Let me introduce myself, my name is Jayne, I’m a lady of a certain age (over 50, bites fingernails). I am an identical twin, the younger one of course by 7 minutes. I am married to a wonderfully complicated man, and we’re heading towards our 28 years together (yeah that’s a lot of year I could have been out for good behaviour now ☺). I have one daughter and two grandbabies one boy and one girl.

I was born in the Isle of Man; this makes me Manx (not British or English). I moved to the UK for several years, and as a child I lived in Italy for a while. But, the island calls to me so I returned home in 1998. I love the sea and now it’s only a stone’s throw from my home. 

After 35 years of working in health I finally gave up my old career as a nurse this year and I’m now a full time writer. This is a completely scary thing, but I’ve jumped off into the abyss now I need to see what happens next. 

I have always believed that I could and would write a book, but life just seemed to get in the way. Now I have 16 published books, two written ready for the next stages and a thousand and one ideas for more. I’ve given myself a 12 book challenge for this year and so far I’m sticking to my monthly releases!!

I’d never noticed that I have two themes that run my books hurt/comfort and age gaps. It took sitting to go through my books to notice (insert eye roll). 

To get my creative juices flowing I use pictures and music and boy, do those work for me. I have a book I keep my ideas in because my boys are pushy and like to jump the queue. I’ve written Daddy Kink, BDSM, Paranormal with a twist, Sweet Romance and Fake Relationships. I also don’t tend to write standalones it would seem as currently I only have one of those!!

I’ve future plans to switch things up and write YA, I have an outline already planned for my first book. I’m also going to branch off into M/F due to an underlying theme in my Manx Cat Series. But that is not a current plan but a future one.

Writing has unleashed a beast in my mind and now I can’t switch it off. So what the future holds is anyones business, because I am clueless ☺
