For Fox’s Sake (Fetish alley Book one) by Susan Mac Nicol | Cat’s Review & #giveaway @SusanMacNicol7 @BoroughsPubGrp @TTCBooksandmore

The Places You'll Go And The Things That You'll See

Former SAS soldier, Clay Mortimer, the M in M&W Investigations, had thought he'd seen it all. But when his ex calls and asks for a favour Clay is intrigued, and then a bit surprised. He and his partner, Tate Williams, have a robust and imaginative sex life, but the things they see and learn in Fetish Alley take their understanding of human behaviour to the next level. Tate's take is part kid in a candy store fascination, part shocked. At the end of the day, all good detective work requires an open mind and the skill to ferret out the truth. Still, the layers of deceit and avarice they encounter are more than par for the course, particularly from people who are not keen about outsiders to the world of Fetish Alley

Cat gives this one 5 Meows with a 3 Purr heat index...

This is a new series from one of my auto-buy authors Susan Mac Nichol. I loved her Men of London series and Clay and Tate are from that series, HOWEVER, this is totally different and tough you would know the characters better this stand-alone just fine.

Clay and Tate have a Private investigation business and Clay gets a call from a friend and ex-lover that has opened a big fetish club at the end of what is known as fetish alley. This is a mystery suspense, kind of erotic street cozy. There is a few twists and turns but the best part is all the crazy shops and funny banter between Clay and Tate then at the end we get more crazy fun between Aurelio and Tomas. I wonder if they are book two.

If you like English settings, fetish, established couples, mystery, and furries (not the four legged kind) or just a good old romantic mystery that will keep you laughing this is for you!

Excerpt
Clay let go of Tate’s earlobe and turned to hug Aurelio. “I’ll be in touch. Let me know if you hear anything else, or if a culprit confesses.” He flashed a wide grin at Aurelio. “It wouldn’t be the first time for you, would it?”
Aurelio raised one supercilious eyebrow. “I still maintain I browbeat no one into a confession in Grenada, my friend. The man simply confessed he was cheating out of a sense of pure guilt.”
“Yeah, and because you had a knife to his balls under the table,” Clay scoffed. He glanced at Tate. “Never play poker with this man. He takes losing quite seriously.”
Tate nodded as they walked down the stone steps. “Duly noted.”
They both waved back at Aurelio, who smiled and closed the door behind them. Clay chuckled softly as they walked back toward the car.
Tate glanced over at him. “What’s so funny?”
Clay smirked. “Perhaps we need to revisit our role-playing techniques. How do you feel about putting on a wolf suit and I can tell you how big your teeth are?”
Tate scowled. “Bring an animal suit anywhere near me, and I swear I’ll set it on fire.”
“Oh my, Mr Wolf, what a big—” Clay managed to get out before Tate slapped his hand over Clay’s mouth.
“Fuck off,” Tate snarled

  1. Oh Cat, thanks again for a aonderful review!! I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this one, it was a bit of a departure to what I've done before. Death by C*ck is book 2, and Relio and Tomas feature, but it's in book 3 which I'm busy doing now that you'll get to know them a bit better as there will be chapters from their POV :) Thanks again xx
