Two Weeks To Life is book four, but it stands alone just fine.
Carl is 57 and been on the police force 30 years. He is in the middle of a very rough case with missing teenage girls. Carl goes to his nephew's wedding and meets a sexy hotel owner Elijah. He finds Elijah could be one man that could make him want more than a hookup. The trouble is Elijah lives over 300 miles away and is married to is the job as well.
Elijah has burned out from Realestate. He sold his business and bought a hotel that needed lots of work. Elijah spent most of his time remodeling and had little time for a relationship. Meeting Carl makes him want things he hasn't in a long time.
I am going to warn you there could be some triggers in this book. #1 Carl is a police detective and working on a missing girl case. Nothing there is very detailed. However. Carl likes to dominate some, so there is a little BDSM in the book so if that's not your thing...
I really liked this story. I liked that Carl is an older man and Elijah is also older, and both are well established and know what they want. I also like they are tow Alpha men and work on figuring things out. I loved Carls family. The wedding is beautifully descriptive.
If you like older men, police detectives, hotel owners, a good romance and a touch of BDSM you will like this story.
Larry Thomas aka John Charles spent his youth struggling with reading. Not until his late teens did he discover the cause - dyslexia. Only then, with guidance and professional help, did he learn to read. From that point forward, he discovered his love for the printed word.
Ironically, as a father reading to his children his desire to write was born. Reading to his children was a nightly ritual. "I wanted them to fall in love with books."
Writing was always part of his professional career, but not until he retired did he move from creating marketing and technical materials to writing novels. Now, as a full-time author, Larry writes Romance / Mystery / Thrillers using the pseudonym John Charles.
His books can be found on Amazon and wherever e-books are sold.
