The Queen of Swoon has done it again! No one else can describe a kiss with such perfection. I was very pleased that Boring tied up some loose ends and created another teaser to keep us aching for the next installment in Mason and Darcy's story. If you haven't read this series my only question is, why not? Boring deftly earns her title, romance fans rejoice!
Mason and Darcy’s Top Ten List
~ On Mystic Wolves Pack property, in Mason’s office ~
Darcy: So, Mason . . . looks like Tams is asking us to list our top ten things.
*looks over the instructions* Seems pretty straight forward.
Mason: Top ten what? Does it say?
Darcy: Umm, no. Just top ten. Do you think Tams wants our favorite things?
*staring, I wonder if I could list my favorite things about you*
Mason: I heard that, sweetheart. *tapping my temple to let you know I heard
your thoughts* If there’s no other instructions, maybe we should do that. You
take the first five and I’ll take the rest.
Darcy: Maybe I want to go last. Ever thought of that? *grins*
Mason: *cocking an eyebrow, I crook my finger, gesturing for you to come
closer* Seeing as I’m a gentleman, I’ll let the lady choose. *I wrap my arm loosely
around your waist as you sits on my lap* After you, Darcy.
Darcy: *clears throat dramatically, enjoying your attention on me* Well . . . let
me see. *Holding up my hand, I begin to count them off*
1. I LOVE the way you call me sweetheart. Like I’m the most precious person
in your world.
2. When you touch me, my stomach does flips flops and sometimes, I get
goose bumps. *To prove my point, I show you the slight bumps on my
arm* See!
3. I love that you listen to me. You value my opinion and never make me feel
stupid. It shows me we’re partners in all things. We may not always agree,
but you treat me like I matter. It’s extremely sexy!
4. I love how protective you are. I always feel safe—whether I’m in your arms,
or elsewhere. Knowing you’re there, wanting me safe and happy, means a
lot. It tells me I can trust and rely on you, always.
5. I love the way you look at me. You say so much with just your eyes, and I
know I’m loved.
Hmmm, maybe I should take ALL ten items. This is just the tip of the iceberg!
How can I sum up all my favorite things about you in such a small list? *sitting
across your lap, I stroke the side of your jawline with my fingers*
Mason: *grins widely* Look at the list, sweetheart. It says Darcy AND Mason.
We need to share. *unable to stop myself, I reach underneath the t-shirt you’re
wearing, needing to touch your soft skin*
1. My first favorite thing about you is how incredible you feel, smell, and
taste. *I chuckle low when your eyes widen* If I could, you would always
be within arms reach. Having you close not only comforts me, but my wolf.
You bring us balance.
2. Next, I love you for your loyalty and courage. You are one of the strongest
women I know. You proved that with going through the tests—facing each
one like a true warrior. Your strength keeps me strong.
3. *brushing my lips over yours* I love kissing you. You talk about a flip
flopping stomach . . . Darcy, it happens to me as well. Every time we
kiss, its like the world stops for that moment. There’s no drama, no Pack
business. Nothing but you and me.
4. I love watching you. *tilts your chin upward with my finger* Bet you didn’t
know that, huh? It doesn’t matter what you’re doing—reading, cooking,
talking, sleeping . . . whatever. You look so beautiful and content. It
reminds me of my ultimate favorite thing. What I’d have on the top of ANY
