Author Q&A Part II with Shaye Evans
Do you ever suffer
from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?
Oh yes! It doesn’t
matter how well I plot or have things organised it hits me when I least expect
it. I have several cures for writer’s block. Either I go on and write something
else and come back to what I’m stuck on later on, listen to some music, go for
a walk and plot it out in my head while walking or I just write out it.
What Author’s in the
genre do you read?
I don’t usually
read a book based on an author. I just read what I like the sound of, but Kora
Knight’s is one author I follow.
What comes first, the
plot or characters?
It depends on the story. Sometimes the plot comes to me
first and other times the characters, but most of the time the plot comes to me
first.
Are you working on
anything at the present you would like to tell us about?
Oh boy. I have
several projects in the works, ranging from paranormal to sci if to angst, as
well as several re-releases. There’s just never enough time in the year for me
to get out all my stories. As of right now, I have about thirty or more files
of stories I plan to someday write.
Thank you for your book reviews and author interviews. As a fairly new reader in the M/M genre, I learn about new authors and books by blogs like yours!
