GRL 2015 Wrap-up and #giveaway

Another GRL has come and gone and we are now counting down the days to GRL 2016 in Kansas City. I'm always amazed by how many things I want to do, people I want to chat and spend time with, and don't get to. I did get to hang out with old friends, and make a few new ones this year. But I also got to meet a ton of readers and fans of my work, that is always such a blessing.

Highlights of this trip for me were finally getting to meet Dani Elle Maas of Love Bytes Reviews, she is just the sweetest gal! I'm so happy that she is thinking of attending again next year.

{me and Dani at the farewell breakfast}

Meeting two of my favorite narrators, Sean Crisden and Greg Tremblay
Let me just say, their voices aren't their only sultry, sexy attributes.

{me and Sean at the Author signing}

The Rock God herself, Ann Lister. Ann is a ray of sunshine I tell you, always smiling and happy, and the woman can dance. Her and Scott Burkett of GGR spent almost as much time on the dance floor as they did off.

{me, AE Via and Ann Lister}

I have to give a couple shout outs. First, the quirky duo that is LA Witt and Ann Zabo. They hosted a fun faire for Supporting Authors and I had way too much fin playing naughty pictionary. Let me just say, CB Lee and I kicked ass, just sayin...
My fellow Indie Authors at the Indie Pub table, you all rock, especially Mercy Celeste for coming up with the idea to snag us a couple of tables, and Arshad Ahsanuddin for taking charge and getting the payments, schedule etc set up and running smoothly.
And last but definitely not least, my girls AE Via, Morticia Knight, Jamie Lynn Miller and Kimberly Spinney. Our trips to the high dollar store in the blistering heat, late nights and early mornings, and that amazing trip to the San Diego Zoo making memories ladies, making memories! Lest we forget the bed hopping, shoe incident. I think I pea'd my pants, seriously.

{Ae Via, myself and Morticia Knight - my PIC's!}

{Jamie Lynn Miller and myself at the San Diego Zoo}

{Author Olivia Black (such a doll!) super sexy cover model Justin and Kimberly}

I'm super excited and anxious for next years GRL. Since KC is only 8 hours from Texas, Kimberly and I are going to have a road trip. I will finally get to introduce my seester and my PA to all my GRL friends as well since they are joining us on the road. Just 350 days or so to go! I look forward to seeing all my peeps, making new friends, meeting more of my fans and seeing if Hans Hirschi can make me cry at his reading for the 3rd year in a row!

Carol Lynn, Ethan Day, Reese Dante and her lovely Hubs, thank you all for putting so much time, blood, sweat and tears into this yearly convention. We couldn't make all the memories we do if the 4 of you didn't offer up your time to make it all happen and make it all amazing!

Of course I brought some goodies back with me from the Swag Room. I have a box that is literally stuffed to the gills with swag from some of the amazing Authors that attended GRL this year, would you like to be the owner of said box? Just leave a comment below to be entered. I'll choose the winner in 48 hours time, sound good?

Release Day Blitz & Giveaway | Water Weaver by Morgan Sheppard

Water Weaver (Wraidd Elfennol #1)

by Morgan Sheppard

The young maiden, Marella, was born to the island of Wraidd Elfennol, a place balanced by the four elements of nature – Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The essence of each element contained in sacred artefacts ensuring the balance of life.

Every year, the community from across the island gather for the Summer Solstice. It is at this celebration the Lords and Ladies of Wraidd Elfennol make an astounding announcement. The sacred artefacts are missing. They then proclaim that four individuals, along with their animal Life Partners, will be selected to restore the balance.

Marella and her otter, Nixie, are chosen because of their link to the element of Water and along with her, three others – each in-tune with a different element.

Together they embark on a quest to either find the missing artefacts or somehow create new ones. As the world around them changes, danger lurks with every challenge the group face. They must hurry as the elements need to be restored before a year and a day have passed.

Failure is not an option or the world as they know it will cease to exist.

Cross To Bare ~ Men of London book #5

Tough in business but romantic at heart, fashion designer Lenny James isn’t hiding his masculinity behind his super successful female alter ego, but a vulnerability that only handsome financier Brook Hunter will be man enough to reveal…and worship.

TWO OF A KIND

It’s amazing what a little mascara and lipstick, a blonde wig, false boobs, and top-notch female fashion can hide. Not that Lenny James is hiding his masculinity. He uses his normal voice when he’s Laverne, and he’s not particularly camp as a man. His reasons for creating his alter ego are locked deep in his past. He is who he is: tough in business, and a romantic at heart. What he’s hiding is vulnerability. He wants a man to accept both sides of him.

Gorgeous, commanding, and dark as sin, Brook Hunter meets Lenny and knows nothing about Laverne until fate pushes her into his path. Cross-dressing is as far from Brook’s reality as fashion is from his world of diplomacy and high finance. Understanding and truth take time, and trust doesn’t come easy. But Brook is about to show Lenny that there are no sides to true love, just the place where they meet in the middle.

Susan Mac Nicol is a self confessed bookaholic, an avid watcher of videos of sexy pole dancing men, self confessed geek and nerd and in love with her Smartphone. This little treasure is called ‘the boyfriend’ by her long suffering husband, who says if it vibrated, there’d be no need for him. Susan hasn’t had the heart to tell him there’s an app for that… She is never happier than when sitting in the confines of her living room/study/on a cold station platform scribbling down words and making two men fall in love. She is a romantic at heart and believes that everything happens (for the most part) for a reason. She likes to think of herself as a ‘half full’ kinda gal, although sometimes that philosophy is sorely tested. Lover of walks in the forest, theatre productions, dabbling her toes in the cold North Sea and the vibrant city of London where you can experience all four seasons in a day , she is a hater of pantomime (so please don’t tar and feather her), duplicitous people, bigotry and self righteous idiots. In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that’s never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pretending, that just for a little while, good things happen to good people.

Welcome to the Gayborhood! Bloom Box by Cate Ashwood | Heartsville series book #5 | Review & Giveaway

Welcome to the gayborhood! In the cozy town of Heartsville, the streets are lined with trees, the shops are full of friendly faces, and happily ever after is just around the corner. Come get to know the boys next door—naughty, nice, and everything in between.

Bloom Box by Cate Ashwood (Oct. 30th)

If there's one thing William Sullivan knows less about than how to run a business, it’s flowers. When Will is left carrying responsibility for the flower shop he’d leased for his cheating ex-boyfriend, he is sure it will lead him into financial ruin.

Just when he’s about to abandon all hope, in walks Milo Hart—young, overflowing with energy, and perhaps best of all, a genius when it comes to flowers. Will hires him on the spot and they begin a working partnership that might be Will’s only saving grace. The more time they spend together, the more Will’s feelings for Milo evolve and Will must choose between keeping things strictly business, or taking a chance to let love bloom.

Buy links: Goodreads | Amazon | ARe

Will Sullivan is left holding the bag for his would be flower shop investment that was rented as a gift for his ex-boyfriend. Right about the time Will is going to allow himself to have the nervous breakdown he deserves, a young, energetic, adorable guy waltzes into the shop looking for a job. Milo Hart is a force of nature and an accident looking for a place to happen. His first day on the job he slips and spills his coffee all over himself, just before cutting his hand open with a box cutter. A couple days later, Will comes down stairs to find Milo painting the shop in nothing but his Captain America underwear, how charming.

Will fights his attraction to Milo at the start, but Milo is tenacious and determined. Is it enough for Will to overlook the age difference? And then a phone call from the owner of the building changes the game.

Short, sexy and steamy with a spoonful of sugar, that is what this story was. Will and Milo were smitten from the start and it was so much fun to watch Will do his level best to ignore the attraction, while Milo did everything he could to ignite the fire. Milo’s clumsy nature combined with his quick wit and Brainiac personality made him absolutely adorable. I wanted to cuddle with him. And then Will’s fierce determination to keep things professional died an oh so sexy, sweaty death. I hope this isn’t the last of this series, I so enjoyed each and every story. If the Authors are reading this, would you be so kind as to go back and expand each story, just a suggestion. Because I want more!

Welcome to the Gayborhood! Clique by Jayden Brooks | Heartsville series #4 | Review & Giveaway

Welcome to the gayborhood! In the cozy town of Heartsville, the streets are lined with trees, the shops are full of friendly faces, and happily ever after is just around the corner. Come get to know the boys next door—naughty, nice, and everything in between.

Clique by Jayden Brooks (Oct. 29th)

Adam Locke’s youthful looks aren’t the blessing everyone seems to think. At twenty-eight, he’s a successful photographer with his own studio and respected by his peers—but that doesn’t seem to matter to the men who catch his eye. Instead, he’s brushed aside like an underage twink with a daddy fetish.

When a hot, bearded stranger stops him from accidentally walking into traffic, Adam looks up and finds the man of his dreams. Unfortunately, his first meeting with Brandon ends with him being dismissed as a kid. Again. Adam can’t help his annoyance. He also can’t help staring (and drooling) whenever he spots Brandon walking through the neighborhood with a different dog.

He watches from afar, wondering about Brandon’s story—until the day he’s dared to take another chance. It’s just the push Adam needs, and finally, he catches Brandon’s interest. Now if only he could figure out the key to getting taciturn Brandon to open up and let Adam in. But Adam knows sometimes all it takes is a little patience for the last piece to click into place.

Adam Locke is an amazing photographer and owner of his own ship, Clique, in Heartsville. His good genes and youthful appearance often have him being mistaken as far younger than he is, and it gets annoying. Especially when a big, burly, bearded stranger that pushes every one of Adam’s buttons, dismisses Adam without as much as a backward glance. Adam makes an honest effort to remain indifferent, but it’s hard when he continues to see Brandon around town. And then his best friend throws out a dare.

This is the fourth book in a serial series of short stories about a group of friends that live in the LGBT friendly community of Heartsville. Adam and Brandon’s story was very cute, fun and quirky. Adam is young, gorgeous and successful, but his confidence has been shot by approaching guys he finds attractive, and being brushed off because he looks so young. No one ever stops to take the time to really get to know him. Brandon is a big guy with a big heart that Adam snags early on. They have a few ups and downs; mostly miscommunication and taking things at face value that are not what they seem. It was a lot of fun watching them get to know each other and fall in love. Nosy parents, exploding lube, dog hair and all.

A lighthearted, fast, fun read with just the right amount of romance.

Spotlight & Giveaway | Rockers & Angels by @sandrine_gasqd {TTC AOTM}

TTC Author of the Month for October
Sandrine Gasq-Dion

This week is all about Sandrine's latest series, The Rock, and her Indie Short stories..

The Rock series is about a band of ragtag misfits and brothers with a little bit of mystery and suspense to sweeten the pot.

The Angel short stories are probably my favorites from Sandrine. Second Time Around is all about soul mates that find their way back to each other, regardless, while Gabriel's Fall is about an Angel that falls in love with his charge.

Best selling author, Sandrine (Sandy) was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by "Old School" French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn't until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research.She's been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She's traveled the world, but has finally returned to Arizona.

There is now an Assassin/Shifter website!! Many thanks to the talented Jenn Watts for all her hard work!
