This is book 9 in the series and best if read in order. It follows a committed couple, but each book plot does conclude in each book however there is also ongoing series plot that goes along with being the Anax of all werewolves.
This book is in Kyle's perspective. You can tell if you've read a few by the cover.
Tobias is still battling being the Anax the most powerful wolf in the entire United States. Some of the other wolves don't like it that he has a male mate. Kyle is hanging in there, but he's no dominate wolf or pushover and he's really struggling with his feelings.
So if you love Werewolves and want a really good , but unique twist on the genre...grab this series. Yes, its true there are vegan werewolves... well only one. This story is heavy in fabulous, interesting characters, intriguing plots, a dab of mystery and suspense... lots of romance and feels.
Warning I read it in a day... did not want to put down. All you shifter lovers give this series a go.
