Title: Wilder Love
Author: Emery Rose
Genre: Contemporary Romance Standalone
Release Date: September 26, 2019

"One of my all times favourite reads. A 10 star heartfelt masterpiece." - Diane, TDC Book Reviews
"5 stars! Wow, what a read! Gritty, emotional, dramatic, beautiful, sexy and romantic with just the right amount of angst, a forbidden YA/NA romance and an absolutely gorgeous second-chance love story, this book had me feeling all the feels, and I freaking loved it!" - AJ, The Escapist Book Blog
"One of the best reads of 2019 so far! If you try only one new author this month, let it be this one! I promise you, Wilder Love will not disappoint." - Ali, Fallen For Books
"There was a LOT of angst, a lot of push and pull, a lot of me wanting to beat my head against a wall and yell, and definitely some tears. Shane and Remy definitely had a difficult road to travel, but everything they survived so that they could LIVE was so worth the pain and struggle." - Jenn, Goodreads Reviewer
"One of my Top Reads of the year & In my opinion Emery's best book to date." - Trish, Unbound Book Reviews
I was infatuated with Shane Wilder since the first time I saw him surfing. But we couldn’t be together. Not yet, anyway. I was too young and screwed up. He was too focused on chasing his dream.
So we became friends. We met on the rooftop for late-night confessions under the stars. Cruised along the Pacific Coast Highway with the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces.
I took photos of all the beautiful and ugly and interesting things, while he traveled the world in search of the perfect waves.
I told him I would wait for him.
I never meant to lie.
I never meant to ruin his life.
I. Destroyed. Him.
As his star faded, mine burned bright. But as everyone knows, all that glitters is not gold.
Now I’m back after seven long years, hoping for a chance to right my wrongs and fix what I’ve broken. This time I can only hope that loving Shane Wilder will be enough to save him.
Emery Rose has been known to indulge in good red wine, strong coffee, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. She loves writing sexy alpha heroes, strong heroines, artists, beautiful souls, and flawed but redeemable characters who need to work for their HEA.
When she’s not working on her latest project, you can find her binge-watching Netflix, trotting the globe in search of sunshine, or immersed in a good book. A former New Yorker, she currently resides in London with her two fabulous daughters and one grumpy, but lovable Border Terrier.

With a Friend's Strength (Badge and Bullets Series, Book 2) by Brittany Cournoyer | Cat’s Audio Review & #giveaway @KObiNarrator @TTCBooksandmore

Narrated by: Kenneth Obi
Length: 6 hrs and 26 mins

After surviving two brutal attacks that nearly killed him, Bradley Danforth was determined to put them behind him and move on with his life. He moved into a new house on the other side of town and made a new resolve to live his life to the fullest. Only, Bradley can’t seem to get the one person out of his mind who let him down the most, Max Donohue. When he starts receiving threatening messages, Max is the first-person Bradley turns to for help.

Max is a homicide detective who quickly learned that the job is about more than catching the bad guy and being a hero. When he’s assigned a cold case he’d rather leave alone. Max knows he must face a past he buried a long time ago so he can close it once and for all. Max is soon immersed in more than just a murder as he discovers evidence of corruption and a massive cover up. The combination of working the cold case and battling his demons is enough to send Max into a downward spiral, but when Bradley comes to him for help, Max finds the strength to do whatever he can to keep him safe.

Will Max step up to the challenge he failed to overcome before, or will someone succeed in ending Bradley’s life once and for all?

With a Friend’s Strength is the second installment of the Badge and Bullets series featuring the same two characters. It is a suspenseful murder mystery that depicts detailed crimes, strong language, and adult situations. While this series will include a romance, it’s a slow burn that develops throughout the series.

With a Friend's Strength Is Book Two of the Badge and Bullets series. You should read them in order starting with At a Stranger’s Mercy since this takes up after the events there.

I love these two men and I love the slow burn as they are working on friendship and Bradley is trying to build trust in Max. This sort of has two stories rolled in one as Max is working on a cold case that reminds him of his past and we get a lot of Max in this one.

The story is well written, suspenseful and the characters so realistic. It is a slow burn so don't expect any sex. I cannot wait for the next book.

If at all possible, get the audios because Kenneth Obi adds great voice and excitement to enhance your experience.

Cat gives this one 3 Meows...

This is the second book in the New Beginnings series and is Ben's story. I will admit I lie the first book much better because I fell for Sol. This story is sweet, and I admit I really liked Marty. This is a story about being yourself and how hard that can be at times.

The Narration was just okay.

Leona is a longtime staunch supporter of human rights and environmental causes. Her favourite genre to read is M/M fiction and she particularly enjoys science fiction, fantasy, and action/suspense subgenres--especially if they have a nice seasoning of romance. She has far too many books on her Kindle, has overloaded her phone with even more and, when not reading, writing, being driven to distraction by her children, or being overlorded by her three cats, can be found trying to locate the portal that the sock monster uses to steal socks from her dryer.

I've Got This ( A Joy Universe Novel) by Louisa Masters | Cat’s Review & #giveaway @Dreamspinners @AuthorLouisaM @TTCBooksandmore

Derek Bryer loves his life. His job as an assistant director at Joy Universe, the second-largest theme park complex on the planet, makes him indirectly responsible for bringing joy (pun intended) to millions of people. So what if none of his relationships are that close? Everyone he meets loves him.

Except Trav Jones. For some reason, the visiting Broadway performer would rather Derek just go away. He appreciates Derek’s work ethic, though, and after Trav steps up when Derek desperately needs someone to fill in for his sick staff, Derek seizes the chance to convince Trav he’s not such a bad guy.

Falling in love while distracted by a murder at the park, food poisoning, and colleagues placing bets on their relationship won’t be easy, but between the two of them and with the magic of Joy Universe, they’ve got this.

I love this cover. It really set the tone for Derek.

Derek is a work driven man and loves his job, but it leaves no room for romance. That is until he meets the one man that seems to not like him on the worse day of his life. He is faced with murder in one of his villas and almost all his dancers get hit with salmonella. Trav Jones is a Broadway performer in one of the shows and fills in for the sick dancers. but he doesn't seem to like Derek like everyone else, so Derek tries to find out why and sparks fly.
The story is interesting from the start the characters are all likable and intriguing and I didn't want to put the book down once I started. It is a sweet, charming story.

Excerpt…
I JUST can’t help it—I sing loudly to myself and the cars around me as I drive to work. Well, considering the speed traffic is moving at, it’s unlikely anyone in those cars can hear me, but I like to think that maybe I’m brightening someone’s morning with my off-key warbling along to the radio. Everyone should be as happy to face the morning as I am.
Admittedly, I have a pretty great life. I’m thirty-seven and have great parents who live far enough away that I don’t have to see them too often. I’m also financially independent, with friends around the country—the world, actually, thanks to my employer’s propensity for hiring talented people from around the globe—and generally get along with everyone. I can recognize the good things about myself—and the not-so-good things, but why would I want to tell you about those? Let’s call it confidence. I’m confident in myself. And that means that most mornings I wake up happy to face the day.
Some people hate their jobs. Not me. I’ve worked damned hard since graduating college, and now I’m in the enviable position of being an assistant director at the second-largest entertainment complex in the world—the youngest ever assistant director. For those of you who don’t know, that’s Joy Universe, a resort and theme park complex in southern Georgia, not far from the Florida state line. JU has four theme parks, twenty-six resorts and three campgrounds, and a shopping and entertainment village that rivals anything on offer anywhere else.
The downside? The complex is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, except for the town that was established to provide housing and services for staff. It’s called Joyville, and is now a thriving small city, actually beginning to attract residents who don’t have any connection to JU—although, as a long-term resident myself, I don’t know why. Still, the University of Georgia recently decided to build a campus in Joyville, so I guess it’ll keep on growing.
I’m just turning in the entrance of the JU complex when my phone rings, cutting off the musical talents of whatever pop star the radio was playing. I flick a glance at the in-dash display.
Fuck.
It’s Dimi, my assistant. He’s an ambitious overachiever, so he usually beats me to the office, despite the fact that I get there at seven thirty and he’s not required to start work until eight. The point is, he knows exactly when I’m due to arrive, so the only reason for him to call is if there’s an emergency.
I’m just about to hit the button to accept the call when sirens shatter the morning calm. A peek in the rearview mirror shows two police cars, lights flashing, tearing around the corner from the highway. They zip past me as I answer. “Are those sirens for us?”
“Murder at Tiki,” Dimi says tersely.
Double fuck.

Dreamspinner and Riptide both offer excerpts on their site for the titles. I usually copy the prologue or several paragraphs from the first chapter.

Louisa Masters started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should. While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was sneaking romance novels in and working out how to read them without being discovered. She’s spent most of her life feeling sorry for people who don’t read, convinced that books are the solution to every problem. As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills. She spent years trying to build a “sensible” career, working in bookstores, recruitment, resource management, administration, and as a travel agent, before finally conceding defeat and devoting herself to the world of romance novels.

Louisa has a long list of places first discovered in books that she wants to visit, and every so often she overcomes her loathing of jet lag and takes a trip that charges her imagination. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she’ll probably never move.
