What did you like best about this story?

I liked how Devon took over Chase to keep him safe and they bonded. I can see Devon's sense of responsibility and Chase feeling attached to him.I can get how they could easily fall in love.It is sort of like a knight rescuing a damsel (guy) in distress and protecting him from the evil.

Which scene was your favorite?

Where Devon talks to Chase's parents. (can't say more it would be spoilers)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I can't say I had an extreme reaction but I did enjoy it and it kept me engaged.

Chase ran away from home at the age of 16 afraid his parents wouldn't accept he was gay and not wanting to disappoint them or embarrass them in tier church and community. A man (James Kingston) picks him up offering a warm bed, roof over his house food and clothing. James told him he contacted his parents and they wanted nothing to do with Chase. James kept Chase hostage, beating him, depriving him of food and abusing him. Chase thought this was what a sub was sposed to be like.

Devon comes to work at his BDS club one night to one of his doms beating the crap out of a young sub while is master did nothing. Devon and security stop it fired the dom and took the sub into his care. Devon told Chase he could stay with him and they would protect him from Kinston. Devon and his group devised a plan to do so.

I liked the story. I listened to it in two days time. I liked the characters and the plot of the story. I always like some suspense thrown in and the reasons why Devon didn't like Kinston helped make the story more than just a BDSM romance. my only issue was that the story had the feel of being a part of a series and we missed all the background on Devon: how and why he started the club and why his friends are so protective. I would have liked more background on Devon.

I felt the BDSM in this story is only of the safe, sane and consensual kind– more pleasure than pain and fairly mild. Though what Kingston did to Chase falls squarely in the unsafe, insane and dubious consent camp and that was all off the page.

If you like a fast-paced story, close-knit characters, hot Doms or Master sexy subs and a charming romance this is for you.

I'm a writer and a reader and I'm completely in love with m/m fiction. My family thinks I'm absolutely bonkers but they love me and are very proud of me. I've always been an advocate of equality but it wasn't until lately that I've actually come to understand what that means...and I'm still learning.

Around my 40th birthday I discovered something that changed my life. I was a big fan of Torchwood and was looking around Youtube for fan vids when I discovered the Luke and Noah story on As the World Turns. I sat and watched the whole story in less than a week and I was hooked. But the writing was terrible...really really terrible and I got so frustrated and though "I can do better than that!" I sat down and wrote my first story and I never looked back.

From there to being published the first time felt like it took forever, but it really happened so fast my head is still spinning to this day. These days I'm reading and writing and working and I love sharing myself this way with others. I have met amazing authors and received fantastic messages from people who have read my books. I hope to keep doing this for a long time!
