Chanel left the diner and heard a cry for help in the alley and, not realizing how serious it was, she stepped in to find it was the serial killer. When she screamed for help a man grabbed her and turns out, it was her handsome neighbor who's also a doctor. They barely escape and are put into a safe house together, but soon the killer comes there, meaning there is a leak. They go on the run to save themselves and figure out how to get help.

I have read a couple of the books in this series but this stands alone enough you don’t have to read the others first. But the previous stories are so good and you meet her friends and Chanel so why not start there?

The characters are interesting, Ryan is sexy and charming if not a bit cocky, Chanel is strong and the real hero, and we get to meet the other friends in the end again. The plot is interesting, fast paced, the story is short since this is one of the short stories but so, so good. It’s nail biting and keeps you on your toes and the sex is really hot.
