Beckett is the youngest of three Montgomery Brothers. Ashton (book One)is the oldest and Knoxville is only 11 months older than Beckett. Beckett is not ready to settle down. He usually is the love-em and leave-em type until he sees Shanelle at a club on his birthday. But it appears she has a boyfriend.

Shanelle is a trauma nurse. She is now living alone since her best friend has moved in with her fiance. She meets Andrew and handsome man that lives down the hall. That evening she meets him again at the club that She has gone to with her friend and er Fiance's promotion party. A few nights later she awakens to the shadow of a man in her bedroom door watching her sleep. She calls the police and Becket is the detective on duty.

Heat is a sexy romance with a touch of suspense. The characters are all interesting and the plot was intriguing if not a bit predictable. I didn't want to put it down once I started. Ashton's assistant Lexington that has the hots for Beckett stole the book though. I hope he gets a story as well!
