern Jack.

Roman is controlling and extremely jealous. And now the studio has tightened the reigns on their relationship, making them hide the fact that they are lovers even more so than they already were. Roman’s constant paranoia that he’s going to lose his young lover is causing him to make decisions that are just pushing Jack even further away.

Jack loves Roman with all his heart, and Roman returns that love he just doesn’t really know how to convey it all the time. The distance that the studio is forcing on them is actually providing some clarity for Jack. That coupled with a new found interest in him and a secret he discovers may be too much for his strained relationship with Roman to bare.

The character development throughout this series just keeps growing and maturing. Jacks naivete is his greatest quality, and he’s about to find out he has strength as well. Roman is hanging on by a thread. His domineering personality can come across as abusive if you read him the wrong way, but he really just knows no other way to love. I’ll tell you after reading this installment and learning even more about the characters and delving deeper into the story, who I’m rooting for has shifted.

This series is fast paced and completely engaging with a wide variety of colorful characters. Knight has written a fantastical story set in the Prohibition era wrapped up with glitz, romance, movie star dreams and heartbreak. I recommend adding this collection to your e-reader for sure.

Erotic Romance author Morticia Knight enjoys a good saucy M/M or M/M/F tale, whether it is contemporary, paranormal, historical, Sci-fi or BDSM - she loves it all! One of her passions is bringing people's fantasies to life on the page, because life is too short for even one boring moment. Her stories are volcanic in heat, deep in emotion, and sprinkled with doses of humor. When not indulging in her passion for books, she loves the outdoors, film and music. Once upon a time she was the singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She is currently working on a seven-book series called Gin & Jazz set in 1920's Hollywood, and Uniform Encounters 4.

Guest post with Author Morticia Knight; a little behind the scenes of the Gin & Jazz series along with a sneak peak at book 4, Starring Role!

Thank you so much Tammy for hosting me here on the release day of Tarnished Glitter (Gin & Jazz 3). I wanted to share with everyone a bit of background info on some of the fun locations that have been highlighted throughout the Gin & Jazz series. The books are set in the silent film/prohibition era of Hollywood, and tell of young and innocent Jack Stone’s journey from orphan to film star to finally, his hard won HEA. There are many people he meets and becomes involved with along the way, and there are some incredible real-life locations from that era included in the books. Many are still around today.

In Hollywood Bound (Gin & Jazz 1), lovers Jack and Nick are beyond thrilled the first time the see the Hollywoodland sign perched on the city’s hills. They’ve finally made it to the celluloid kingdom where they are certain all of their dreams will come true. But like so many things in Hollywood, the sign is not what it seems – it’s really just an advertising gimmick to sell a housing development:

Back when I lived in Hollywood, I loved to eat at The Beachwood CafĂ© – a writer/actor hangout on the road that leads to the sign and is in the middle of the built up development the sing originally promoted. I miss their creative sandwiches, omelets and coffee!

In Razzle Dazzle (Gin & Jazz 2), Jack is wooed by the dashing screen idol, Roman Pasquale. They go to some iconic restaurants, so it would be tough for me to choose – but I probably spent the most of my time at Musso & Frank’s. The restaurant (and now bar as well) is an Italian eatery with classic Italian dishes. It’s always been pricey, but the last time I went – holy crap – it was off the charts. But great food and retro atmosphere. It’s the backdrop for a couple scenes in the series, but most significantly, it’s where Jack officially meets his future film star lover Roman for the first time amidst a studio luncheon. One of my favorite scenes to write, Jack is intimidated by the older man and mortified that Roman is there after catching Jack spying on him at his party. Roman uses double-entendre and his trademark wickedness to lure Jack into leaving with him.

Musso’s has an amazing history that’s too long to go into here, but one interesting fact is that it is the location of the scene from Ed Wood where Ed meets Orson Welles and is advised not to compromise on his artistic vision:

In Tarnished Glitter (Gin & Jazz 3) The Sequoia National Forest is the location Roman takes Jack to for Valentine’s Day.

The lovers have been squabbling a bit lately and much of it centers around Jack’s distaste for the constant glitz and glamor that Roman craves. Jack’s a regular guy and enjoys the simpler things in life such as parks and beaches. To show Jack how much he means to him, Roman sacrifices his desires to keep Jack happy. In the following excerpt, Roman makes Jack exceedingly happy *wink*.

“Are you cold? Should I add some more logs?”

Roman looked at Jack with a tinge of worry on his face. He had been like that ever since Jack’s illness. He constantly fussed over whether or not Jack was perfectly well.

“I’m fine, Roman. Would you just fuck me already?”

Roman broke out in a hearty laugh. “My, my. Aren’t we anxious? I’m glad to know that you crave a lusty romp with me. But may I be indulged first? Allow me to take a quick moment to place more wood on the fire. We may be at this for a while, and we don’t want to be interrupted by the cold, now, do we?”

Roman’s heated gaze made Jack swallow hard. He was in that heady place with Roman where they seemed to be the only two people who existed in the entire universe. Roman accomplished his task, and stood over Jack, his thick semi-erect penis a few inches from Jack’s face. Jack pushed up on his knees to move closer, nuzzling the dark curled hairs at the root of Roman’s hardening shaft. He delighted in Roman’s masculine scent. It drove him mad with want.

After rubbing his face all around Roman’s heavy sacs, through his nest of curls and down his velvety length, he suckled the very end of Roman’s glistening cockhead into this mouth. He held onto Roman’s hips and delighted in his salty, sweet flavour. Jack moaned as he took Roman deeper into his mouth, the tip pressing against the back of his throat. He still couldn’t take him all the way in, but he was able to satisfy Roman orally better than he ever would have thought possible.

Jack moaned some more around Roman’s erection, working his tongue on the underside as he did. Roman grabbed Jack’s hair forcefully.

“Fuck. Jack. You need to stop that now. I thought you wanted me in your ass?”

Jack let go immediately. Roman chuckled.

“Now lay back, my angel. I need your tight heat clenched around me.”

Roman prepared Jack’s ass, and their breathing sped up. He was glad that Roman had thought to have him come already. The probing of Roman’s long fingers inside him was almost sending him over the edge as it was. Already Jack’s hips moved up and down, and he pushed against Roman’s hand, urging him on.

“Mmmm. So eager, so beautiful.”

Roman pulled his fingers out of Jack, grasped his dick and poised it against Jack’s moistened entrance. Jack raised his legs up and wrapped them around Roman’s waist again. This was how he liked to be taken by Roman. Face to face, Jack completely enveloping Roman as he drove his massive length into him.

“I am going to completely fill you now, Jack Stone.”

Jack inhaled sharply as Roman pushed all the way into him with one powerful thrust. Then he stilled and looked into Jack’s eyes. He softly caressed Jack’s face, brushing light kisses over his lips, not attempting to penetrate his mouth. As always, Jack was so impaled by Roman, he couldn’t move enough to encourage Roman on. However, his feeble efforts caught Roman’s attention.

“Lie still with me. Feel me inside of you, how we are joined as if we were one.”

Roman’s words were enough to make him want to come. This time Roman descended on Jack’s mouth and claimed it. His tongue probed deep, and Jack sucked all around it, tasting his lover, revelling in his flavour. Ever so slowly, Roman pulled out of Jack’s ass almost to the point of exiting, never breaking their kiss as he did. Then he pushed little by little all the way back in. It was utter torture.

Still not letting go of Jack’s mouth, Roman continued to leisurely fuck Jack. Every inch of Roman moving gently inside of him both burned and thrilled him. There was the pressure of Roman’s body smashed against Jack’s hard cock and nut sacs, but with barely any friction. He could feel Roman’s heavy balls brushing softly against the top of his butt crack. He was overly aware of every small interchange between their bodies.

Roman released Jack’s mouth, but stayed close enough so that their warm, champagne-scented breath intermingled.

“Do you feel good?” Roman spoke in a low, seductive tone.

“God, yes. Faster, please.”

“Shhh. No need to rush, my love.”

Roman kept up the agonisingly slow pace of his fucking whilst he whispered to Jack.

“Your heat, Jack, it’s unbelievable. Can you feel every inch of me? How your body embraces me?”

Jack was close to tears. There was so much pleasure with so much pain. But neither was enough to take him where he needed to go.

“Please…”

“Mmmm, so nice. I love your little cries, the way you beg for me. Do you know that when you orgasm, you milk my cock completely dry?”

Jack groaned, and Roman feathered sweet kisses all around his face. Still, Roman’s pace remained the same. Jack dug his nails in Roman’s shoulders. He doubted he could stand much more.

“I’m begging, Roman. Please. I need you. Fuck me harder, please fuck me…”

Before Jack could finish pleading, Roman had pulled out and slammed all the way back into him. Jack yelled and gritted his teeth.

Yes,” Jack snarled. “More.”
