Camilla Black isn’t what she seems. On the outside she is a well dressed fashion editor at Couture Magazine. She wears only designer clothes, designer jewelry and designer bags and shoes. She has a few select friends but nothing like a best friend. She had three lovers one an actor out of the country, one a rough and tumble personal trainer and the other a beautiful student that is her polar opposite. It was odd seeing Camilla with Vanessa, but it fit. 

All this is a mask that hides the real evil inside.  

Yes, our main character is a serial killer, and we know it from the start. We watch her kill. 

We only get good looks at a few characters. Some of these are the bad people she kills, her Lover Abay, her lover Vanessa, her assistant and Camilla herself, oh and a detective as well. These characters are interesting and it’s important to see inside the bad people, to see why she kills them.

Camilla herself is a fabulous, unique, well imagined character. The story is fast paced as we follow through Camilla's life.

The only thing I didn’t like was way too much detail to small stuff like everything she wears every time she changes. That’s a lot. It describes designers, colors, everything in great detail for her and all characters. A time or two I understood because it was showing her change from her life growing up but soon became overkill. Pun intended. 

However, the story is absolutely amazing. Dark, unique, shocking with a surprise ending. It’s a good author that can make you like the bad guy… or is she? 

Zoe Rosi has a background in journalism and copywriting. She worked as a reporter for local and national newspapers before moving into the fashion industry as a copywriter. Zoe had four romantic comedies published before writing her debut thriller. It was while working as a fashion copywriter that Zoe had the idea for Pretty Evil, which she describes as The Devil Wears Prada meets American Psycho.
