Hi Y’all! Come in and grab a cookie and a cold drink while I tell you about this book I just read.
The title is Hero in Waiting by Andrew Grey. It is book 1 in the Heroes Inc series and I do love the cover. Who doesn’t like a sexy man? Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because, the one who got away and danger, yep count me in.
Who’s my favorite main character?
I liked them all. But Gelly, the 5 year old niece, is so adorable and a show stealer.
The story is mainly set in Well’s sister’s house where he currently lives helping care for her daughter while she works. Though occasionally they are in a lovely park. I’d like to go feed the ducks too. The story is a romance with suspenseful elements.
What surprised me most about the book was?
A little twist that involved Gelly’s father.
What did I like best?
I loved the romance but also the humor Gelly brings to the story.
Was there something I didn’t like?
No. This story gave me the warm fuzzies. But most Andrew Grey books do. If you need a lift grab one (or three). I loved the ending, it was HEA, and set up for more in a new series I will be watching for.
How hot was the book?
3 purrs.
If you like second chances, older characters, ex- military, cute kids and an all over feel good romance with some mystery and suspense, you will love this.
