BFF written by KC Wells narrated by Michael Mola | Tams Audiobook Review & #giveaway @Dreamspinners @K_C_Wells @TTCBooksandmore

BFF

I’m about to do something huge, and it could change...everything.

I met Matt in second grade, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We went to the same schools; studied at the same college. When we both got jobs in the same town, we shared an apartment. And when my life took an unexpected turn, Matt was there for me.

Every milestone in my life, he was there to share it. And what’s really amazing? After all these years, we’re still the best of friends. Which brings me to this fragile, heart-stopping moment: I want to tell him I love him, really love him, but I’m scared to death of what he’ll say. If I’ve got this all wrong, I’ll lose him - forever.

Best friends forever, with a twist!

I absolutely loved the premise for this book, told from David's perspective as he writes the story of his life with Matt. Childhood friends that grow together, day by day and year by year until the day they look at each other and see something different, something more. They literally fell in love with one another over two decades. The book explores their lives, two adolescents looking for turtles become teenagers that just don't understand what the big deal is when it comes to girls. High school graduates that, of course, travel to the same college and become roommates. Two young men that would do anything for the other, trust one another implicitly eventually come to the conclusion that the reason why they could never make any other relationship work is because they've already found... the one. It's the joy of walking in their footsteps on this journey that really made the story for me.

This is my first book from this narrator and I had a few issues. A few times throughout the character speaking obviously changed, but he kept the same tone which confused me. Also, he literally spoke what the Author wrote. If a character was laughing, he laughed, like, a lot, and every single time. You may think this is the narrator pulling the emotions from the characters but, not so much. At least, not for me. It didn't flow well for me in the end, actually pulled me out of the story after the fifth or so time.

Overall I enjoyed the story and would recommend.

I've always written, right from an early age. I was always writing stories as a child, and as I grew up, I had the idea of writing a novel, like so many people do. Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter.... K.C. now writes full time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it... it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.
