Deacon Reid was born bad to the bone with no intention of changing. A lifetime of law-bending and living on the edge suits him just fine, until his baby sister dies and he finds himself raising her little girl.
Staring down a family history of bad decisions and reaped consequences, Deacon cashes in everything he owns, purchases an auto shop in Half Moon Bay, and takes his niece, Zig, far away from the drug dens and murderous streets they grew up on. Zig deserves a better life than what he had, and Deacon is determined to give it to her.
Lang Harris is stunned when Zig, a little girl in combat boots and a purple tutu, blows into his bookstore, and then he's left speechless when her uncle, Deacon Reid, walks in hot on her heels. Lang always played it safe, but Deacon tempts him to step over the line...just a little bit.
More than a little bit. And Lang is willing to be tempted.
Unfortunately, Zig isn't the only bit of chaos dropped into Half Moon Bay. Violence and death strike, leaving Deacon scrambling to fight off a killer before he loses not only Zig but Lang too.

"Great Characters and story"
If you could sum up Fish Stick Fridays in three words, what would they be?
Gotta love Zig
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the quirky characters, the mix of drama, comedy, and romance.
Have you listened to any of Spencer Goss’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I loved this narration. Spencer did a great job of bringing each character to life even a little girl. I also loved how he made The twins lang and Weston distinguishable when they were present and his sexy voices were to die for.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed many times. Probably every time Zig cussed which was almost every time she spoke.
Any additional comments?
Fish Stick Fridays is a very fast paced, well written, well-narrated story.
Deacon was a bad boy and never planned on changing until the death of his sister. He gave up all he had to fight for custody of his niece and finally won. He bought a mechanic shop in Half Moon Bay and took Zig far away hoping it's far enough to keep her safe. Right here is enough to make you fall in love. Who doesn't like a hot, motorcycle driving, bad boy that gives it all up to raise a kid?
Lang is a bookstore and property owner in Half Moon Bay. He is very wealthy but not pretentious. He has two funny cats. Here is another reason to love the book. Sexy, rich and not pretentious the cats are cute too.
When Zig storms into lang's shop in a tutu, bright leggings, and combat boots with wild hair with her sexy uncle on her heels he didn't realize how much his life would be changing.
And This was another reason to love the book Zig stole the show with her foul mouth and wild attitude.
Now mix these characters in with not one but two mysteries because both men have their pasts, lots of drama, action, and romance you have a story you must read!

Rhys Ford is a firm believer in love and let love, short walks to a coffee shop and having a spare cat or two. Most days she can be found swearing at her laptop and trying to come up with new ways to kill off perfectly good random characters. Rhys Ford was born and raised in Hawai’i then wandered off to see the world. After chewing through a pile of books, a lot of odd food, and a stray boyfriend or two, Rhys eventually landed in San Diego, which is a very nice place but seriously needs more rain. Rhys admits to sharing the house with cats of varying degrees of black fur, and a ginger cairn terrorist. Rhys is also enslaved to the upkeep a 1979 Pontiac Firebird, a Toshiba laptop, and a red Hamilton Beach coffee maker.
