Brett Wright and Finn de Morisco come from vastly different worlds. Disowned by his family for being gay, Brett builds both a life on his own terms and walls around his emotions. But nothing can prepare him for the evil that stalks him in the night or from discovering the dark secrets of his heritage.
The youngest of a doting family, Finn lives a sheltered life that allows him to trust easily and makes him quick to jump to the rescue. While using his knowledge of the supernatural world to help Brett uncover the truth of his ancestry, Finn learns nothing in life is as simple and risk-free as he believed.
New knowledge comes with a price—one that may prove too high for them to pay.

I absolutely loved Submerging Inferno. There is a lot going on. It is very different from most vampire stories and it really isn’t a romance. There is a lot of dealing with inner turmoil, finding oneself, loving and losing.
Brandon has such a way with description that pulls you right into the story. I felt like I was in the water with Brett, at the funeral, hurting, all of it. This is an incredible new world of paranormal with very interesting new types of creatures.
I will warn you though; this story probably isn’t for everyone. There are some scenes of rape and violence and its riddled with angst.

Heartbroken, angry, and hurting, warlock Finn de Morisco feels darkness growing inside, altering every aspect of his life. There are moments when the man he used to be seems to have been devoured completely. Retreating from his family and everything he once held dear, Finn attempts to escape the despair left in the wake of Brett’s rejection—only to find dangers he never knew existed.
Still struggling with the decision to leave everything he knew behind, Brett Wright is swept into a maelstrom as he searches for his place within his newly discovered family. Life beneath the surface of the ocean should have been unlike anything he’s ever known, yet prejudice over his demon ancestry and homosexuality follows him. Even the existence he begins to build may not last as those he is learning to love face extinction.

Rising Frenzy is book two and this series needs to be read
in order. This story takes up where Submerging Inferno left off but begins with
Finn’s POV. You get several stories wrapped in one in this book with Finn,
Brett and a shocking surprise. There are new worlds, one dark (the square that
calls to Finn) and one colorful and different (the undersea where we find Brett.)
There is a lot going one. The story is dark and edgy and keeps you on your toes
throughout.

Clashing is poignant
and heartfelt, mystical, and magical, dark and heart-wrenching at times. This is definitely not a Cinderella love
story or a sparkling vamp romance. It’s extremely emotional and full of angst.
There were several surprising twists that left me in shock. I will say near the
end it brought tears to my eyes. Though
there are only a couple sex scenes they are quite the scorchers. I cannot wait
to see more from this series.

Brandon Witt's outlook on life is greatly impacted by his
first eighteen years of growing up gay in a small town in the Ozarks, as well
as fifteen years as a counselor and special education teacher for students with
severe emotional disabilities. Add to that his obsession with corgis and
mermaids, then factor in an unhealthy love affair with cheeseburgers, and you
realize that with all those issues, he's got plenty to write about....
Thanks for the review! This series sounds really good. I am currently reading Brandon Witt's Under a Sky of Ash and really loving his writing.
