***** 5 Star Review *****

else’s whim. The tiger Omega has been protected and coddled from the outside
world, denied the one thing he wants more than anything: Gavin.
Gavin Jackson ran away from Pierce,
terrified of getting too attached, only to discover it was too late. Freshly
graduated, he’s been assigned as one of Pierce’s bodyguards when he is moved to
Smooth Rock Falls.
Now, someone is trying to kidnap Omegas,
and the two of them need to figure out who and why before their newly
re-kindled love is torn apart forever.

Fans of the series will know how protective The Smooth Rock Falls pack is over
their Omega, who is also their alpha’s mate, Quinn. With the addition of the
Omega Pierce from a Tiger Pride into their pack, some obstinate wolves are
continually trying to kidnap either Omega they can get their hands on. This
makes the pack uneasy, a lot of the shifters are on edge, but one thing is
certain. Whoever tries to take either Quinn or Pierce is going to have one hell
of a fight on their hands, if they survive long enough to shift.
Pierce Nevitt was taken from his family
when he was just a child to protect him. Omegas are rare and when their true
nature is revealed to their packs, they are protected above all others. But
what the Alpha and Elders see as protection, the Omegas see as a prison. There
was one solace in Pierce’s life growing up, Gavin. When Gavin’s father caught
them together, he sent Gavin away to college and urged his son to choose
another path for a mate. Gavin foolishly agreed and tried his best to find
another lover, but the shy, sexy Tiger Omega had already claimed Gavin’s heart.
Now that Gavin is one of Pierce’s
guards, he hopes to rekindle the fire that never really stopped burning between
him and Pierce. But Pierce wants nothing to do with him, or at least that is
how Pierce tries to make it seem. Mostly, Pierce doesn’t want to ever feel the
pain he felt the day he realized Gavin was trying to forget him again, it
almost killed him. He doesn’t think his heart would survive that kind of pain
again. Gavin is relentless though, he and his Tiger sense their mate, and the
innate need to protect Pierce. When someone close to the family puts Pierce’s
life in danger, Gavin will have to stay calm and rely on the assistance of the
pack to bring his mate back home, alive.
This book was full of emotion and
passion with a lot of action and suspense to keep the reader engaged and
anxious to turn the pages, to see what would happen next. Pierce and Gavin
shared a special kind of connection, it was almost like they actually started
the mate bond when they were teenagers, before they separated. The way they
were still drawn to each other and able to communicate through their minds
almost immediately, and both their Tiger’s were almost insane with the need to
claim. But Gavin has to show Pierce he’s in it for the long haul, that he won’t
up and leave again even if his father orders him to. Gavin has to prove his
love if Pierce is going to make the right choice.
What I enjoy most about this series is
that it is always a steady flowing continuation from one story to the next.
Each book centers around a specific couple, but all the characters and couples
are featured in all the books. So you get to see a new relationship form, while
watching the previous bonds grow stronger and friendships flourish. Definitely
a must read series, just be sure you start with book 1 if you haven’t read any
yet. This series must be read in order!
Series order:
* There are also two novellas in this series that Tyler is going to release this Holiday season!
