Vampires slaughtered my family. No one believed me until I met some new friends, who promised to help me get justice.

But nothing prepared me for Marcus Varik. Tall, dark, and mind-numbingly sexy. But he’s also shy, protective, and adorably eccentric.

Oh God, I should have never agreed to betray him. Hopefully, it's not too late to fix my mistake before I lose more people I love.

Claiming Marcus is the first book in an MM paranormal romance series that has vampires, betrayal, annoying brothers, music, heartbreak, hope, sexy times, and a raven named Ozzie.

Cat gives this one 5 Meows overall with a 2 Purr heat index...

If you’ve been looking for a good MM Vampire story, look no more. This is a book one in a series and does have quite a bit of backstory especially at the beginning, plus build-up for the series but it is very well done and keeps you pulled into the story.

I adored Marcus and Ethan. Ethan is a human with spunk and in the beginning, is going for what he thinks is revenge until he meets Marcus and his brothers and realizes they are not the vampires he is looking for but now it's too late and he has brought danger to Marcus’ doorstep but can he save him?

I loved this story and it kept me turning the page (well in my case listening. I did it all in one afternoon.) There is lots of action and the romance is a slow burn but so good.

Kenneth Obi gives each character distinguishable voices and each voice tells you of the character's personality. You can hear the soft but determination in Ethan. The strength and protectiveness in Marcus and the cackle in the evil vampire lady is amazing. His narration keeps you absorbed in the story and you forget all about the boring tasks you are doing.

New York Times Bestselling author Jocelynn Drake loves a good story, whether she is reading it or writing one of her own. Over the years, her stories have allowed her to explore space, talk to dragons, dodge bullets with assassins, hang with vampires, and fall in love again and again. This former Kentucky girl has moved up, down, and across the U.S. with her husband. Recently, they’ve settled near the Rockies. When she is not hammering away at her keyboard or curled up with a book, she can be found cuddling her cat Demona, walking her dog Ace, or playing video games. She loves Bruce Wayne, Ezio Auditore, travel, tattoos, explosions, and fast cars. She is the author of the urban fantasy series: The Dark Days series and the Asylum Tales. She has just completed a gay romantic suspense series called The Exit Strategy about two assassins falling in love and trying to create a life together. Her newest project returns to her vampire roots with a new MM paranormal romance series.
