For all the time Gail Robbins spends at her favorite local honky tonk, she’s never met Mr. Right. So she lets her cousin talk her into attending a Valentine’s Day singles’ mixer/speed dating event at The Corral. But even confetti and floating cherubs aren’t helping Cupid find her a match. Until she runs into Scott Callahan.

Scott Callahan is sexy, gorgeous, and charming. Unfortunately, he’s also Gail’s new boss, and it’s never good to mix business with pleasure. Besides, he's definitely not her type. Or is he? Maybe Cupid's magic can bring two lonely hearts together.

Cat gives this one 5 Meows...

Holidays at the Corral series is a fun and flirty stand-alone series. Each book is about a specific Holiday and a different couple.

Valentine's Day at the corral is about Scott and Gail. Gail has never been into Valentine's day. She has met some nice men at the Corral but just no one seems to stick. Scott is her new boss and they meet at a speed dating event at the Corral. Scott starts sending her cutesy candy, notes, and gifts to ask her out, but she is leery of hi, #1 he is her boss. #2 she finds out he may be selling and going back to New York.

The story is short, to the point, fun, funny, charming and an allover good sweet romance.
I listened to this on audio and I have to admit the narration was just OK. It was more like someone reading the book to me which isn't a bad thing as it frees my hand, but I like a bit more acting out and excitement in a narration.
