TTC Books and more has teamed up with Creative Minds Promotions this week to bring you ~ 'A December to Desire'
Our guest of honor this week is Author Tempeste O'Riley
and her Desires Entwined series.
The Desires Entwined series is all about love stories involving unique and sometimes challenged men. Everyone deserves their happy ever after, including this close knit group of friends. For the next week I'll be introducing you to all these amazing guys and their partners and sharing their stories with you, as well as my thoughts on each book in the series. There is also a giveaway from the Author, more details on that at the end of the post.

Book 3.5 ~ Truth in Lace
Forced on a shopping trip with his twin sister, Lyric, and her friends, Alex eyes the girls jealously, longing to be able to dress like them—to be them. The constant struggle of being “gender fluid,” wrestling with an identity that seems to change daily, begins to wear on Alex. But all those questions and fears seem more manageable when his sister gives him his first skirt and lace panties.

Tams gives this one 5/5 stars...
Alexander, Lex to his sister, Lexie to his lover, is a confused gender fluid teenager. Born a boy and treated as such by everyone around him, most of the time Lex wants to crawl out of his own skin. When he looks in the mirror, he doesn’t like what he sees. The fact that he can identify as male or female is off putting to say the least. Until Lex can fully embrace and be comfortable as both Lex and Lexie, life is going to be miserable.
Lex’s twin sister Lyric can see the internal struggle and while she may not understand how or what her brother is feeling, she loves him unconditionally, so she takes the steps to help Lex be more comfortable in his own skin. Will the feel of the lace against Lex’s skin allow him to embrace his feminine side? Or will he continue to struggle with his personality?
I think that Lexie has become my favorite character of this series. The gender fluid, intelligent, androgynous chef with his striking sense of style and down to earth personality literally worked his way in under my skin. While I don’t necessarily relate to the character, what I do relate to is his struggle, his need to be loved and the desire to just be comfortable with every facet of his own soul.
Fans of the series will really enjoy this look behind the scenes with Lex and Lyric and a unique insight into the mind of a gender fluid person. I think that O’Riley, being transgender herself, brings a little something extra to the table with an innate ability to pour her own pain and confidence into the words of the story. I am just captivated by this character, and I can’t wait to see more for Lexie in future stories.
