Opposites who go together like country and rock ’n’ roll.
Long before he was a superstar, Remy Sean had a secret crush on Jed Riley. But Jed sees Remy as a spoiled pop rocker and an extension of his father’s control. Still, Jed is willing to let Remy hide from the press on his ranch - but only as a way to get his father out of his life and business for good.
Used to being admired and fawned over, Remy keenly feels the sting of Jed’s dismissal. Can he make Jed see him as more than a pain in the ass? Or is Jed too tangled up in his ranch to see past his old hurt?
Jed doesn’t believe someone desired by so many fans could want him, a simple cowboy. But Remy is determined to change Jed’s mind and steal his heart....

Cat gives this one 5 Meows...
Colin Darcy did a great job voice acting this book. Each character had a distinctive voice which is a must for me and man oh man did he make the sex scenes hot. (fans self) I highly suggest listening to this if you get the chance!
This story hit on so many of my lists. I didn't mark May/December though it is stated that Jed is older than Remy but not how much and second chance though they never were in a relationship before, Remy had a crush on Jed from when he visited the ranch as a teen.
Remy is a pop star that has hit a snag. He needs to hide and recuperate from a mishap in Athens on a world tour. He fears he has lost his music. Buddy his manager and Jed's father, has just the place for Remy to hide.
Jed has plans for his ranch but is in a bind because in actuality the ranch is his father's land even though his father left years ago for California to manage stars. Jed has nothing to do with his father and wants no part of keeping his father's spoiled pop star on the ranch. But his sister wants her father to walk her down the aisle and Jed wants the deed so he makes a deal with his dad.
The story is a slow burn as Jed keeps Remy at arm's length at first, but Remy soon grows on him and they manage to become friends, then lovers.
Remy and Jed are a new favorite couple for me. I love how though opposites they just seem to fit, how Remy through the smaller and more effeminate looking was tough and went for what he wanted. I loved Jed because...Hot cowboy, that cooks? DUH! The storyline is good and keeps you interested.
My only issue was the ending felt rushed. The last chapter has so much packed in, I wish it had been separated out into a couple of chapters and showed us the visit from Remy's mom and the other things that happen here than a quick explanation. Having said that, I got the real feel of a happy ever after not just the impression of one.
If you like Cowboys, pop stars, opposites attract and an allover good romance this is for you.

Skylar M. Cates loves a good romance, especially ones that are both steamy and emotionally satisfying. She is quite happy to drink coffee, curl up with a good book, and not move all day. Her best-selling novels feature strong, passionate men. Skylar loves to craft stories where realistic men are challenged with emotional situations. Skylar’s character-driven series will often feature close-knit families, animals, and loyal friendships being tested.
Skylar dreams about spending her days writing novels, walking along the beach, and listening to good live music. She also dreams of eating dessert without weight gain and robots cleaning her house. But she knows she can’t have it all… yet. Although lately the laundry room is the farthest place she has visited, Skylar still loves to chat with people from all around the globe.
Skylar can be found on Facebook, Twitter, or on her blog.
