Being rich has its advantages, but it is also rife with suffocating pressures and family telling Chandler Buckingham how to live his life. When his assistant offers to help him escape the mounting obligations of the holiday season by running away to Hawaii, Chandler jumps at the chance. Only to find nothing is quite as he’d expected.

Micah Keolu has lived in Hawaii all his life. He has to work two jobs and has little time for a social life, but his loving family and the island beauty around him have given him a heart as big as the ocean. And then one day he rescues a man trapped in an elevator in the building where Micah lives and works maintenance.

The unexpected happens as they find themselves drawn together, only to learn there is more to each other than meets the eye. Can two men from very different worlds find a way to enrich each other’s lives? Maybe the magic of the holidays just might bring them lasting joy!

Chandler Buckingham is a wealthy businessman. His family has a vast empire, and his mom expects him to run it. She also expects him to head a Christmas charity function, give a speech and have a young woman as a date. He wants none of it.  He feels his sister should get that opportunity but since he is the last male Buckingham his mom expects him to produce an heir. So Chandler does what he always does and disappears, this time with help from his personal assistant Tim who is his ex as well.

Micah works two jobs; one provides him a room as well. He gets around on a Bike and has never been off the Island.  Micah Is happy with his life but hopes someday he can go to the mainland. One day the elevator gets stuff, and he meets Chander who is under an assumed name. They click but will Chandlers secrets and the fact he has to go back someday to work be the end of their relationship?

Mele Kalikimaka is a cute Christmas story.  It's an opposites attract and also Chandler sees what real life is, not just having everything handed on a silver platter. I loved both Chandler and Micah and Tim too.  My only issue is that it ended suddenly and seemed unfinished to me. I would have liked just a little more on what happens with Chandler and Micah.

If you like sweet holiday stories, different customs, opposites attract and an allover sweet romance this is for you.

Noah Willoughby has heard all the jokes about his name, e.g. “Where’s your ark?” Born in Washington State during the eighties, the greatest decade for music, Noah is an introvert, spending a lot of his time observing the human world in all of its bizarre glory.

With an interest in books, movies, shows, and music that span many different genres, his imagination is getting into gear with stories of humanity in its many forms. He has been interested in storytelling from a young age and is compelled to finally get his ideas on paper.
