Excerpt from Tempted by the Storm...

There was only one word that could describe the creature
standing before him. Wonderful.
“Did you say something?” the woman whispered.
He shook his head. “Nothing, I just can’t believe my luck. You
really are real and here with me.”
She smiled, but her smile didn’t extend to her eyes.
Before another heartbeat passed or another breath taken, he
stood at her side. With tenderness, he gazed into her gentle,
masked face and took both of her hands in his. He was humbled
as her fingers trembled even more than his own did. “We don’t
have to do this if you’d rather not.”
She smiled wider, and her eyes gleamed with mischief. “I
suppose we might as well. After all, we’re already here, and
you’re at least halfway undressed.”
Sliding his hands up her arms and around her shoulders to her
back, Sarco felt for and found the clasps holding her gown
together. With the flick of a wrist, they gave way, and with a
swish, the silky fabric fell to her hips exposing lush, rose-tipped
breasts. Just the right size to hold in both hands, to fondle, to
caress, to taste.
“Hmm, it seems you’re halfway undressed yourself.”

Genesis Queen Blog Tour Spotlight, Excerpt and Giveaway.

Genesis Queen, Book 3 in ROAD TO HELL series

Coming December 18, 2012 to Decadent Publishing and online e-book stores

Victory is hollow when fate maneuvers one as a pawn.
Madison’s mission is complete. Nix is rescued from Hell and her son safe from his dark destiny.
But in the safe harbor of Nix’s love, her demonic husband warns of a murderous plot. Can she
trust that it’s the truth and not another scheme to claim her for Hell’s throne?

Sometimes internal struggles can house our biggest demons.

With allies divided and prophecy heralding defeat, Madison gambles on Micah’s tenuous honor
to keep their son protected. Torn between her heart’s desires and her dark requirements,
Madison worries her hellish fate cannot be avoided. When betrayal comes from an unlikely
direction, all their futures may be damned. In the darkest hour of Madison’s life, an undeniable
providence will transpire. Who can she trust? And how far will she fall to defeat her foes?
Amid the rubble of defeat will Hell’s Genesis Queen dawn?

Genesis Queen Excerpt:

Nix located Mads in the kitchen. Bacon sizzled in the frying pan and grits were on a
slow boil in a pot on the stove. She beat up a batch of pancake mix; at least he thought
that was what she whipped up.
“How can you cook at a time like this?”
She did the most normal things at the weirdest moments.
“I’m not convinced this isn’t one of Micah’s attempts to bring me to heel.” She set the
bowl aside and pulled out a griddle. “And cooking soothes me.”
God knew he loved her food. His belly grumbled in agreement. The way she moved as
she prepared food was a thing of beauty, too. Watching her calmed him.
He handed over the photo Amos had drawn.
She wiped her hands on a kitchen towel before grasping the picture. After a long
moment, she canted her face toward him. “What’s this?”
“Amos had a vision. Went glowy-eyed. That”—he nodded at the paper in her hand—
“is the man he says is behind the attack.”
“An angel.” No question. A stated fact. Mads blew out a breath and leaned against
the counter behind her. “He and Georgie hadn’t seen before….” She rubbed her eyes. “I
thought Micah was lying. Like always.”
“He rarely lies.” The angel was painfully honest more often than not. It hurt to admit
that even to himself. He wanted her to think of her husband as an unfeeling monster,
but Nix’s relationship with Mads would always be built on honesty.
Her head snapped back. “Don’t defend him.”
“I’m not.” Not really, just stating the truth. He strode around the island and stepped
in front of her. “We need him to help protect you both.”
“Mads, baby….” He settled his weight against her. She adjusted her stance, widening
her stride and granting him space between her thighs. His fingers slid through her hair,
as her hands settled on his hips, her thumbs anchoring in his belt-loops. “I want you two
as safe as I can get you. If accepting that bastard’s aid is going to keep you breathing,
then we need it.”

Guest post and Giveaway with author Sandrine Gasq-Dion

*warning these books are M/M erotica that contain adult content and lots of hot sex!*

Gasq-Dion has created a unique world with her Assassins/Shifters series that should appeal to any reader that likes sexy men; wether they are holding a rifle or sporting fangs these men rock!  Each story centers on a specific couple aside from Passion and Reflash, these two stories center on two sets of brothers and then on two sets of best friends.  Regardless, with every book you get to visit with all your favorite characters as they all make an appearance somewhere along the way.

My favorite coupling would be Preston and Wyatt.  You first meet them in book 3 when they realize they are mated.  The problem, Wyatt is only 6 years old.  He doesn't under stand the concept of mating in it's entirety he only knows that the beautiful white wolf saved him, he smells really good and he's drawn to him. Over the years and throughout the next several books you get tid bits of the pair, where they are, how they are growing up and that Preston will wait for Wyatt forever if he has to.  We finally get their story in book 9, Ignited Passion.

I loved all these books, they are all well writin and engaging bringing you into this strange world of Assassins, Werewolves, the Russian Mob and some heartache along the way.  The depth and realism to the characters was a definite plus, and the sex scenes are off the charts, god almighty HOT!!

Book 1 A Marked Man
Book 2 Alaska with Love
Book 3 By the light of the Moon
Book 4 Half Moon Rising

Book 8 Russian Prey

Book 10 Reflash

Sandrine (Sandy) Was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by "Old School" French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn't until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research. She's been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She's traveled the world, but is currently enjoying the South.

So I wanted to ask Gasq-Dion a million questions about her series but, I settled with this..
How did you come up with the concept of the Assassins/Shifters series?  And how do you keep it fresh from one book to the next?? (giveaway details to follow)

·         The assassin part of the stories was a given from the get-go. I've spent so many years in the military lifestyle, there is nothing else I would of written about first. Delta Force, SEAL's, Ranger's and Infantryman are just SOME of the men that make up our fighting forces. Putting Branches aside, (You have to, they all think they're the best, lol) They all play an integral part of watching the U.S. of A's ass and a key role in trying to bring peace in other regions. I wanted something different, men who did a job that no one else wanted to do, a job that the Government had to look the other way and put one man in charge of the whole operation. James Pruitt (now Jacobs) became that man, with General Jacobs pulling back up. The Skull Blaster's came to be known as the army of darkness. "Death comes with a new Terror". I've been lucky enough to be in the company of many of our fighting men, and have spent countless hours listening to their stories of their battles overseas. They play a role of my "Advisers" in a lot of the books.  I was writing when I was younger, mostly love stories (The hetero kind. Oh the horror, lol) for my friends. I got into the male/male after falling in love with two characters on a soap. Thus began my writing of male/male romances.
The werewolves came later. An editor at a publishing house told me that Vamps and Werewolves were the "In" thing at the time. Well, not a big vamp fan, (Don't kill me Edward lovers) I knew I might be able to pull off the werewolf aspect though. I wanted that to be different too. So I came up with one line of werewolf that had been created by the Gods- Wayne Maccon. Dakota Cadotte (Now Waters) was the first werewolf to be introduced at the end of book two. I wanted the werewolves intertwined with the Skull Blaster assassins- so Sam, meet Dakota. With the front end of your truck. (lol)
Keeping things fresh has been interesting. I think that's why I'm so glad I self-publish. There's no time stamp for me to release a new book, so I'm free to take my time. I already had four books written out when "A Marked Man" was released, so I had that added benefit of time. I'm also lucky enough to have a very good memory and I usually jot things down after BBQ's with the military guys I hang out with. My mind works constantly and it's not odd for me to have several WORD documents open at once. As soon as I think of something for one story, I'm typing it in, then going back to my other document. As long as I have friends in the military and an active imagination, the story lines will keep coming.
The next chapter in this series begins with "The Santorno Stories" Which brings Damon Santorno's son, Stefan, into the mix with his husband Jordan Youngblood. These stories begin in the past, and move until they are caught up with the Assassin/Shifters. These stories introduce all the characters from Vince Markov's lovely band of killers. You can expect quite a few of those.
I hope to bring many, many more of these stories. I have to say, having a job I love and can do from home, makes my life easier. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Gasq-Dion has offered up goodies for four winners!

* New Release * Battered Not Broken by Ranae Rose, exclusive excerpt.

After being wounded in war and discharged from the USMC, Ryan Moore turns
to competitive MMA fighting – the one arena in life where he still knows
how to function and excel – and meets Ally Rivera, an amateur female
fighter who’s struggling to salvage a family torn apart by gang violence.

Battered Not Broken is a full-length novel of approximately 110,000 words.

Ranae Rose is a best-selling author of over a dozen contemporary, paranormal and historical romances, all of them delightfully steamy. She lives on the US East Coast with her family, dogs and horses and spends most of her time letting her very active imagination run wild, penning her next story. When she's not writing, she can usually be found in the saddle or behind a good book with a cup of tea.

You can find out more about Ranae and her books, including Battered Not Broken, at..

Here is an excerpt from Battered not Broken....

Ally started toward the door, her heart maintaining a rushed tempo. Her pulse had sped
when she’d heard of Melissa’s near miss, and the mention of Ryan Moore’s role as her rescuer
hadn’t done anything to ease it.
Her heart had fallen somewhere into the cavernous pit of guilt her stomach had become.
Ryan would never know that she’d considered that he might harm Melissa, but the knowledge
of just how wrong she’d been during those moments of suspicion stung. She owed him. Not just
because he’d rescued her friend, but because she’d seriously misjudged him.
The night was colder than she remembered it being when she and her mother had walked
to Annalisa’s. She quickly scanned the sidewalk for any sign of a tall male. Her heart slammed
against her ribs when she spotted such a silhouette about two blocks away. Much like earlier that
day at the gym, she simply knew it was him.
She started in his direction at a light jog. “Hey,” she called when she’d halfway caught up to
him.
He turned to face her. Somehow, his eyes were bright despite the fact that the evening light
was dull. “Hey.”
His monosyllabic reply sent a wave of satisfaction through Ally. Tall, fit and graceful body
– check. Blue eyes – check. Voice that set her nerves on edge, in a good way – check. She was
definitely approaching Ryan Moore.
“Melissa told me what happened.” She cut to the chase. “Thank you.” Her words became
mist that hung in a cloud in front of her lips, heating the air as the full force of his gaze sent
unexplainable warmth shimmering over every inch of her skin. “Why don’t you come inside for
dinner?”
His lips quirked in a half-grin. “Are you asking me on a date?”
“No.” She threw the word out there like she might have shot out a hand to parry a blow. “It’s
not like that. I mean, dinner is on the house – it’s the least anyone can do. You might’ve saved
Melissa’s life.” Melissa was tough and might have survived whatever the two strange men had
planned for her, but even then she probably wouldn’t have come away unscathed.
He took half a step toward her, his gaze still locked with hers. The way his blue eyes shone
was crazy – streetlights didn’t flatter anyone like that. Except for him. “Ally Rivera,” he said, all
traces of his recent grin gone from his mouth, “if I sit down and have dinner with you, it’s going
to be a date. So if that’s not what you’re offering, I’m going to have to say no thanks.”
The next breath of air Ally drew seemed too cold – it froze inside her lungs, turning her
tongue into a useless weight in her mouth. She exhaled, but no words came out – only mist that
billowed in the space between her and Ryan, nearly touching his chest, over which he’d zipped a
plain black jacket. Several minutes passed before she regained the ability to speak. “I’m twenty-
three. That’s a little too old to go on a date with a parental chaperone, don’t you think?”
“Ah,” Ryan said, “you’re spending the evening with your mother again?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s fine. I’d be happy to take a rain check from you. Have any nights coming up this
week that you were planning to spend alone?” The way he said the word ‘alone’ made it sound
like a curse word – one so bad it should be erased from her vocabulary forever.
She nodded. “Pick any night this week and it’s yours.” After all, she owed him. That was
what she kept telling herself as her heart sped at the thought of spending an evening with him.
“Thursday.”
“Okay.”
“Think about what time you want me to pick you up. Then let me know next time you see
me at the gym.”
“Okay. And hey…” A coherent thought actually managed to penetrate the haze he’d reduced
her mind to. “How’d you know my last name?”
“It’s written on your gym bag,” he said, his grin returning.
He bid her goodnight and she stood frozen for several moments, watching him disappear.
He moved with the same grace he harnessed in the ring. Did the same sureness and ease of
movement flow in everything he did with that perfect body? The thought hit Ally like a physical
blow – one that sped past her defenses and crumbled her former resolve not to be swept off her
feet by a stranger, even a gorgeous one. She might not know where he was from, or what his
tattoos said, but by rescuing Melissa, he’d given her a huge reason to trust him. And it had been a
long time since any man had done that.

Congrats on your new release Ranae Rose, I look forward to reading it!

Guest post with author Carrie Arcos...........

Greatest thing you learned at school:

I was one of those who excelled at school and who loved learning. I took advanced classes and
loved the challenge. I was also very involved in sports and student government. I guess the
greatest thing I learned had to deal with leadership. How to lead a group, how to actually get
people to follow you, how to care for others. I was a team captain for both the Cross Country
and Track teams and felt a great deal of responsibility toward my teammates and my coaches. I
learned how to read people and how you can talk to one person one way to motivate him, but you
may need to speak to another person in an entirely different manner. I know there were all kinds
of things academically that I learned, but the hard and fruitful lessons in leadership have stayed
with me much longer.

Excerpt from Out of Reach:

“The funny thing about a lie is that once it has been said and believed, it lives and becomes.
It can’t be taken back. It sucks all the air from you until you give up and it takes over and you
forget how to breathe on your own. It’s like those parasitic relationships, but not like the shark
and the little remora that politely cleans the shark’s skin and sometimes attaches itself to its
underbelly. No, it is more like a tapeworm eating someone from the inside out.”

Guest post, Review & Giveaway. Other Side of Forever by Shannon Eckrich.

Seventeen-year-old Allie Anderson's telekinetic powers are anything but useful--she can't bring her father back, can't stop her mother's downward spiral into alcohol, and can't keep her from falling in love with Ethan Bradley. Loving Ethan is easy, but it comes with a hefty price: Ethan is prohibited by his people from interacting with mortals--because he isn't mortal himself. When Allie and Ethan's love is discovered, there's someone who will do anything to keep them apart. If Allie can't learn to control her powers and fight to save Ethan, this dark entity will make every attempt to stop her beating heart. And if that happens, not even the energy of an immortal can bring her back.

This is the debut novel for Eckrich and it did not disappoint. With an engaging storyline and relatable characters this one is a page turner. Equal parts action, intrigue, mystery and romance to keep you reading and leave you wanting more in the end.

Allie Anderson is telekinetic; abandoned by her father when she was young and her mother is an alcoholic that has abandoned her as well. Ethan Bradley is gorgeous and totally into Allie, just his touch seems to have a calming affect on her. He also happens to be immortal, and a relationship with Allie who is human is forbidden. As the bullying Allie has endured for years escalates, Ethan is there to protect her, but then he pushes her away every chance he gets.

Unable to stay away Ethan finally succumbs to his love for Allie, and just as these two are coming together a darker entity will try to tear them apart. Allie will have to learn to control her ability if she's going to not only save Ethan, but her on life as well.

There isn't really an ending to this book, with so many unanswered questions I'm anxious for a sequel. I give this one 4/5, but that's just my two cents.

Guest Post with Author Shannon Eckrich...

Hey, everyone!
I’m Shannon Eckrich, YA paranormal author, and I secretly hacked into Tammy’s blog today.
Okay, so I didn’t really hack into her blog. She actually invited me here, but it did sound pretty cool,
right?
Today I’m going to give you a behind-the-scenes look at my publishing experience with Other Side of
Forever, a powerful and passionate, forbidden love story about a mortal teen who falls in love with an
immortal.

I know, most of you are probably rolling your eyes and mumbling, “Not another novel about immortals.”
And with all the vampire and immortal novels out there (which most are very good), I don’t blame you
one bit. But Other Side of Forever is different, unique. Not only do my immortals possess some really
awesome powers, but they also have the ability to open portals. I mean, how cool would that be?

So, let’s get started!

I’m not going to lie, when I first decided to sit down with the laptop and create Allie and Ethan’s story,
I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t have any college degrees, and I didn’t take any creative writing
courses. In fact, I was pushed out of high school and into night school at the age of 15, where I ended up
receiving my GED. The only great thing I had going for me was my love for books.

Like so many other first time writers, the first draft of Other Side of Forever was a disaster. I took every
single idea I had in my head and tossed it into the manuscript. The story wasn’t even called Other Side of
Forever in the beginning. My original name for the story was Eternal Sunrise, which sounds kind of lame
to me now that I think about it.

Without realizing how awful my manuscript was, I queried about twenty agents. All of them rejected
me.

It took me a few months after joining writing and critique groups to realize what a mess my manuscript
really was. So, I set out to correct it. I rewrote my novel a couple of times and sent it out to some really
good friends I met through the writing websites and queried a few more agents. My friends liked it,
but they also let me know where my weakness was when writing the novel. Obviously, grammar and
punctuation wasn’t one of my strengths since I only had a GED, and I had to work on structure. The
agents, on the other hand, rejected me again.

Since I didn’t have the money to take any classes, I picked up some of my favorite fiction books and a
few grammar books. By the way, the grammar books did nothing but confuse me. But, the fiction books,
helped more than I imagined. By reading, I learned about character development, plot, and structure. It
really is amazing what reading can do.

I rewrote my novel a couple more times, added in some history so Ethan would have a believable
background, and then sent it out to a few more beta readers and queried another handful of agents. The
agents that did respond, rejected me, but I received more feedback from my beta readers, which was
getting better and better each time, but my novel was still missing something. A voice.
Okay, so I’m not the smartest apple in the bunch, but what the heck was a voice in a novel, I wondered.
Of course, this was something I had to Google.

In the meantime, one of the most wonderful men in my life, my grandfather, had fallen ill. His illness
caused me to drop everything. I went to visit him in the hospital, and we talked for a little while about
general stuff and a little about my book. And even though he didn’t look well, his spirits were high. He
told me that he had lived his life, and he was ready to move on. I, on the other hand, wasn’t ready.
A week after my visit, my husband came home from work and told me my mother had called him (I
didn’t have a phone at the time) and told him my grandfather had passed. I was devastated.

About a few weeks after the funeral, I picked up my manuscript and read it. Since I hadn’t looked at it
in a while, I discovered I wasn’t as attached to the characters, which made it really easy to make the
corrections I needed. And, somewhere along the lines, I discovered my true voice. Allie and Ethan’s story
had finally come alive. The only thing left was the title. Eternal Sunrise just didn’t fit. After tossing some
ideas around, I realized that poor Allie, who is a mortal, is actually standing on the other side of forever
when Ethan is taken away from her. I felt that Other Side of Forever would be the perfect title for my
novel. And, in a way, it describes where I stand with my grandfather. I believe the spirit and the soul of a
person lives forever, and I’m now standing on the other side of my forever.
After I finished the final edits, I sent out only two query letters (yes, rejections were really starting to
frustrate me), one to an agent and one to Crescent Moon Press. Crescent Moon Press contacted me
within 24 hours requesting the full manuscript. I guess I would say the rest is history.

The only wish I have, is that my grandfather was here to see the novel he always asked about become a
reality.
So, for all of you aspiring novelists out there, if you really want to get published, my advice to you is to
never give up. You don’t need any special degrees or courses to write a good novel, you just need a lot
of patience and determination.
Now, let’s get to the fun stuff!

Since it’s the holiday season, I’m going to give away two, yes two, Ebook copies of Other Side of Forever.
