Hi Y’all! Come in and grab something from the chef’s banquette table and a cold drink while I tell you about this book I just read.
The title is Crowning Hope by Erin Brockus it is book 8 in The Half Moon Bay series. You should read in order to fully understand what’s going on.
The cover is pretty and goes well with the title. Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because “when disaster strikes the couple is torn apart. Seperated”. I’ve been following this series from the beginning and this got me. What’s going to happen with Alex and Hope? They seem like such a perfect couple, I just have to know.
There are possible trigger warnings mentioned so if claustrophobic situations bother you, skip this one or read with caution.
Who’s my favorite main character? Both Alex and Hope. Hope is such a strong woman and sweet but Alex is like the perfect wounded soldier.
The story has 2 main settings, the resort and the cavern area, both sound so beautiful it makes me want to visit.
The story is a tropical island romance. There is some action and drama with a huge twist. I was really on the edge of my seat for a bit there.
I loved the ending, it was an HEA and the end of this series. I do hate seeing it end but maybe we will get cameos in the next series. One of the characters, April, is getting a book and I cannot wait to see.
How hot was the book? There is great sexual chemistry between Alex and Hope but not a lot of on page sex.
If you like great ocean strings, divemasters, ex- military men, strong female leads, established couples, drama and a great all over romance you will love this.
