He appears to her; nothing more than an apparition. She reaches to touch him. Wonders whether her hand will go right through. But he’s here after fifteen years. She keeps telling herself that must mean something.
Even if Jamie’s no longer in the flesh.
He won’t leave until he saves her. Whatever the hell that means.
Maybe Jamie’s simply another ghost from the past haunting her in the present. She’s not in the business of being saved.
But Jamie? Neither is he.

Cat gives this 5 stars since that is all she is allowed with a 0 purr heat index ( all sex is off-page)...
If I could leave more stars for this is would! You can't get a better second chance than your first true love from Fifteen years ago showing up and you find out what you thought back then was all wrong and you are soul mates... BUT there's a catch. Jamie hanged himself weeks ago and has come back as a spirit to save you from the same fate.
This is a book of two hurting teens that come together in high school but didn't reach out and open up about their hurts back then only for that to push them away when things happen.
The story does skip from the present to the past and back a lot especially in the beginning but it does it seamlessly and you always know where you are.
Though the story has some darkness it touches on suicidal thoughts and attempted suicide a lot... It does it quite well and I hope maybe someone with these thoughts can read this and see there is hope.
Both Jamie and Jemma are amazing characters and the storing is deep, interesting, and has a touch of humor to lighten the darkness. It is an amazing story! I can't wait to see what Prometheus Rising is about.
Rachel Radner has been writing since the first grade when her teacher handed her a journal and instructed her to write about her day. Since then she's continued journalling... though she spends most of her time writing fictional stories. There's always another idea that comes to her randomly. You should see the notes on her phone. Seriously.
Rachel lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband and two furry Golden Retrievers (*cough* children *cough*). When she isn't writing, she can be seen drinking coffee or tea... and probably watching something geeky on the internet. Or one of her favorite movies like Casablanca. Oh yeah, and she also has an unhealthy obsession with history and learning languages. Latin. German. French. Japanese.
Look out for the linguist character coming to a Rachel Radner book near you.
