When private investigator
Shane Stephens is hired by the mayor of Cincinnati to track down the hacker who
has been threatening him, Shane is sure this is the opportunity to launch the
Merleau Detection Agency into the big time. He even convinces Rowe Ward of Ward
Security to loan him one of his best IT specialists, Quinn Lake.
Shane, a man who prefers
casual intimacy, is surprised by his attraction to the moody computer geek, but
when Quinn suggests they have fun for the month he’s on loan, Shane happily
agrees. Both men are expecting nothing more than a good time.
But the investigation
takes an unexpected turn, and they quickly discover they are facing more than a
hacker out to ruin the mayor’s re-election chances. And as they spend more time
together, they realize their relationship may be a lot more than just a good
time.
With only weeks until the
election, Shane and Quinn race to gather the proof they need while dodging
bullets and possibly...falling in love.

Shane and his partner are
starting a detective agency when a case falls in Shane's lap that could make
them stand out and get them more clients.
But he needs the best Hacker he can find. He turns to Rowe at Ward Security and gets
Quinn for the month, little did he know he was going to get more than his IT help.
When Shane keeps tossing
innuendos at Quinn for a night of fun, Quinn propositions him with instead of a
one night stand they fool around the month he is there. Shane takes him up on
it. But the case takes on a dangerous turn putting both him and Quinn in
danger.
I love nerd stories and
really liked Quinn. He isn't just a cowardly type nerd either but not like the
other bodyguards either. Shane was new and I liked him too, but really wondered
how this would tie into the Ward Books, but it did.
Once again I have to say
that this book is great on its own...but if you can get the audio I highly
recommend it. Kenneth Obi lends so much
life to the story. He has the best emotions that he gives the book with the
love scenes and exciting scenes. You can hear the pants when they run and sighs
etc. It gives you a good break when doing chores or long rides.
Jocelynn Drake... By day,
Jocelynn Drake is a clean-cut financial editor, picking apart stories about
Wall Street and the global markets. But in her free time, she writes about
explosions, car chases, men in search of love, and underworlds where vampires and
warlocks rule.
The author of Dark Days,
Asylum Tales, and Unbreakable Bonds series, she lives in Florida with her
husband, dog, and cat. When she's not working on her next book, she's usually
hiding from the sun by playing video games.
Rinda Elliott... While all
of my books are romantic and sexy, most lean toward erotic. For adult books
that are just sexy, there are my Beri O'Dell books and if you're looking for
sweeter, but still sexy, there's the young adult trilogy I wrote for Harlequin
Teen. All of the others? Expect some heat because I love it. ;) I also love
unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who
moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction
and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For
years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I
published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and
mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music,
gaming and spending time with my husband and two children.
Thank you for the review!
