This is Brooklyn Blades book 2 but stands alone fine, however you have a better understanding of Rip and Denis relationship and a few other things mentioned if you read the first.
Things I loved, all the characters...
I loved that Denis is arrogant, but you can see he is hiding something, like built walls.
I loved that I could just hear that sexy accent.
I loved Sterling and that he too is pretty arrogant instead of opposites attract seems like same's attract.
There was just something about the chemistry between the two that is swoon worthy.
I loved the storyline and how Denis goes after Sterling.
Theres great characters, great plot, just enough steam, a bit of slow burn, some good hockey action, lots of romance and as expected from Felice Stevens, all the feels. I highly recommend.
Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. She believes that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending around the corner. Her characters have to work for it, because just like life in NYC, nothing comes easy and that includes love.
