Happy Holidays and welcome to the TTC Books and more 12 Days of Giveaways Event!
I've teamed up with 12 amazing Authors to put together 12 days of fun that will include promos, spotlights, reviews, special Christmas guest posts and... giveaways! Each day starting today and going through December 23rd will spotlight a different Author, and each Author is offering up a giveaway on their day. You could win e-books, giftcards, swag and more. For day 3 of the event put your hands together for Jeff Adams and his book, Rivals, which has just released on Audiobook!
Mitchell Turner and Alex Goodman squared off over a face-off dot throughout high school. Their schools were cross-county rivals. Those face-offs were tough on Mitchell because he harbored a huge crush on Alex. High school and college are behind the guys and they meet unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, once again on the ice. Mitchell is home for the holidays and is thrilled to see his crush all grown up.
Alex asks Mitchell out for coffee to catch up. Could this be the start of something magical for the holidays and beyond?
Guest Post with Author Jeff Adams... For the Love of Christmas
Thanks to Tammy for having me stop by to be part of her 12 Days of Christmas!
I love Christmas and all the sparkly magic that goes with it. I’m a die-hard fan of Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas movies, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise that I write either Christmas stories or Christmas scenes when I can. Rivals was my very first short published and it was written to go into a holiday collection. It didn’t make the collection, but it did get published standalone back in 2009. It actually takes place from Thanksgiving through Christmas as Mitchell Turner and Alex Goodman get a second chance at each other when they’re both home for the holidays after they’ve graduated from college. They’d been cross-county rivals as high school hockey players, and then lost touch. Coming back together though gives them them the opportunity to finally get together. This story is near and dear to me since it was my first gay romance out to the world. I had a chance to expand and re-release it in 2014, which I happily did. It was great to revisit Mitchell and Alex and expand their romance. For this holiday season, Rivals evolved yet again and its now an audiobook, performed by the excellent Derrick McClain. It’s been very cool listening to how Derrick brought Mitchell and Alex to life. I’ve got Christmas three times in the Hat Trick trilogy. In the first Hat Trick, Simon and Alex get to spend some unplanned time away for the holidays as Simon is invited by Alex’s parents to join them for Christmas with Alex’s grandparents. In Hat Trick Overtime: A Classic Winter’s Night (this is 1.5 in the series and is a free download), the guys are in Detroit after an outdoor hockey game and end up skating in a Christmas wonderland. Then in Hat Trick 3: Penalty Shot, the guys are home for a few days from college and use Christmas evening as a time to catch up with high school friends. I also had a story as part of Dreamspinner’s Advent Calendar in 2015. Holiday Hotel Hookup focuses on a holiday business trip that turns into much more that IT security consultant Martin Bell had in mind. I hope you and yours are getting ready for a great Christmas and holiday season. I’d love to hear in the comments what your favorite Christmas story is (gay romance or otherwise).
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
Jeff's written stories since he was in middle school and became a gay romance writer in 2009 when his first short stories were published. Since then he's written several more shorts and novels, including some in the young adult genre, and he plans to keep writing as long as wonderful readers keeping picking up his books.
Jeff lives in rural Northern California with his husband of twenty years, Will. Some of his favorite things include the musicals Rent and [title of show], the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey teams, and the reality TV competition So You Think You Can Dance. If forced to pick his favorite book it would be a tie between Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and David Levithan's Every Day.
Jeff is also the co-host of Jeff & Will's Big Gay Fiction Podcast.

I've read many stories that take place over Christmas, and honestly, none have stuck with me. So, I'll say that my favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. So funny and not sappy. acm05atjuno.com
ReplyDeleteYou cannot go wrong with "A Christmas Story!" Funny, heartfelt. I watch it at least once when TBS (or is it TNT) plays it all day.
DeleteFavorite M/M Holiday story read in 2016 ~> Glass Tidings by Amy Jo Cousins.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just listened to Derrick McLain for the first time, narrating SAVING SILAS by SJ Himes... omg, ear candy! Eargasmic! I could listen to him all-day-long and still not hear enough!
Favorite Christmas movie (classic) ~> Rudolph, (modern) ~> The Holiday, (non-traditional) ~> Edward Scissorhands or The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Favorite Song ~> Carol of the Bells (Pentatonix rendition)
Favorite Holiday treat ~> Eggnog (drink), Hershey's Candy Canes (sweets)
Thank you for the chance ~ I'd totally love to be able to listen to McLain's narrations once again and review this title.
I love all your takes on the Christmas question! I think I need to go get some Hershey's Candy Canes.
DeleteI highly recommend, if you haven't already heard it, that you get Derrick reading TJ Klune's "How To Be A Normal Person." I love, love, love it. You'll never hear (or think of) "Oh my God" the same way again. :)
Congrats Happily Ever Chapter, you are the monthly giftcard giveaway winner for December. Check your email!!
DeleteI've read a few Christmas stories I've enjoyed over the years and quite a few Hallmark movies.
