Skip Quincy, Shortstop (Bottom of the Ninth Book 6) by Jean Joachim | Cat's Review & #giveaway

One minute ten-year-old Skip Quincy was riding in the backseat of his parents’ car, the next, he woke up in Little Angels orphanage. Within six months, he was adopted. Welcomed by the woman he learned to call “mom”, Mr. Quincy wasn’t a fan.

Athletically gifted early on, Skip pursued baseball. He loved the sport and excelled, despite his discouraging father. Driven to succeed to prove his dad wrong, Skip worked hard. Under the guidance of his beloved high school coach, he won the coveted, most challenging position on the team – shortstop.
Though plagued by self-doubt, Skip made it to the Nighthawks. He focused on baseball and relied on brief encounters with groupies as a substitute for love. When two women entered his life, satisfaction with one-night stands faded. Mimi or Francie? Could either one give him the love and acceptance he’d never had?

Cat gives this one 5 Meows with a 4 Purr heat index...

Skip Quincy is a book six in the series but stands alone just fine. This was my first and I will be going back to read the others.

Skip is a ladies man but with so many teammates finding love and settling down part of him wants that too.Like with anyone he has secrets in his past that hold him back from committing to one woman.  He doesn't mind since being on the road traveling and with the Championships, playoffs and World series are looming

There is a lot going on in this book with the regular plot of the games which the detail is like sitting in a ballpark, The romance, but who will he choose? and Francies story and her art as well. Will she choose love over the career she worked so hard to get?

I loved each of the characters and want to go back and read their stories.

If you love passion, romance, baseball and some sensual hot love scenes this is for you.

I write contemporary romance in two heat levels: sweet and spicy (or sensuous). I love getting lost in a new story and meeting new characters.
