Detective Beau Williams is hard-working, dedicated,
and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy
caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no
time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake
him up a little.
Investigative Technician Austin Kent never met a
snarky joke he didn’t like - or a set of stairs that couldn’t trip him up. One
night after a devastating episode at work, Austin sees something else he likes
- the handsome detective he’s seen around the station whom he’s always wondered
about. But after he makes a drunken fool of himself in front of Detective
Williams, he’s sure there’s no hope.
Beau and Austin’s worlds collide right away when
Austin is sent to pick up some evidence at the station. Amidst a myriad of
twists and turns in the troubling serial killer style murders of Vegas
conventioneers, Austin and Beau discover that there’s more to the other than
they’d originally thought. There might even be more they’d like to give –
unless the killer has the final say.

Austin Kent works as an Investigative Tech for LVPD, in fact, he has recently been promoted. He has also recently lost his best friend when a warrant he was attempting to serve on said best friend turned into a dire situation. In an effort to at least mask the pain, even if only for the night, Austin finds his way to a favorite hangout and ties one on. Slightly inebriated and fuzzy, he sort of makes a fool of himself to the sexy, red haired cop he’s been crushing on for a while. Beau definitely takes on the persona of ‘Knight in Shining Armor’ taking Austin home, patching up his busted up elbow and not only talking to him, but seeing him.
Detective Beau Williams doesn’t want to like the charming and colorful guy that hides behind a shield of self deprecating humor. But Austin seems to keep landing in his line of sight and soon, Beau doesn’t want to let him leave. With a serial killer on the loose in Vegas, preying on unsuspecting conventioners, Beau has to split his time and attention between his budding romance with Austin and the job. As it turns out, Austin is way smarter than he leads people to believe. So smart in fact, he puts himself in the sights of a psychotic killer and Beau may not be there this time to save him when he falls.
Sin City Uniforms is the steamy, in more ways than one, series set on the crazy streets of the Las Vegas strip, littered by officers of the LVPD and LVFD as they navigate their way through work, love, friendship and life in the City that never sleeps. Beau and Austin have been in each other’s peripheral vision for a while, now that they’ve crashed into each other, neither one can walk away. Both are worried about repeating past mistakes, trusting anyone with their heart but Austin is truly a force of nature that blows his way through Beau’s mundane life.
Austin may seem like the proverbial ‘dumb blonde’ on the surface, he is a bit dense and a klutz, but he is intelligent, loyal and has a heart of gold. Beau feels fiercely protective of Austin from the start, he makes it his goal to show Austin how wonderful he is and stop the man from constantly putting himself down. The two find common ground built on a foundation of love, trust and communication.
Action packed and fast paced with a suspenseful storyline and probably the most disgusting fetish murderer I’ve ever read about. Think campy, creepy, skin crawling, bad B-movie plot and that is what you learn is the killer’s mantra. Very inventive though! And the romance between Beau and Austin is equal parts smexy and passionate. Definitely an entertaining read with a bit of mystery and suspense.
M/M Erotic Romance
author Morticia Knight enjoys hot stories of men loving men forever after. They
can be men in uniform, Doms and subs, rock stars or bikers - but they're all
searching for the one (or two!) who was meant only for them.
When not indulging in
her passion for books, she loves the outdoors, film and music. Once upon a time
she was the singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted
on U.S. college radio. She is currently working on more installments of Sin
City Uniforms and The Hampton Road Club, as well as the follow-up to Bryan and
Aubrey's story from Rockin' the Alternative.

Beau laid his hand on Austin’s shoulder in an attempt to guide him out of the bar. Austin
stumbled, Beau grasping his upper arm to keep him from falling over. He wanted to make
sure his colleague made it home okay. He really did come across as a good guy, if somewhat
out of control. Beau also had no idea if he’d driven to the restaurant or what his situation was.
He didn’t think Austin would be stupid enough to get behind the wheel, but he needed to be
certain.
“This is sooooo embarrassing.” Austin hiccupped. “I swear. I’m fine. Complee, uh,
complee—whoa!” Austin ran into the doorjamb on his way out the front of the restaurant.
“Thas gonna leave a mark.” He sputtered out laughter.
Oh good Lord.
“Do you need some help with him?”
Lonnie had joined them on the sidewalk, but Parker was nowhere to be seen.
“Where’s Parker?”
“He’s taking care of the bill.”
“Damn.” Austin leaned on him, his body seemingly boneless. Beau needed both hands
to keep the man upright as he wobbled about. “If you give me a minute, I can...”
Beau looked around. None of the businesses on the street had any outdoor seating.
There wasn’t even a bus bench nearby.
“Don’t worry about it. You bought our sodas earlier.”
“Thanks, Lonnie—” Austin’s knees buckled and Beau clutched him to his side. “Hey
now, buddy, hold on.”
Beau got him to stand again. Austin threw his arms around Beau’s waist, leaning his
head on his chest.
“Oh, shit.” Austin mumbled into Beau’s dress shirt and he was pretty sure he was
drooling on his silk tie. “This wha guh me in trouble the first place. Din keep hands to m’self.”
Austin peered up at him through bloodshot eyes. “You soooo hot.” He frowned, his lips
pursing as he did. “Did I say that ow loud?” He took his hands away, almost tumbling as he
did. “Please doh hit me.”
Beau sighed in exasperation, tightening his hold. “I’m not going to hit you. But I do need
to get you a taxi.”
Lonnie had his brow furrowed, a genuine look of concern on his face. “Are you sure you
don’t need help with him?”
