Ember and Chase have been hiding out since the events that took place in Breaking Point {book 2 in this trilogy}, only to arrive at what they hoped would be their safe haven and find nothing but demolition. Being on the Bureau's most wanted list doesn't afford one any public displays of affections, so Ember and Chase continue to search for survivors and keep a low profile. When they finally find some survivors, they set out in search of Three. An infamous group of rebels that may be their only chance to survive and share their story with the world.

Ember and Chase have grown so much throughout this series. Personal growth both as individuals, and as a couple is what has set this series apart from other Dystopian YA novels that are similar. There is nothing these two won't do to survive and stay together. There is a lot of death and destruction they have to endure, and betrayal is a constant companion. In the end can these two find a safe haven for themselves and others like them that just want to live and not be under the thumb of the Bureau. And how many more people that we have come to know and love in this series will have to die for their pursuit of freedom?

I loved the first book in this series, but the second installment was a little taxing. It wasn't quite as fast paced and some of the characters seemed to move backwards instead of forward. But the events that took place in Breaking Point are what made Three possible, everything comes full circle in the end. This is an action packed, intense and gripping series that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. I mean I did not see some of the events that unfolded in this last installment coming, and I do love to be surprised when I'm reading. If you're a fan of dystopian, coming of age, making a difference and fighting for what you believe then this is a series for you.
