Spotlight on Nasty Little F!#*ers and Old Sins by @DavidLMcAfee | Giveaway & Buy links {TTC AOTM}

~ Author of the month August 2015 ~
~ David McAfee {Bachiyr series} ~

We have come to the end of our month with David McAfee. This week, the spotlight is on two of his stand alone stories outside the vampire world he has perfected. Nasty Little F!#*ers is a lovely zombie-esque story that will make your skin crawl... literally! And Old Sins, well that plot in this mystery is so thick, you may need a rope to pull yourself out.

From the bestselling author of 33 A.D. and Saying Goodbye to the Sun. Eight scientists and one ex-marine accept an assignment to study the effects of deforestation in Aroostook County, Maine. It's a routine job, and everything seems to be going according to plan. But when one of their number goes missing, leaving behind only a severed foot as evidence, former lieutenant Colby Phillips must lead an expedition to find him.

What they find instead is an entirely new species. A large breed of insect whose ravenous larvae display features and abilities never before seen in nature. The scientists' amazement turns to fear when they find themselves at the bottom of the food chain. Can Colby lead the survivors to safety? Or is it already too late? Of course, escape would be much easier if the dead would stay that way.

From the award winning author of 33 A.D., 61 A.D., and NASTY LITTLE F!#*ERS!

Secrets run deep in small towns. Wakely, Tennessee is no exception.

The first death is ruled a suicide, but soon more and more of Wakely’s elderly are found dead, seemingly by their own hands. Deputy Scott Henry is not so sure. His suspicions turn to horror when he sees one of the recently dead shuffling down the street.

His search for information leads him to a terrible discovery: a secret so vile it refuses to stay buried. Something dark has come to Wakely, and an old sin is about to be repaid.

LANGUAGE WARNING: Don't let your kids read it!

"Old Sins delivers a return to old-school rural horror in the tradition of Stephen King. Character, suspense, chills--check, check, check. McAfee is a Mack Daddy of the horror genre." - Scott Nicholson, The Home

I was born in England at the age of...um...zero, and spent the next few years traipsing around the globe with my military family. At age six, while living in Maryland, I wrote my first book. I even illustrated it (poorly). It was a charming children’s book titled Tigger Meets Lady Tigger. (At age six, I knew nothing about copyright violations, etc)

As an adult, I joined the Peace Corps, where I single-handedly rescued a baby Yannomammo boy from a school of ravenous piranha. At the time, I'd just wrestled a hungry jaguar (bare-handed, of course) to the ground. I tossed the cat into the water and used the distraction to pull out the three kids and their mother, who would otherwise have become fish food. Once I returned the family of eight to their tiny village, their shaman wept and made me the new chief. The old chief, a 300 pound mass of jungle-sculpted muscle, took offense, and challenged me to one-on-one combat.

With my pride at stake, I accepted, and eventually pinned the nine foot, eight hundred pound behemoth after locking him into a half nelson for an hour. Once assured of victory over the twelve foot tall former chief, I donned his raiments and took over leadership of the tribe. Under my rule they flourished and soon became the Chilean government.

It was during this time that I discovered my talent for embellishment, and thus began to write books. Forty of them, in fact. Seventy-five of which made the NYT Bestseller list. With 112 NYT #1 Bestsellers under my belt, I figured it was time to start a blog: mcafeeland.wordpress.com. Hopefully, you will come find me out in the Wild, Wild Web.

(Did I mention that I invented the internet?)

Tams: Oh my, somebody needs put down the glass and back away slowly. Wait, then his books might not be as good. Nevermind! As you were!!

I hope you've enjoyed the weekly posts for this Author and if you haven't read any of his books yet, you'll grab one or two and get started. They aren't for the faint of heart, and I don't recommend reading any of them in the dark, but they are all truly amazing and deserve an addition to your kindle or bookshelf!

Thanks for hanging with us this month Mr. McAfee, I'll see you down the road for the next Bachiyr book! I'm anxiously awaiting Baella's revenge!!
