The title is A Mage’s Guide to Human Familiar by AJ Sherwood, it is book 1 the R’iyah family series. It is narrated by 3 fabulous narrators; Michael Ferraiulo, Tim Paige and Greg Boudreaux.
Who’s my favorite main character?
I can’t pick, I love them all, and there’s so many to pick from! Even a demon great, great, great grandpa. The story is a paranormal romance with lots of humor.
Were there significant plot twists and turns?
Yes, the pull of two familiars, and the several jobs they do.
What did I like best?
The Hellhounds, the demon grandpa and the narration.
Was there something I didn’t like?
Well Nikki and Wicki are in their 30’s yet act like they are 9. It’s funny but a bit too immature over the top.
What would have made that better?
Just taking their actions down a notch.
I loved the ending, it's a HEA, but lets us know there is more to come.
How hot was the book?
Pretty hot and it’s poly.
The narration is amazing! I loved the three narrators and all three are favorites. I loved how each main character had a separate voice, cadence and all, this was perfect.
If you like mages, age gap, polyamorous relationships, demons, special ops, and a fabulous narration you will love this.
AJ Sherwood believes in happily ever afters, magic, dragons, good men, and dark chocolate. She often dreams at night of delectable men doing sexy things with each other. In between writing multiple books (often at the same time) she pets her cats, plays with her dogs, and attempts insane things like aerial yoga. She currently resides in Michigan with aforementioned dogs and cats. Being in snow country gives her the excuse to stay inside and watch bl dramas, which suit her perfectly.
