Cat gives this Audiobook collection 5 Meows for the story, 5 Meows for the performances, so 5 Meows overall...
Prequel True Knight 0.5
I loved the chronicles before each chapter. It was a hoot!
The characters are interesting and the story kept you wanting more. I listened in one sitting.
The narration I loved but John Solo is top of my list of narrators. He has good voices for each character. Good infliction of scenes. Good pacing and a calming, seductive voice. Will listen again. Now I’m on to book One!
True Mate Book 1
This is the first actual book in the series but I suggest reading True Knight the prequel. This one picks up from there and things happen in that you need to know about. You do need to read in order, at least these two books so far.
I love the characters. There’s so many and each add so much to the story. Though the romance is Vincent snd Rome and oh so sexy.
The plot is interesting well actually are several and I’ll let you read to see what they are.
I will say there are werewolves, ghosts, witches , mediums and oh so many other types of shifters. Plus the chapter. Break of the Prosper Woods Chronicles is hilarious!
The narration is fabulous but I’ve always been a fan of John Solo. Some people complain about him being a bit slow but that doesn’t bother me… I like I don’t have to struggle to keep up. Plus you can easily adjust speed if necessary. I love his dialects for each character making them easy to figure who is who and you can even tell the bad guys. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of how he made Greg and Sam’s voices a bit ‘slow’ but it worked out in the long run with one heck of a twist.
I highly recommend this series if you love paranormal, suspense, snd romance
True Blue Book 2
What did I think of the cover? I love it.
Did it inspire me to look at blurb? Yes.
Did the blurb entice me into reading the book? Oh yes. I was ready to dive in.
What made me choose this book? I love this author but paranormal? Oh yes just as good as her other books.
Are there trigger warnings? Could be mentions of child abuse, pedophiles (this is off page and just mentioned) violence.
Is this part of a series? Yes this is book 2
If so does it need read in order? I would suggest so but you may could understand without but it is recurring characters the main story is resolved, relationships grow, and it’s a sort of cliff hanger leading to next book.
Who’s my favorite character? That’s a hard question. There is so many characters all are good. I love both main characters and the two new wolfs are interesting but I think my favorite is Sid the witch. He’s always popping up kinda witty and sorta saving the day.
What did I like best? Everything but I think the part with Greg and Sam (you will have to read to see what I’m talking about) but poor Greg is just clueless.
Was there something I didn’t like? No
What would have made that better? I can’t think of anything
What made the book interesting? I love the chronicle tidbits that open each chapter. They are hilarious!
Was there an HEA? More HFN as I believe this is an ongoing story and the relationship grows.
How hot was the book? 4 purrs
The narration really makes this book and series. The voices are clear for each character, good pacing, inflection just all over picks up the story a level. I recommend if you do audio to get this series.
Who do I recommend this to? If you love vampires, werewolves, ghosts, shifters of all kinds (even hummingbirds) unicorns, a touch of humor, a good suspense and a hot romance with an established couple this is for you oh and twists.
True Prince Book 3
Hi Y’all! Come in and grab a sweet and a cold drink while I tell you about this book I just listened to.
The title is True Prince it is book 3 in …The Prosper Woods Chronicles series. You should read or listen in order.
The cover is very pretty and goes well with the title. Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because we met Hannibal at the end of the last book. Plus Sergio’s view is in the blurb and I had to see what he was up to.
Who’s my favorite main character ? It’s so hard to choose a favorite so I’ll say both Vincent and Rome. But you gotta love all the side characters too especially Hannibal.
The story has a few settings. But the woods is the main one.
The story is a PNR with every shifter you can imagine. There is humor and so many twists.
I loved the ending. It was a cliffhanger but I myself like continuing series and love a good cliffhanger it just makes me want the next book! Bring it on!
How hot was the book? A 4, scorching.
Who do I recommend this book to? if you like shifters, established couples, witches, magic, vampires ongoing stories, twist, a romance with heat you will love this!
I do recommend the audio version. The narration just gets better with each book
Pacing is good, voices are great it just elevates a good story.
