Cat's Review of Resting Beach Face (Swallow Cove book 4) by DJ Jamison @author_dj_jamison @neonrainbowarcreviews @tammystwocents X- @DJ_Jamison_ @TTCBooksandmore

He could have anyone he wants...so why is he so interested in me?

Cash is a gorgeous chaotic bi guy with a reputation for getting around. And me? I'm the antisocial grump, closed off and lonely.

We should be like oil and water. They say opposites attract, but when you're graysexual, that equation doesn't balance out.

Or does it?

When Cash gets close, my defenses begin to crumble one by one. Each warm smile, each friendly gesture or hug makes me realize what I'm missing.

Cash's sunny warmth is like a ray of light breaking through the clouds. I can't help but soak it up.

But can I really trust the town player to keep my heart safe when no one else ever has?

Resting Beach Face is Book 4 of Swallow Cove. It includes grumpy/sunshine and forced proximity tropes, a quirky lake town, and gray ace rep.

Cat gives this book 5 meows with a 3 purr heat index...

I say you should read in order since characters recurring but you could probably get by on its own since it's well written.

I simply loved Declan. Though I've loved Cash through all the books. He was kind of the underdog but his story really shined. I found Declan so relatable and loved learning about Ace.

The story is interesting and the hint of mystery about the vandals adds a bit more to the story.
If you like age gap (yes please) grumpy/sunshine (yes please) and a good slow burn (yes, yes please) you will love this oh and touch of humor.

She spent a lifetime reading before that and continues to avidly devour her fellow authors’ books each night. She lives in Kansas with her husband, two sons, one snake, and a sadistic cat named Birdie.
