When US Marine Tyler Collins is injured in the line of duty and sent home, the first thing he does is to go see the girl he left behind. He wants peace and to escape from the memories of violence and war. Instead, what he finds might change his life forever.

Their time together was supposed to be a fun summer fling, but in the three years since Tyler's been gone, he's never far from Pam Foster's thoughts or heart, even though the last thing she did before he left was lie to him. She has to right the wrong, but can a man with such integrity and honor forgive her? Even when she hasn’t forgiven herself?

Is rekindled love enough, or will the secrets of the past ruin any hope of a future together?

This is a book in a series but stands alone just fine. Most of the stories are featuring different couples, different holidays but the setting is the Corral, a bar/restaurant.  All of these stories are short and sweet with a touch of spice. I think I have listened to most of them and this one is my favorite so far.

Tyler is a Marine and was hurt in action. He has thought about Pam ever since he left but now wants to see if she is single and interested in rekindling what they had.

Pam has never forgotten Tyler. When he shows up at the Corral she is torn in sharing a secret that could either reunite them or ruin any hope they ever had.

If you like second chances, heroes, Military men, secret babies, and a sweet short story this is for you.
