A vicious serial killer is on the loose in Wisconsin and it's up to the Admiral's Elite to stop him. Admiral Black's second in command, Captain Michael Rossi, has been tasked with finding out who or what the killer is and put an end to his reign of
bloodshed while avoiding some pitfalls of his own. Like hiding the fact that he's falling in love with Becca from the admiral who would be sure to use it against them. Ghosts from Gabrielle's past threaten her place with her unit and Ryan's bed.
Local police are puzzled and the town is terrified. The Admiral's Elite must find a killer, stop him without anyone finding out their true identities, and not be torn apart in the process.
My review:
The highly anticipated sequel to Second Sight throws us right back into the action with Becca and Michael (aka Captain Yummy!) along with Gabby and Ryan when they are called to Wisconsin to catch a serial killer. Admiral Black's elite team of vampire, werewolves and a force of nature that holds the powers of premonition are the only hope of catching whoever, or whatever, it is that's wreaking havoc.
It's getting harder for Michael to hide his growing love for Becca from the admiral though. That coupled with something troubling from Gabby's past and Becca's inability to control her powers as of late put not only their mission, but their lives at stake. Will the admiral's motley crew be able to stop the killer? Or will personal demons and emotions stop them from completing the mission?
Action packed and emotionally charged, Into the Light does not disappoint. Savage has yet another hit on her hands! She has taken the ages old story of good vs evil and given it her own PNR twist. And as if we could like Admiral Black (whom I've nicknamed Sir Jackass!) any less, he goes above and beyond normal dislike in this book. There was a skoch bit of angst with this book that I didn't much care for, but overall I loved the storyline and character development. We delve deeper into the inner workings of all four as a team, but we also delve into their personal relationships as well.
I give this one 4.5/5 stars and I highly recommend this series to any fans of the paranormal, romance, vampires, werewolves and mystery reads.
Author bio: HK Savage has been a voracious reader of anything she could get her hands on going back to the second grade when she would set her alarm two hours early to read before school. Her passion for the written word has continued and flowed into writing going back nearly as far. Her books have fans in twenty countries on six continents with hopes of attracting attention on Antarctica if for no other reason than to check a box.
Currently, HK is a mother, wife and black belt in Karate as well as an avid dressage rider. Her three dogs: a Doberman puppy and two ancient Doxies keep her busy when she is not writing or working. HK has been an editor for several newsletters over the years, her favorite being for Heifer International where her ideas were put into effect and
complimented by those on high. Currently her editing skills, honed for nearly a decade in advertising media, have been focused on her peers and clients in the writing world as Founder and Editor in Chief of Staccato Publishing and
new digital imprint, Darkest Night Publishing. Paranormal is a favorite genre as well as science fiction and the possibilities we have not yet realized. Her favorite premise: "what if?"

What songs are on my Playlist? Well,
I do have to listen to music pretty much all the time. My writing playlist is
also my walking playlist (I use another for my running list) because that is
when I get myself “in the mood” to write.
There are over
300 songs on that list so I’ll give you some of my faves:
Snow Patrol’s
entire 100 Million Stars cd was what started The Empath Trilogy. Since then I
still listen to it as well as Great Big Sea and Young Dubliners routinely but
have added some others. Some of my faves for action scenes are Sleigh Bells
Kids and
Rill Rill. Otherwise,
generally I like :
Radioactive by
Imagine Dragons
Safe and Sound
by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars
This Isn’t
Everything You Are by Snow Patrol
Sex on Fire by
Kings of Leon
Love the Way
You Lie by Eminem
Evanescence-
anything with Amy Lee really
Never Say Never
by The Fray
Bad Things by
Jace Everett
And several
Kasabian songs
A huge thank you to HK Savage for allowing us to host her tour!
You absolutely rock, Tam! This was an amazing tour and my head is just spinning. What a great group of people you put together. I can't thank you and Jess enough for what you did and I really loved doing some different stuff. Music and cast? Loved it! Thank you, thank you!
